They will only dip in the Cutler contract at last resort. If they take any money out of there, it turns his contract into a 5 year deal once it happens. They structured it to allow to have no money owed after 3 years. I think the only way they do that is if they think they are one player away from a SB run and then they go for it. If Seattle does what they did last year with Arvil and Bennett they will offer a medium contract. Something like 1 year 5 or 2 year 11. I think our offer is for longer years, something like 3 year 17 mil. If he doesnt sign before monday with them or Dallas I see him coming back here.

Now we have Melton left to snag back, if he leaves Dallas without a contract, he will be back here.

I can see why you might be pessimistic about all we did. We are not the Broncos with a time limit for Peyton. They are going for it, we are not in that position yet. When we signed T. Jennings it didnt excite me, but he ended up being an all pro type. When we grabbed Slausson last year, didnt turn me on, turned out to be excellent move. What Im saying is until we see the finish product we cant really know how this will all shake out. First of all we have never been in this position before with so many players leaving at one time. With the big contract we gave Jay, it causes us to be cautious with all of all moves. The more days that pile up in FAgency the more likely they come back here. I would say they visit and leave they are not getting the offers there looking for and our offers is more favorable.

Beyond popular belief the rest of the FAgency will be valve choices. We had the one big one, so now we find people at our price. We made offers to Peanut and Melton but they think can get more money out there, so they are letting it play out. Now there could be a Cleamons(S) or an Allen(DE) still there but they will be at our price. It is not fun when we(fans) dont get a bunch of players to goggle over,but they addressed the biggest need, and will wait to let the rest fall in place. Slauson, D.J., Anderson last year didnt excite us, but they filled needs and now Slauson is a staple on the OLine. D.J. is coming back to give us time to find a MLB, or maybe Bostic grows into one. The rest wont be exciting, we just have to be patient to let it fall in place and then get some draft picks to goggle over .

Just read today that Revis was due a roster bonus of 1.5 mil if still on the roster today. Also that if not released they would have to give a 3rd instead of a 4th. Also after his knee injury in 2012, maybe he just isnt as good. Also they tried to get him to restructure his contract before they cut him. also they needed the money to sign McCown.
