  1. Agreed. It seems that Getsy struggles to put Fields in positions and situations to sucede. Problem is that most OCs out there only get attention under a capable QB. Saw and article that listed the Lions, Chargers and Bills OC as viable, and two of those have very good QBs.
  2. Mistakes happen. I still think Poles has put us in the right direction at the top.
  3. I've lost faith that Fields and/or Getsy can adjust. Fields seems to lack the vision to find the open man when things get tough. And Getsy? Just another part of the coaching ineptitude.
  4. And we'll have another rookie QB with a low salary for a few years. Can apply $ for other positions. That seems to be the way the best teams have gotten there recently. New coach MUST BE offense based.
  5. I see this being the scenario. Flus and his staff are steering us into a top 5 draft pick. I don't think Fields is the answer-doesn't see the field, holds the ball too long and hasn't taken charge in the game when we needed him to. Thank God we'll have two high picks in the next draft.
  6. He has to go, but I don't see it happening this soon. Now, who is out there as candidates? And please, get a modern offense guy, that way he can develop Williams when we draft no. 1.
  7. I think that some individual players will get better, but, with all our injuries and coaching disfunction, this TEAM is not going to get better and win games. And there will probably be more injuries and further finger-pointing/denials, angry players and some that will disconnect. I don't see any leadership on this team anywhere in the organization and that is problem no. 1.
  8. Since Flus became the coach: 3-17 record, Fields is going backward--no clue how to use his skills, new additions are all under-performing. He can't get the best out of talent, so why keep him?
  9. I'm wondering if our O can even score 17pts. Sean Payton will easily out-coach Flus and Co. Can we see Bagent soon?
  10. imDo, Fields will never be a good NFL QB. He is not a passer, does not see the game, waits too long, cannot make fast decisions with the ball. And, as a 60 year fan of the Bears, if we keep the coaches as they are and Poles can't get a proactive offensive-minded coach, only drafting Jesus himself would get us over the hump.
  11. Agreed, but even he sees the obvious mess that is our coaching staff. Fields MAYBE can be fixed, but definitely NOT with the coaches we've got now.
  12. Watching the tape agree he looked a bit better. But he still holds onto the ball too long and doesn't see the field. On one play they had 8 in the box and the announcer said perfect time for a play fake, instead he stuck to the script and handed off for no gain. And Getsy is not getting it done. As a matter of fact, I don't think any coach on our squad is getting it done. We are a bad team and we'll see how pathetic we are next week against the Broncos.
  13. That strikes me as "square peg-round hole" thinking. This is clearly not Field's strength, so a great coaching staff would use his strength instead of trying to make him something he's not. Also, let's not do things just because it's always been done that way. Try thinking outside the box. It just makes me think Flus is not the guy.
  14. Waiting for Poles to say something after this S*&T Show.
  15. Stop It!! Hope with this group is hopeless. Coaching sucks, time to get an offense-based head coach. We need to work on the D side of the ball next offseason-- how many yards passing did Mayfield have? And yet the division could be the weakest in the NFC this year. No, I will not kill myself with hope for this team. There's always next year after we blow up the coaching staff.
  16. Hope springs eternal! Bear Down.

    Help

Ditto. Gotta be ready for Training Camp.
  18. I always like checking out the UDFAs we bring in. That's gotta be a great deal of work for the staff to pull that off.
  19. OL at 10?? I bet ya. And it took this to get Jason to post!
  20. My understanding is that he changed his story to the authorities multiple times. Yeah, young kid involved in a deadly car accident i can see his angst. But, there were two people killed and to not come forward with the real story up front screams unreliability and not facing up to responsibilty in the most fundamental way.
  21. Alonzo Spellman for sure. I'd skip him as well.
  22. What a Karen! He's gotta play the victim at all times. Poor Karen Rodgers, he got jilted by the Puckers and the media. LMAO.
