  1. We both know the OLine sucked every since Cutler has been here, so rebuilding that is not change for sake of change.
  2. Now this is the epitaph of a slow period.
  3. This is a bad time of the year for me,as far as the Bears go, BUT they keep making moves that has keep my interest somewhat. We will look back as this year as a GOOD new beginning or a bunch of bad decisions. New coach New OL and OC No Urlacher New blood at LB Almost a new OL Some more weapons,a quality TE He is tweaking the roster big time New offensive scheme(again) Conclusion: We have rebuilt the OL(long overdue), got some new minds to actually give us a modern NFL offense, and continually remaking the roster. I think how this turns out will take more than a year to do a proper evaluation. I think the most important thing going forward is how well Trestman and Cutler get on the same page. We have a team that is close to making the playoffs, but if it doesnt work out with Cutler, it will all turn to shit. He is the key to how successful we do this year. He is at the end of his contract, so I think he will be motivated to succeed and Trestman will turn out to be a good NFL head coach. Points, we now have some more weapons to spread the offense around. Jeffery will start to excel, Bennett signing will be huge, and Forte will have a huge year. I think the OL will be a work in progress but will get better as the year goes on, and we slip into the playoffs with a 10-6 record. WHAT SAY YOU
  4. We have lot of questionable players for character on the team, I dont think that has anything to do with it. I think the fact they told him to cool it after the DUI and was out partying two days later, it just comes down to a control thing. He just wasnt making enough of an effort to stay clean, so they told him to (freak off). Just a power thing.
  5. I think although we are essentially playing the same defense, there will be some tweaks along the way. Kinda of hard to evaluate there moves until we see the NEW old defense. He is basically the same size as Paea and has experience so I think he will able to play either spot for us.
  6. So when do you start playing Rugby? Have no idea what kind of schedule that sport has. How is PFF going? Is that going ok for you? Glad to see you have a sense of humor, sometime that is in question.
  7. I dont think what we do on defense on any barring on letting Urlacher walk, his time had come. The fact everyone else in the league thinks that too speaks volumes. If he had signed for the 2 mil, we would be at the end of the season, saying that we should have moved on because he cant stay on the field due to a bad body. I think he would have been a liability for the defense this year, and he did us a favor by being stubborn. We hung on to Cris Williams to long, it didnt matter that he was a first round pick, because he wasnt any good. What I like about Emery is he has a plan, and is following it and will live or die with it. I have no problem with that at all. He isnt making popular decisions based on the fans, he is doing what he think is right.
  8. I think they did the evaluation and that is why they made those choices. Your right about our RTs but I think they must like Mills, so they are taking chances going forward with him as to someone who doesnt want to be here. This all could be mistakes they are making, but we dont know that yet. It is choices they are making and they will keep or lose there jobs as these choices come to fruition. He wasnt the new decision makers first round pick ,they dont have emotional ties as we do. They have change the blocking schemes, and I dont think he fits into that mold that they are looking for, so he isnt here.
  9. Its Tavaris,at 5 am I am not up to my game speed yet, but everybody knew who I was talking about, so I guess no big deal.
  10. Kind of hard to criticize him until we see how all of this turns out, but at least he is not wishy washy like Jerry use to be. He drafts a guy last year and already has cut him, it would have took Jerry 4 years to do that.
  11. Finally a name we can identify with. Fills our DT rotation out.
  12. Travis Jackson/QB was released, should we be interested? I think he also would become our top backup if we picked him up. Also Vonte Leach is said to be going to be released today. The top rated blocking FB in the league last year.
  13. If we just ended up cutting him, his money ends up being dead cap money,he still has guarantees from his rookie deal. In trading him, his salary is just gone. Since we got rid of him we have now doubled our cap space. That will matter if someone is released that we want and now we have some money to play with. I used the wrong word when I stated that, we have new coaches and if would seem to be a good idea to get acclimated to the new coaches, new play book, new team mates, but nope , he is pissed because after watching tape on him, he got demoted. So now he is gone.
  14. If they had him pegged as a backup OG,I dont see this as a bad decision. There are new people doing the evaluations, and if they didnt like what they see, Im OK with that. He is said to have slow feet and obviously coped an attitude when not being a RT anymore, so what difference will it make. We have the questionable Webb, backup OT in Scott and the new project that could be better than all of them. J. Mills. I am for renewing the roster as soon as possible. If he looked bad on tape and aint following the rules, lets roll with new people. The problem is if we wait to see if he is better and then cut him, his money this year turns into dead cap space. We now have got rid of his salary and got a little something in return.
  15. Garza will definitely be starting with all the new faces, but hopefully someone develops so he can be gone next year.
  16. I would say he has to be better than the end of the WR bunch we have right now. Lets roll the dice and start throwing some 7's.
  17. Lets see what a creative mind has in store for the TEBOW.
  18. I cant say I completely agree with his decisions, but got to give him credit to have balls to do what he thinks is right. The report card is on the clock.
  19. He have some along the way, we will just have to wait to see which ones are plums.
  20. Rodriguez was released today, Carmi traded, the hits just keep on rolling.
  21. I have to admit , this blog would be boring in you werent on here, actually there are several on here that make this an interesting place to be.
  22. He may end up being able to play somewhere else but they didnt think he fit in here so got rid of him. If you look at his first few years in the NFL, he deserved to be gone, thats life in the fast lane.
  23. Where the problem came in is he had money on the table, if he was cut the money would just be dead money. Now were off the hook and get something out of it. As someone said on here before, drafting pre injured players has its draw backs. We just have to look forward and hope they get it all figured out. At least they have the balls to get rid of 1st round picks it they dont think there any good, instead of keeping him a few more years and just be done with him.
