I gladly pay the .99 a month.

If it's for a third, it's a no brainer. He's a stud when healthy. The Bears have the ability to front load the contract in order to pay less later. Also the draft is stacked at edge next year, so we can get another one or two of them. Keep the pipeline fresh and the cap sound.

Six or seven should save him. Here's a crazy thought. Poles could even extend him if he decides to draft another quarterback. Especially, if it shows that Flus has the locker room and that Getsy is a competent OC. An extension would provide greater stability for a new QB entering the NFL, with the house already being built. Scheme specific players and comfort in culture could be a really good start.

Wright didn't practice today. My guess is that he's getting some treatment.

That's exactly what I'm talking about. Justin does none of this. We want to talk shit on Getsy, but is that really the deal? In no way am I carrying that Bagent is Rodgers, but he does well what Rodgers does well. Quick release, quick decisions, accuracy and safe handling of the football. Rodgers is an all time great at deep accuracy and that is something that sets them apart. Does Bagent have it or not? I'm ready to find out...

Zach Wilson and Trey Lance were never labelled generational. Neither was Fields. In the last fifteen years, only Andrew Luck and Trevor Lawrence got that label. This year, the experts are saying Williams and Maye. Fields has had three years to improve his mechanics and release time. Fail. So what if he can run and his teammates like him. Guess what? They like winning more. What you saw with Bagent is what you are going to get. Preparedness, moxy, quick release, accuracy and leadership. Fields can't even show a sense of urgency, because he is too damn cool.

I'd masturbate myself with a cactus if we could get that. So, yes I'm all in on trading Fields.

They tried that at the beginning of the season and it was miserable. When they asked Flus about it, he said, "you have to be able to be successful from the pocket to succeed in the NFL". Justin said, a couple weeks later, "that he needs to play free-er". We've seen the failures of Justin in the pocket. We've seen the successes of Justin playing free. My problem with all of it is, we are still surprised when he does something great. And we are getting sick of him "not seeing it" especially when are screaming, because we see it. Through three years of Justin, we are still making arguments for and against, just like we did Trubisky. All the while, Trubisky was better. I don't care what anyone says about Bagent. He is already better than Fields. I'm done with the lack of urgency that Mr Cool Justin displays every time he gets on the field. Every cool motion he does gives the defense another millisecond to react. I'm out...

He just signed a multi year extension before the season. But, no to Belichick...

Good point. I'm guessing they will be looking for a new HC as well. Rivera has produced more mediocre teams than Jeff Fisher.

His tempo is really terrible. Everything he does is nonchalant mechanically. He broadcasts every throw he makes by being too cool. I'm done with Fields. He has never shown any sense of urgency. The dude can't even throw a slant without it being slapped in his face. Bagent is simply better. (Already) Faster release, better tempo, stronger decisions, better accuracy, anticipation, blah blah blah. What talent has Fields displayed that is greater than any of the above? The eye test is undefeated...

QB this draft is ridiculous. Add in Nix, Penix and Sanders also...
-
True. How's your support for Fields coming along?
-
It's just you and you alone...

Different head coach, different offensive system and completely different player...
-
It's not the Bears story to tell. Davis undoubtedly asked for respectful privacy.

It's funny, they are considered mistakes, but the reason for getting them was pure and reasonable. He'll never trust the Steelers organization again and even owes them a little payback. Velus can still be serviceable. My biggest complaint with Poles, on record too, is that he didn't draft a center or guard highly. I didn't feel comfortable with Tevin Jenkins or whatever retread we had at center. Jenkins already missing four games, to start the season, messed up a lot of good intentions we had for a rebuilt line. Whitehair, Patrick and Kramer have all been injured, again, proving the need for youth up front. This mistake set the tone for this season.. But again, he legitimately tried.
