  1. When you look at last year and how promising this offense looked and we were high scoring and moving the ball. Then fast forward to this year and struggling is an understatement. Pretty much the same team on offense, same coaches, same system. It can make one scratch their head. But in the NFL teams learn quickly and an offense that caught many by surprise last season has not grown but regressed and it's predictability has giving the rest of the league the ability to easily shut it down. We're not talking an offense devoid of talent, we have an average offensive to good offensive line, we have a great all purpose back, we have plenty of talent at WR/TE. We have weapons, but like a loaded gun in the hands of an idiot often leads to self inflicted wounds. That is what we have here. Being held back by an unimaginative offense and a QB with an affinity for turnovers and brain farts. We have a defense that we spent money trying to "fix" in free agency that is so broke I don't see how you fix it. It is embarrassing I have very little desire to watch any more bears football outside of the effect it has on my fantasy team since I have Forte and this week currently have the vikings D. And may just pick up whatever D is playing the bears that weak and their offensive players. How ironic that my attitude towards my Bears, now matches that of it's 126 mil dollar mistake of a QB…. don't care...
  2. Thing is this offense looks like there is no real plan. Trestman on sideline the deciding on the play to run 2nd and forever "should we run it? *shakes magic 8 ball* Yes "lets do that thing where we hand it off to the guy next to the QB"
  3. should have kept McCown and cut Jay. McCown isn't a franchise QB but he sure as heck fit what our Offense is designed to do, clearly Jay doesn't fit any offense what a 126 million dollar f up.
  4. They don't even deserve the C on their helmets or the GHS on their sleeves. They are an absolute embarrassment to this once proud franchise. This team has taken a huge steaming crap on the Bears history and its fans. Gents we deserve better than this.
  5. and the classless packers continuing to throw for the end zone I'm friggin embarrassed for the city of Chicago and us Bears fans. Most points given up in a half for any Bears team ever. We are stacking up the negative records this year. It makes it sting more that the packers are laughing it up and purposely running up the score. They have no class, or sportsmanship I hope their friggin stadium burns. Everyone on this team barring a few players should be fired right here and now. forfit the rest of the season… no one's gonna watch this team anymore anyway.
  6. Close matchup this week I'm the #2 team and I'm facing the #1 team. 10 team PPR I like my lineup except I'm struggling over the WR 2 spot. I have too many good backs to sit one to play both Becham and Smith. Smith's really dropped in production lately but has a good matchup, Beckham has benefited from the Cruz injury but has a tough matchup. A third option I could drop maybe McKinnon and pick up Crabtree or Devante Adams. Ideally with RB's coming out my arse I'm trying to trade some of that depth for a solid WR2. and possibly another TE since Olson's kinda struggled lately too. My starters are: QB Matt Stafford vs Fish RB1 Matt Forte @ Packers RB2 Andre Ellington vs Rams WR1 Jordy Nelson vs Bears WR2 O. Beckham @ seachickens Flex LeSean McCoy vs Panthers TE Greg Olsen @ Eagles K Chandler Catanzaro vs Rams D/ST Cards vs Rams Bench Justin Forsett vs titans Steve Smith vs Titans Tom Brady Bye Ryan Matthews Bye Jerick McKinnon Bye DeAndre Hopkins Bye
  7. Very stupid. He clearly didn't learn from the Lions player who did the same thing. When you are getting your arse handed to you on a silver plate, and you finally make a play you have no right to celebrate. No one on this team earned the right to celebrate anything today.
  8. and each other there is no consistency, no heart, no effort, not pride. This is the most gutless "effort" i've watched in a long time. Does anyone there still care????
  9. then the "fumble" where he was in the grasp and they don't blow the whistle should have been in the grass but who the hell cares this team doesn't qualify for the term suck.
  10. might take a nap instead of watch the second half. What a gutless effort today. So much talent and we play like shit. As I type that nearly another pick. 4th down again…. punt coming up.. if we go in to halftime down 21 - 0 you can pretty much stick a fork in this turd of a team. Sick of watching this crap. same crap different year.
  11. not lookin good Gents, already down 7 and outside the first drive we have not been able to stop their offense. One or two good plays here and there then we give up an easy chunk of yards for an easy first down. On offense I'm not sure what the plan is. And that "fumble" backwards pass wasn't backwards it was an incomplete pass not a fumble. Gotta wake up here and start playing ball.
  12. I had the chargers D too an the Giant's kicker who got me 0 lol But the rest of my team went into beast mode. My once struggling team is now killing it after some clever and savvy trades. I also picked up Brady Sunday morning to sub in for Stafford. Backfield of Forte, McCoy, and Ellington, with Jordy Nelson, and Steve Smith at WR and Gregg Olsen at TE.
  13. The Fumbles probably made the gag reel
  14. Tends to happen with age, mind is willing but the body starts to fail you. Just ask Brian. If he suits up maybe we can put him back on the trainers table.
  15. Created a MEME of this this morning lol
  16. Truly a good start, and here's hoping he turns out to be a great one! The timing couldn't be better as sadly we've lost Tillman for the season. Possibly the last time Tillman suits up for the Bears. We could sure use a guy to step up take over. Like Tillman Kyle also seems to be a stand up guy on and off the field. He's going to have to grwo up fast, but I really like that he plays with no fear and with good instinct.
  17. what a gutsy comeback. We had everything going against us. Never gave up. Man Fuller could turn out be a great pick
  18. too bad it took the bears so long to wake up and play ball Got a bad feeling they are going to drive right down and score
  19. sick of watching teams pick us apart easily then watch our guys struggle to get open
  20. Sure dues feel like 40-7 or worse. We are getting no movement on the offensive line no holes, Forte's getting hit as soon as he gets the ball. Passing has been eratic. Jay's not on target. What also sucks for us is earlier the Packers get a break via a bad call that helped them win today. A winning TD called off because of a phantom Timeout that no player or the head coach called.
  21. lots of key botched calls, the running into the punter not called on the blocked punt. the no call on the delay of game that instead goes for a TD the Bennet call the nit picky calls being called on the bears vs letting the 9ers get away with about anything. Not saying the refs are the reason we're losing. We are playing like crap, we don't need the added dissadvantage of the refs favoring the 9ers.
  22. the officiating is as atrocious as the Bears. The 49ers don't need the zebra's help. That was a hell of a catch by Marshall. I feel like that guy should have been ejected for launching himself into Jay's ribs. that was 100% dirty
  23. I think we have to be realistic here, last season we were atrocious. Yes we had tons of injuries and that played a big part but the fact is this defense's core got old, the guy's from the core of the Dominant D we enjoyed for many years is at it's end. Urlacher's retirement, Tillman likely on his last year here and is close to retirement himself. Briggs is getting old. It happens, we've tried to milk all the remaining potential out of the older core guys and now the D is in a rebuilding stage. And rebuilding a D can't realistically be expected to be completed in one season or one offseason. We made a lot of moves in the offseason and in the draft to shore up the D starting at the line. It is going to take time to find the right pieces to the puzzle. I don't think we can really know how the D will look when the games start counting. I for one will try to suspend judgement till I we see the season progress. I think we have to put the dominant D of the recent past, the window of taking advantage of that D is pretty much closed. It's time to move on and build a new defense with a younger core. It may take a couple seasons to for the D to return to a level we have become accustomed to. This year I don't expect great, I don't even expect above average, I want to see an average D. If we're 4 or 5 games into the season and look no better than last year then I feel ike that is on Tucker, because there is too much talent on the Defense individually to be as bad as we were last year.
  24. I'm high on Ellington too, so I like my 1 and 2 RB but behind them I'm weak. Hindsight's 20/20, I perhaps should have gotten one more RB higher up rather than a WR. my first 5 picks netted me Forte, Ellington, Stafford, Nelson, and V. Jax. I didn't take another RB till round 10 which was a mistake as there were better options on the board than F. Jax that I passed on. I will propose the Tate for Colston trade after week one's matchup, I'm playing the guy who has Tate and he's very weak at WR, no sense in helping him out against me lol. if Colston has a strong game against Atlanta that only helps me. And I do agree with Adam on the Colston for Tate, I have seen the QB/WR tandom work and do well but I've also seen it fail you have about a 50/50 shot of it actually paying off while I do feel it could in this case since Megatron will draw a lot of attention giving Tate favorable coverage. Stafford like Cutler tends to look for his guy, in Megatron like Jay seems to look for Marshall. Perhaps I can use Colston to get Ben Tate, and use another player to trade for Golden. I would probably use Golden as an RB3 in a matchup very favorable for Detroit.
  25. 10 team PPR draft We start 1QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex (RB/WR/TE), 1 Def/st, 1 K QB - Stafford RB - Forte, Ellington, Fred Jackson, Terrance West WR - Jordy Nelson, Vincent Jackson, Marques Colston, Torrey Smith, Wes Welker, DeAndre Hopkins TE - Jordan Reed, Zach Ertz D/ST - Cardinals K - Mason Crosby I like my team overall I do feel my weakest spot is RB but it seemed like when I would pick there was better value at WR and I'd already gotten my top two RB's an like the upside potential of West and Fred Jackson just keeps outperforming Spiller. Som trades I'm considering: Colston for Ben Tate would give me both backs should Tate stay healthy. Colston for Golden Tate, I like the idea of having Tate who has lots of upside on the same team as my QB Also on a side note forgive me if this shouldn't be posted in the main board, but the other boards have virtually no activity. I've wondered if we shouldn't have a separate board on this forum strictly to talk fantasy football. start sit talk, trade talk, etc.
