that remains to be seen exactly what we will be doing with the Oline, I would assume a composite of all the minds involved.
-
When I mean by cheap is someone under 3 mil that could help us out. I want to throw out the first name; Brandon Moore-OG-Jets it is 33 and had a great year. I think he could be a Ruben Brown type that could help us for a couple of years. The Jets are 26 mil over the salary cap, so I think we can grab him here.

One last footnote on this subject until the truth comes forward. Teo was voted second least like sports figure in the country. So I guess other than ND fans, most people aint buying his line of crap.
-
It is quite simply look at his production, 0 zip. we dont need to pretend anything here. done, gone, new guy
-
The key to the OL is having some new bodies for more options if people fall short. All of those names are a good scenario, I just have major doubts about Webb, we have to bring in a LT somewhere to compete there. Andy is 6-2 302, not the ideal size to shift to LT. I prefer to spend the money on a LT in FAgency, there is talk KC drafts a LT with the first pick and Brandon Albert doenst want to move to guard, so he may want to be somewhere else. Also if KC gets a FA QB, they might not be able to spend big money to keep Albert there. We might be able to get him for 8 or 9?

They gave that away to Miami.
-
I have seen where the TE from Stanford, is starting to be taken higher in the mock drafts.
-
What did Lovie coach him to run slower? He has lost a step, confidence, and his decision making sucks. He needs to be gone, enough with people that cant play anymore, but we need to respect them because there were good once.
-
Then I guess were on the same page

If you look at good LTs saying Webb is average is quite lame. The reason he didnt get help is lousy LG play and the RT-Carmi was actually playing worst. Our Oline was rank 32nd and 30th the last two years, are we really saying any of the OLine was good, thats impossible. We need to replace everyone of them, and since in one offseason , that is near impossible I think we need to resign Louis, Scott, add two and I would prefer to 3 new lineman to compete for a job. It would be wonderful if Carmi, got good, and Webb actually became average, but we cant go another offseason with the same bodies. That is insane. Keep those guys add some new ones and let the best men win the job.

You may be right, we need new people everywhere. I think we cant wait for the draft and HOPE will get one of the top 3, no guarantee, one will be there and the drop off is great from that point on. I think if Louis recover quickly we bring him back, and resign Scott. We draft a OG and pick up a LT in FAgency. Webb may be back by default, but no matter how we paint it, it wasnt that good. Not being horrible is not a compliment.

If you look at history all KRers always start to go downhill around that age. He is what he is. He cant do it anymore, and dont have Lovie to protect him. He will be gone.
-
He improved this year, but he was still bad.
-
So you want to pay a backup WR 2.8 that cant return punts and kickoffs anymore. I think I will pass on that.
-
That means he might be gotten cheaper. If we can get him for 5 mill, much better for us.
-
If he is using the word (punk) so much Brian, maybe you need to use smaller words so he can understand you better.
-
I dont think because he is being paid less makes him better at blocking, I get your point. If we dont have the money, then he may be back there, but no matter how many people say he played better , he wasnt very good.
-
He wants a fresh start, not play offense. I am all for that some where else. But because he was good a few years ago we should keep him around and let him get us those 14 yards kick off returns. Screw that , let him go and find a rookie to move forward with.
-
So lets say we start Webb again at LT, now instead of being rated 30th in OL play we move up to 28th. Webb goes from a -.08 rating to a +1.3 rating. What do we do now give him another chance the following year because he got better? It is quite simple, the line wasnt good enough, we need new players, and have options when people arent any good.
-
Do you have the length of the National Anthem in your pojections, I need some prop bets.
-
Well now I have a GOOD reason to want 49ers to win. Maybe that will better your negitive attitude you inject on here frequently.
-
I think there is quite a bit of difference , I dont think there abitlities are close. We can look at this and have an opinion, I think the actions of Emery will determine, who is good and who isnt. The biggest thing for me, we literally did almost nothing to upgrade and got basically the same results. We need to inject two new OL and I prefer 3 to gain options if Webb, doesnt get better, Louis dont come back from injury, Carmi sucks again. I really dont care who it is but we need people that we at least perceive to be better. I prefer Clady-OT, Wallace-WR, and Bennett-TE but we that aint going to happen. So am just trying to be realistic with my expectations. Bushrod-is an upgrade, if we got Wheeler- will play better than Urlacher and be cheaper, Avery-WR cheaper and a speed guy. Maybe as you have stated we cant afford, but we will not fix all our needs with our first 3 draft choices. Your actually pretty sharp on these things, give me a realistic view of our fix. (please leave Webb off of that scenario.)
-
We only have enough money to buy one expensive FA and a couple of other additions. I still want the OL addressed first, and then maybe we have enough to get Wheeler-LB and maybe Avery-WR(speed guy) I would be stasified with that.
-
I am not sure that one comment makes a career when referring to Bushrod. I have read everything I can about him and although Pass Pro. is not his strong suit he is not terrrible at it. Last year at the begining of the year he played bad but as he got healthier he played better. I think he will be an upgrade. Webb improved, but to what extent? Now hes not terrible? I am not sure that is a complement.

I suppose I would like SF but there is reasons to not root for either. A good game will take all that away. I think defenses control the game today. Turn overs will determine the game, so I am saying SF 23-16.
