f you go by PFF , Leno is in the middle rating, and the money wasnt great, but against SF, he totally sucked. I would be happy if we just drafted all O lineman and WRs in the draft and rolled the dice. Free agent WRs have several good players so we wont need to do that, but both of those positions are critical to advancing MT as a future franchise QB.

The Oline is weak in FAgency and it is a must for us to move forward with any kind of offense, so we have to draft 2 OTs . One thing we overlooked this year is we had a new Oline coach and I think when we turn over the coaching staff, that is a priority. I think we can attribute Whitehair taking a step back from more than just being a moving part. Next year I think we bring back Sitton, Whitehair takes a step forward and hopefully Long now has time to be healed, we will have our inside strength of the Oline back in shape. Remember we have Kush on IR as well as Morgan gaining strength so we will have a solid 5 inside. The OTs is another story, Leno is very average and on some days sucks. I think we draft a stud OT and if possible get two in the draft. If not, then at least have the stud play RT for one year until we get in the area where Leno can be released in two years and groom a guy to play RT. In 2019 Leno's cap hit will be down to 2.7 mil. There are many good WRs in FAgency so sign two , get Inman and Meredith back, then draft a WR in the first couple of rounds. That takes care of helping TRubisky to go with a good running game. I hope the hell our new OC realizes that Howard is a power runner and quit the running outside crap.
-
It's really is hard to judge this team when the last two years 1/2 of the starters went on IR, let alone many prime time players playing one week and out the next week. We you completely remake the roster, its the depth that ends up killing you. With one more draft and some luck with the injuries, I think we can be a contending team for at least a winning record.

Landry will be expensive but he has a track record of catching footballs. Its a hard sell on Mathews with so much under production. Why would a up and coming team PHI was a young QB get rid of a good WR? There must be a reason they didnt want him. He stats look like Cam Merideth. ( He will be signed cheaper)

Since this year is trash, time to look forward. I think we need to pick up 2 WRs in FAgency from a pretty good group and then draft one or two in the draft. In the draft we are going to get a top 5 pick so we should be able to move back and grab a couple of extra picks from someone looking for a QB.(Giants, Broncos, Cardinals, Jets, Dolphins,Chargers, Bills) Buffalo has two first round picks and two second round picks , so for sake of this article, we trade our (projected 1-4 pick) to Buffalo for (projected 1-15 and 1-20 plus 2- 51 picks) So in the draft we have 2 1sts, and 2- 2nds, with those picks in the first round we get a OT and OLB, in the second round we pick a WR and either another OT or CB. So potential 2nd rounders are Equanimeous St. Brown 6-5 203 Notre Dame RSO Courtland Sutton 6-4 216 Southern Methodist Auden Tate 6-5 225 Florida State JR James Washington 6-0 205 Oklahoma State SR Dante Pettis 6-1 195 Washington SR Simmie Cobbs 6-4 220 Indiana JR Parris Campbell 6-1 208 Ohio State JR for sake of Argument, I take Sutton. In FAgency Jaron Brown WR ARI John Brown WR ARI Andre Roberts WR ATL Taylor Gabriel WR ATL Chris Matthews WR BAL RFA Mike Campanaro WR BAL Mike Wallace WR BAL Option Brandon Tate WR BUF Jeremy Butler WR BUF Joe Webb WR BUF Jordan Matthews WR BUF Kaelin Clay WR BUF RFA Walt Powell WR BUF RFA Charles Johnson WR CAR Cameron Meredith WR CHI RFA Deonte Thompson WR CHI Josh Bellamy WR CHI RFA Kendall Wright WR CHI Tre McBride WR CHI RFA Josh Gordon WR CLE RFA Brice Butler WR DAL Bennie Fowler WR DEN RFA Cody Latimer WR DEN Dontez Ford WR DET Jared Abbrederis WR DET T.J. Jones WR DET RFA Davante Adams WR GB Jeff Janis WR GB Bruce Ellington WR HOU Chris Thompson WR HOU Devin Lucien WR IND Donte Moncrief WR IND Kamar Aiken WR IND Quan Bray WR IND RFA Allen Robinson WR JAX Marqise Lee WR JAX Tyler Gaffney WR JAX RFA Albert Wilson WR KC Dontrelle Inman WR LAC Isaiah Burse WR LAC RFA Tyrell Williams WR LAC RFA Bradley Marquez WR LAR RFA Sammy Watkins WR LAR Jarvis Landry WR MIA Michael Floyd WR MIN Danny Amendola WR NE Matt Slater WR NE Brandon Coleman WR NO RFA Corey Fuller WR NO Willie Snead WR NO RFA Kevin Norwood WR NYG RFA Jeremy Kerley WR NYJ Quincy Enunwa WR NYJ RFA Eli Rogers WR PIT RFA Justin Hunter WR PIT Paul Richardson WR SEA Adam Humphries WR TB RFA Eric Decker WR TEN Harry Douglas WR TEN Brian Quick WR WAS Ryan Grant WR WAS Terrelle Pryor WR WAS We resign Inman and Merideth sign Jarvis Landry and John Brown(speed guy) So for next year we have: Inman Merideth Landry Brown Sutton for the last spot we give to Kevin White or Tanner Gentry ITS YOUR TURN

Wow , in the 19000, that's impressive. We are never going to have that many trades in a realistic draft so lets limit it to two trades to keep it real. my shot at it Round 1 Pick 11 (LAC): Mike McGlinchey, OT, Notre Dame (B-) Round 2 Pick 6: Courtland Sutton, WR, Southern Methodist (A) Round 2 Pick 11 (LAC): Carlton Davis, CB, Auburn (A) Round 3 Pick 11 (LAC): Tyrell Crosby, OT, Oregon © Round 4 Pick 6: Chad Thomas, DE, Miami (FL) ( Round 4 Pick 13: Auden Tate, WR, Florida State (C+) Round 5 Pick 6: Trevon Young, OLB, Louisville (D+) Round 6 Pick 6: DCota Dixon, SS, Wisconsin (C+) Round 7 Pick 6: Aidan Schneider, K, Oregon (A) What I did was use GNB 's top 100 instead of how FirstPick rated them, ( I like their site) I only made one trade a 1-11, 2-11, 3-11 for my 1-6. the players rating by top 100 first pick was ranked 7th best player second pick was 17 th pick 3 was 12th pick 4 was 53 rd the rest were need picks in Individual rankings for position pick 5 was 18th ranked DE but will be OLB pick 6 was 5th ranked WR pick 7 was 14th ranked OLB pick 8 13th ranked S pick 9 was a K, forget the rankings

Pace deserves some of the blame, its not all coaching and the injury issues. The most important thing he will do is make a hire, and then he goes on the clock that Fox is on now. I give him a c-, I understand the QB think this year, loading up on two, rolling the dice, the thing I didnt like was the moving one spot when he would have been there, loose balls. The draft is a mixed bag, but next year will reveal itself. The FAgency has had more fails than wins but it is not terrible. So his hire this year will be the biggest thing since we drafted a potential future QB (this year) It will either come together or fall apart, but at least he will own it, give him that.
-
The middle of the field was open all day. Might as well shoot for the moon and get a top 3 pick and trade back as someone wants a QB.
-
That would be a great draft, what gets me about this site, you only have one grade below a B and you get a C+ average. I dont get how they rate the system.
-
Look at the great Dak Prescott, last year with a great RB, great OL, he did well, this year they lose EE and he doesnt look so good. Most good QBs have a really good defense and a very good running game, its a whole team upgrade that puts the QB into a good position to succeed.
-
IF we get a top 5 pick, I would say that should be the choice, but it is possible that we win 3 of the last 5 games and I think that would drop us out of the top of the draft and may make that difficult.
-
Never has shined as a WR but does have the speed.
-
I think Inman and Merideth stay and we add two by FAgency and a draft pick, middle rounder.

Rumor: Pace has list of candidates for next year

It is just speculation, look how secretive Pace is with the draft, I think they may have some thoughts but nothing legitimate. -
Rumor: Pace has list of candidates for next year

This is just a list a reporter put together over speculation, any good GM always keeps a list of potential coaches , but no one knows but Pace who he likes or doesnt like. -
now you guys have me doing this everyday. I pretended I was Jason and drafted 2 OTs first. Your score is: 16095 (GRADE: B-) Your Picks: Round 1 Pick 14 (MIA): Connor Williams, OT, Texas (A-) Round 2 Pick 1 (CLE): Mike McGlinchey, OT, Notre Dame ( Round 2 Pick 6: Ronnie Harrison, SS, Alabama (A-) Round 2 Pick 19 (G.B.): Parris Campbell, WR, Ohio State ( Round 3 Pick 19 (G.B.): Chad Thomas, DE, Miami (FL) (C+) Round 4 Pick 6: Quenton Meeks, CB, Stanford (A+) Round 4 Pick 10: Auden Tate, WR, Florida State (C+) Round 5 Pick 6: Daniel Carlson, K, Auburn (A+) Round 6 Pick 6: Porter Gustin, OLB, Southern California (A) Round 7 Pick 6: Nyles Morgan, ILB, Notre Dame (C+)

I think his speed is in question as a press corner, but is more fitting as a FS. I think there is nothing set in stone at the S positions and we need depth there anyways so where ever he lands its all fine.

We think the season is going to be inspiring for our future and we end up with diarrhea. Its sad but we cant wallow around in misery so here we go. upside: We think we may have a franchise type QB so the most important activity in the off season is to find a QB friendly coach. Pay attention to PHIL and LA and you may see our future. The Oline next year needs a stud OT added by the draft. You only find them in the first round. Lets say Leno plays LT next year then Sitton-Long- Whitehair stay healthy for a change. We need a guy that can play RT for a year or two and then be our LT for the future. Next year Kush and Morgan will be backing up the middle so the OLine should have a healthier outlook. We need a potential #1 WR, you can find them in the draft outside of the first round, but we need to add one by draft and 2 by FAgency. Many to choose from there. Inmam and Merideth will be a start but need much more. We are set at RB with Howard, Cohen and Cunningham, done. At TE we have Sims and Shaheen going forward so I think that will be a decent start. We need a OLB to complement Floyd who looks like he may be a good one. Being we need a OT either 1st or second round and a OLB with the other pick. Since we will have a high pick hopefully can trade back and get them later in the first round. I think the Dline will be good with Hicks, Goldman, Bullard, RRH with Unrein thrown in. I think we need to add in the D backfield, Amos and Jackson could be a good duo going forward but are not there yet. We need to add a CB any way we can get one. We have some building blocks but bringing in a solid coaching choose is a priority and then we live or die with Tribisky.

I have no reason, but when everything looks like doom, they jump up and beat someone.

Here is one I could do with trades, I like it better. Round 1 Pick 12 (NYJ): Austin Bryant, DE, Clemson (A) Round 2 Pick 6: Mike McGlinchey, OT, Notre Dame (A) Round 2 Pick 12 (NYJ): Courtland Sutton, WR, Southern Methodist (A) Round 2 Pick 24 (NYJ): Anthony Averett, CB, Alabama (A-) Round 4 Pick 10: David Sills, WR, West Virginia (A+) Round 4 Pick 20 (ATL): Brandon Facyson, CB, Virginia Tech (A+) Round 4 Pick 29 (N.E.): Chad Thomas, DE, Miami (FL) (B+) Round 5 Pick 6: Daniel Carlson, K, Auburn (A+) Round 6 Pick 6: David Bright, OT, Stanford (A) Round 7 Pick 6: Cole Reyes, SS, North Dakota (B-) Round 7 Pick 7 (CAR): Cody OConnell, OG, Washington State (A)

he hasnt had a good season for the last 3 years, not worthy of a big contract.

Leno wont be replaced this year, his play has been okay, but we have to replace RT. Next year we need to address OLB, RT and then WR in that order. In FAgency there are a bevy of WRs, so I think we sign someone like Jarvis, Adams, and find a speed guy. I dont see much at RT in free agency, so we have to make that a priority. There isnt much in free agency at OLB either, so that has to be addressed in the draft. I have yet to view the draftees closely but here is a shot with what i know now 6: R1P6 EDGE BRADLEY CHUBB NORTH CAROLINA STATE 38: R2P6 WR CALVIN RIDLEY ALABAMA 108: R4P6 OT CASEY TUCKER STANFORD 109: R4P7 CB QUENTON MEEKS STANFORD 144: R5P6 OT ALEX CAPPA HUMBOLDT STATE 185: R6P6 EDGE LORENZO CARTER GEORGIA

I would like to add, the problem with this team no matter who you want to blame for it, injuries has derailed the potential to be a better team. When we have our starting 5 on the Oline we actually have some reliable positive offensive plays. IF the front 7 is getting pressure, the back of the defense looks pretty good. We have some building blocks, ignore how we got them, but going forward, Goldman, Hicks, Floyd, Bullard, Kwiat, Trevathan, Amos, Jackson, Callahan on defense. On offense Howard, Cohen, Whitehair, Trubisky, Shaheen, Long and Meredith. Where the problem comes in is anytime we dont have most of them on the field our odds at winning is in doubt. We have so little margin for error. Then add the pitfalls of having Fox as head coach and what we have is just like yesterday, a close loss. At this point I would have to give Pace a C-. As much I see a core being established, I then have to watch Barth kick, Grasu still on the roster, resigning Leno to a new contact, and Glennon on the bench. I totally believe we needed to give this team an extra year to develop because the shape of the roster was the worst in the league when they took over. This is the year we at least needed to rise to a 8-8 record or even better. Its apparent its not going to happen, probably more to injuries than the ineptness of the coaching staff. You add it all up , we have as many questions as we do answers. I think when Fox became available the powers that be suggested Pace take him because of his lack of experience at the GM position, so this is what we have. I think with a new coach handpicked by Pace, and the futher progess of Trubisky, we can see the sun rising in the distance, it just seems pretty dark right now.

I think what were seeing is him having to do reads and it slows his timing on passes. In the preseason, they just made everything simple for him, quick one read, run or hit outlet pass. Now he is trying to absorb the offensive reads and defensive reads and its slowing him down. He is will eventually get it. I hate to say it, but when they said he needed this year to sit and learn, they were probably right., Although, overall, he probably speeds the learning curve up with playing.
