    Moving on

We played a lousy game Sunday and with NO coming up, keep in mind. NO has played 3 games at home. There only road game they had trouble beating a lousy team, TB 16-14 There strengths are our weaknesses, Graham and Sporles, but keep in mind we have Kromer on our team now. I think Kromer will give us insight that will help greatly. NO have never played well in Chicago. There are coming off a short week. Teams have been able to run the ball against them, we need to pound the ball and hold the clock. Graham will get his catches but the key to this game is stop Sproles and we will be in good shape. Im an optimist, (what did the optimist say when he jumped off the building? So far so good.) 28-24 take it to the bank. Bears win.
  3. There are some good things that showed up: Peppers is playing better Jefferys is capable of being our #2 WR We showed we still have an offense that can make plays. We kept the best WR in football in check Gould is gold The bad: Interior defense is weak Red zone offense not scoring TDs Paea to 3T and Collins at NT Tillman still hurting the ugly: Cutler being bad Cutler 3rd down efficiency poor tackling ST breakdowns Conclusion: We are a work in progress. I dont think the defense is capable of being great but can still make plays. I think the offense will win some games for us and lose some, we are a flawed team, as many teams are in the NFL. If we can cut down on our turnovers we can compete on offense with anybody but Denver in the NFL. I thought we would be a 10-6 team at the start of the season and make the playoffs. I still think we are in good position to make those goals.
  4. I think part of the problem we had yesterday was moving Paea to 3 tech, and moving Collins to nose tackle. It changed two positions, where as Paea was playing well, now he got put in a position he didnt play well at. We need to leave him at NT and play with the 3 tech position. We weaken two positions instead of just the one.
  5. Cutler played like shit today, relax and don't panic. He was responsable for our three victories and this loss. I will take 3 out of 4 any season. Our poor tackling and poor ST play bothers me more than a lousey game by Cutler. Im intrested in the full season outlook not one bad game. Some of you guys are drama queens, feast or famine. It's NFL football, good teams lose somrtimes, I like the potential of the offense. If any of you guys were asked if we could pick a 3 and 1 record in our first 4 games at the start of the season you would have been elated. RELAX
  6. The thing is if one guy gets in the others head and causes some penalties , will be interesting to see how this turns out. We thought Geno Adkins would be a load and he handled that well. Will be fun to watch.
  7. Just something to talk about will never happen.
  8. As every game, I find this one to be difficult. I think Lions will have there way with our defense, the question is can we keep up with the scoring on offense. Again it will come down to turnovers. Hopefull but not confident.
  9. I am not sure where that is but have a link to (How to make a woman orgasm every time and beg for more) if your interested
  10. Wright's not great, but isnt terrible either. I think if we can resign at a favorable contract, we will stick with him.
  11. Im as big a draftnik as anybody on here, just hasnt crossed my mind this early.
  12. DTs are in short supply, I dont see anybody trading anybody of valve during the season except maybe Cleve, what do they have? They seem to be willing to get rid of anybody.
  13. Wow, were 3-0 and we're talking about the draft?
  14. On Spotrac they list his cap hit as his full salary for the next two years as 18+ and 20+. They keep moving money out to the end of his contract to relieve the cap the last few years. It is full salary as a cap hit. It aint happening, he will be here until his contact is gone. You might as well have him here if you have to play him and get what you can out of him. It will cost his money and plus the other players money to replace him and that aint happening.
  15. We redid his contract again this year, we are on the hook for his full salary if we cut him next year.
  16. Right now I think the only two teams we wouldnt win with is Denver and Seattle, but the next few weeks will define better which teams are good and just so so .
  17. I think our defense line will show improvement going forward, it is the same group that played well last year. As far as Melton goes, that could be a problem, but I actually think Collins was more effective than Melton has been playing. Going forward I would expect Melton to get back to form which wont happen now. I think our defense will not be great, but if we get some big plays every game, cant expect more than that.
  18. I think we are a work in progress, we are only scratching the surface of what our offense can be. We need work but have flashers, and we are doing enough to win games. Defensively I think we are about what we will be, give up a lot of yards and make some big plays. Every week is not going to go well for us, but who on here actually thought we would be 12-4 or 13-3, I never did. I still think we will be around 10-6 which would mean we go 7-6 the rest of the games. If we continue to improve, we may do better than that, but we will have to see when we play better teams if the magic continues. The key is we are making progress. Our offense have looked really good at times and mediocre other times. The great think is it has produced when we needed to to win games, and that is huge.
  19. We are a long way away from being a elite team, but 3-0 is a good start. We can find plenty to scratch our head with, but we have things to smile about too. Cutler looks clutch/ Looks like we have a plan when crunch time pops up. The defense gave more pressure, Peppers is starting to show up. What I see is progress, we adjust to adjustments and have come out on top. If we want to look at imperfection, we have plenty to look at but we are doing this while we are winning games. I think that is huge. Ask GB and SF about what looked bad. What I like is we are headed in the right direction, as sloppy as that might look, we are still 3-0, I cant tear this apart. When we find our first loss, I am not sure I will be able to hang around to hear all of the soothsayers. May I suggest to enjoy what we have, it is so hard to consistently win in the NFL, lets find a little joy in winning on the road to a desperate team.
  20. cant get anything by you,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,any hot women in your neck of the woods?
  21. Im not sure where the Bears started the season but our odds of winning the Super Bowl are 20 to 1. Looking at the odds? KC is 33-1,Houston 12-1, Denver 4-1 I think with Clady being out for the season, Denver has dropped a little with there expectations. We will see how they do against some of there tougher opponents, any more key injuries and they might not make it. I suppose you can say that about any good team thou.

    TRich Trade

I found a spot that stated they had 7 picks in the first 4 rounds, but it didnt break it down to the specific rounds. They need to draft two studs out of the first 3 picks to make all that they do worth while. We may be in there position in the very near future if the Cutler experiment falls apart, but Im not sure we can fall as far as the Browns will fall this year.
  23. I think more time helps Cutty but I dont think we can dismiss the fact he got married and had a child that has grounded him, and I guess to say matured him. I think it has affected his attitude about life and therefore affected his appoach to football. Not the whiney little bitch he is capable of being. He is the key to this season. If he makes the right decisions on the football field, most of the time, we will be successful. Also it is a contract year, and I always think that has an affect on pro athletes.
  24. Of course we can win this game, it just absolutely will not be easy. I think the key to the game will be turnovers. If we have the plus side of it, we will win, if not a potential lose. We need to score early and keep Pitt on its heels, be balanced and keep the long scoring plays from happening. If we make them go with long drives to score and limit them to FGs, we win this game. Thank God they cant run, will help a lot.
