  1. He's buds with Flus per Waddle on ESPN 1000.
  2. Its becoming obvious that Justin is not seeing the field nor reacting to the D as a good NFL QB must. His record as a QB sucks. All his fault? No, but his lack of quick reaction/read skills is preventing him from improving as a QB. Getsy hasn't done him any favors, either, and what he does with Bagent is going to give us a good idea of his staying or going as OC.
  3. That's what I want for Xmas. ?
  4. Yep, Peterman can be resigned now. ?
  5. Running game could take a big hit due to injuries, though we have 10 days before the next game. Herbert's injury looked nasty, but he came back. Johnsons concussion could be over by the next game, I hope. Conundrum: If Fields does continue to progress, do we win more games, taking us out of the early draft spots? Still, we always have the Panthers to get us that golden ticket. I'd have to see Fields bring us back in several games to buy into him as our ultimate QB. I hope he does, but not convinced yet. He's gonna have several opportunities to prove it the rest of the season. Oh, and what happened to Getsy? Did we have any quick LOS throws that end up losing yards? Play calling was a great improvement.
  6. Long way to go before next April. He's got a lot to think about between now and then, why would he mouth off about HIM selecting the team at this time? Only inflates his ego at this point.
  7. My all time favorite Bear. One tough guy on the field.
  8. Agree. Unless Fields turns into a Mahomes or Lamar J clone it would be counter-productive to building a long-term winner here. And that's what Poles is about, right?
  9. And look at Detroit now. They are a solid organization after years of disfunction. Hell yeah I'd take a stab at the Lions' OC. Once upon a time the Steelers were the bottom feeder of the league and then the organization turned around in the 70s. We are now the bottom feeder and imDo Poles is doing a good job of building for future success. Flus and staff have to go, Not sold on Field's ability to read D's yet so he may need to go too. But yes, I' look at the Lion's OC for sure.
  10. Agreed. It seems that Getsy struggles to put Fields in positions and situations to sucede. Problem is that most OCs out there only get attention under a capable QB. Saw and article that listed the Lions, Chargers and Bills OC as viable, and two of those have very good QBs.
  11. Mistakes happen. I still think Poles has put us in the right direction at the top.
  12. I've lost faith that Fields and/or Getsy can adjust. Fields seems to lack the vision to find the open man when things get tough. And Getsy? Just another part of the coaching ineptitude.
  13. And we'll have another rookie QB with a low salary for a few years. Can apply $ for other positions. That seems to be the way the best teams have gotten there recently. New coach MUST BE offense based.
  14. I see this being the scenario. Flus and his staff are steering us into a top 5 draft pick. I don't think Fields is the answer-doesn't see the field, holds the ball too long and hasn't taken charge in the game when we needed him to. Thank God we'll have two high picks in the next draft.
  15. He has to go, but I don't see it happening this soon. Now, who is out there as candidates? And please, get a modern offense guy, that way he can develop Williams when we draft no. 1.
  16. I think that some individual players will get better, but, with all our injuries and coaching disfunction, this TEAM is not going to get better and win games. And there will probably be more injuries and further finger-pointing/denials, angry players and some that will disconnect. I don't see any leadership on this team anywhere in the organization and that is problem no. 1.
  17. Since Flus became the coach: 3-17 record, Fields is going backward--no clue how to use his skills, new additions are all under-performing. He can't get the best out of talent, so why keep him?
  18. I'm wondering if our O can even score 17pts. Sean Payton will easily out-coach Flus and Co. Can we see Bagent soon?
  19. imDo, Fields will never be a good NFL QB. He is not a passer, does not see the game, waits too long, cannot make fast decisions with the ball. And, as a 60 year fan of the Bears, if we keep the coaches as they are and Poles can't get a proactive offensive-minded coach, only drafting Jesus himself would get us over the hump.
  20. Agreed, but even he sees the obvious mess that is our coaching staff. Fields MAYBE can be fixed, but definitely NOT with the coaches we've got now.
  21. Watching the tape agree he looked a bit better. But he still holds onto the ball too long and doesn't see the field. On one play they had 8 in the box and the announcer said perfect time for a play fake, instead he stuck to the script and handed off for no gain. And Getsy is not getting it done. As a matter of fact, I don't think any coach on our squad is getting it done. We are a bad team and we'll see how pathetic we are next week against the Broncos.
  22. That strikes me as "square peg-round hole" thinking. This is clearly not Field's strength, so a great coaching staff would use his strength instead of trying to make him something he's not. Also, let's not do things just because it's always been done that way. Try thinking outside the box. It just makes me think Flus is not the guy.
