Hate. Seething hate for this mock. A TE in the first would already be a horrible move for this franchise. We don’t know what Kmet has until there is an offense in place that is coherent and creative enough to exploit defensive gaps. Elite TEs like Kittle and Mr. Taylor Swift are wide open multiple times a game and it’s not because they run 4.3s. Additionally, until the OL protects Caleb - which has a more likely chance this year - there is no way of knowing if the TE was truly successful, because a QB in front of a jail break will resort to one of three options: first read, check down, run. And then to consider TE at 10?!?? Gimme a break. That would be atrocious.

Which I won't like unless everyone surprise hates Jeanty and he slips to the Bears in the second round (he won't). The Bears would be better served waiting until the third round and getting Skattebo.

I think of that one pool-jumping dickhead. Or how Tice fell in love with Jamarcus Webb. Falling in love with players, particularly when it doesn't perfectly align with on-field production, is a fool's errand. Drafting for NFL players should be 95% on-field production, with the rest being heavy on combine.

Yeah, I'm all for recycling. I just can't stand how they immediately misplaced multiple players and thought it would work out. I don't care to look back into to Talkbears history, but I remember breaking this down at one point and the Bears had an entire OL comprised of guys playing at other than their primary position.

You're right, but 99.9999999% people believe the Bears should NOT draft the SECOND BEST RB in the draft with their first round pick.

He was a good RB, but has never been a brain when it comes to analysis. And the further away from the field it gets (i.e. player analysis), the worse he becomes.

I absolutely loathe the idea of moving OLinemen because someone else sucks or is subpar. We should have learned that lesson as a franchise so many times. Chris Williams, Kyle Long, Cody Whitehair...how many times must this be done before the lesson is learned?

I know what you’re saying, but odds don’t work like that. It’s like betting roulette red because it’s roughly 50/50 and the last roll was black. The D has been decent to good, and the O has been horrible. Keep drafting O until that side of the ball scares opponents. Just once in my adult life I’d like to see a Bears offense that is consistently in the top tier of the league.

I didn’t choose the name; I chose the position. And, yes, I chose OT. Picking RB is crazy to me. Classic Bears move. RB is overvalued. Less important. Get the right OL and it doesn’t matter.

That’s always been my issue with the “there are 75% black players so there should be more black coaches”-argument. Where the hell does everyone think the white players go when they aren’t good enough to play any more but still desperately want to be connected to football? It’s not about some hidden racism like it may have been in the 60s or before. These are multimillion dollar organizations, and guys like Mike Tomlin can get a job whenever he wants. Otherwise, it’s a pure numbers game, and there are probably always going to be more white coaches based purely on population and statistics.

Check this out and you tell me. Princely looks like he’s on a half second delay after every single snap. But he’s strong and builds up speed, dislodging OTs upon contact. I’m not a huge fan because dudes with that skill set have a better chance of getting swallowed whole in the NFL, where OTs resemble dancing, 300-lb monsters with butterball turkeys for fists.

Isn’t the USC Center that played some with Caleb Williams available in this draft? Why not burn a 4th-5th to get him and make Caleb happy?

I like the thought process of this draft, but not selections. Fannin - Bowling Green smells like Ashland to me. Princely - Slow first step. He’s going to be a bust. Zabel - Still smells like Ashland. too much competition level risk that early for my tastes.

Take a LT from a major college program, draft him early, and then convert him into a center? Respectfully, that’s an atrocious idea.

I saw a draft where the Bears traded their first to CLE. That would take their 2nd, 3rd, 3rd, and future 2nd. At first I wasn’t sure I liked it, but looking at some players available, the idea isn’t bad. 2.01-Jonah Savaiinaea, OG, AZ - Monster. Takes Pryor’s job day one. 2.07-Jack Sawyer, DE, OSU - Temu Watt brother takes Walker’s job day one. 2.09-Wyatt Milum, OT, WV - ZERO sacks or pressures in 2024. Takes Borom’s job before the draft is over. 3.03-Tate Ratledge, OG, UGA: Has everything we thought Teven Jenkins would be. 3.08-Andrew Mukuba, FS, TX: Google “Mukuba Stockton hit.” He starts by mid season at worst. 3.30-Cam Skattebo, RB, AZST: Gritty. Has heart. Hard to argue with production. That’d be quite a haul and likely fill most major holes immediately. Would you make that trade? If so, what would you do in those draft slots?

Preach. Which is why the Lovie-2 was so infuriating and probably took years off the average Bears fan’s life. (Also because the scheme doesn’t work without Urlacher, Briggs, & Peanut.)

He’s on the trade block, injury prone, and has a big contract. I’d call the Rams and offer a 4th, whatever salary split makes sense, and see how bad they want to dump him.

Honestly, I think he’s the RB version of Dexter Manley. Great at football, good at X’s and O’s, but probably dumb as a box of rocks, or just straight up illiterate. What other explanation could there be?
