    Urlacher

I used those words, but having worked for Lovie has what negative effect on the football team? When the rest of the team there now also played for Lovie.
  2. I went back looking at all the posts about Urlacher leaving and if we use your logic of we can do a better job, do you realize the board would have voted to not have him back. They are only a few that have you near sightedness when it comes to his valve. You come up with some good posts sometimes but this bandwagon is a lonely one your on.
  3. You are insightful, I think if the right person is there for SF at 20, we can load up on some picks.
  4. I actually this morning started a new mock with a trade with SF, using Drafttex, as the tool, but figured this mock stuff would get old and deleted it. I had them trading 20 for 34,74,128 and 180 which works out on the trade chart. I had them taking; 34-Warford/OG Day one starter 50-Austin/WR Playmaker 74-Schwenke/OC Could start first year 117-Hodges/OLB Productive college player 128-Mathieu/CB PR/KR and could turn out to be our nickel back eventually 153-Geathers/DT I like him too 180-Matt Scott/QB I like him too 188-Blaize Foltz /OG someone else brought his name up before See we sometimes think a like.
  5. I think the opportunity arises to move down and grab extra picks. I believe the first couple picks will include a OL, they scout them better than we do, so I will pretend they know what there doing till they screw it up. Then I will become TT or Jason, and be all over them.
  6. Throw them all out there and lets play football. Emery is reshaping the team, and it is going to be an interesting ride. Time will tell if he will be successful or not, then we can bash him.
  7. Actually I only appear to be smart, Im not all that sharp.(just kidding) You seem to be reaching when you assume a bunch of idiots are running football teams, they make there living do that, not all are successful but the ones that they polled seem to be the smart ones, BECAUSE THEY SEE A GREAT PLAYER WHEN HE DOESNT HAVE IT ANYMORE, and dont want him.
  8. If SF is the only one to compete with I would say we have a good shot.
  9. The ST comment is completely true with your 4th and 5th WRs , they NEED to play ST
  10. Its no big deal, a depth player. I thought I read somewhere where he could play nickel back? It wont hurt having a homeboy around. At least he is a team leader, rah, rah guy, and has some starts in NFL.
  11. You make a good point, plus I do see them trading picks, a good solid roster will maybe have 5 or 6 stick with the team? A lot of trades coming for SF for now and future picks.
  12. These opinions are from people that run football teams. The teams didnt hire them from fans blogs, they actually do this for a living. You dont have to agree them , but there opinions way outclass both of ours.
  13. That all sounds like exactly what will happen. I think the possibility exists that we sign a older vet for a couple years until Brown is ready to start. Someone like Brandon Moore.
  14. Right now there signing 1 mil players. We paid him 2.5 last, so probably not going to happen.PLUS they got rid of 54, so I'm sure he wouldnt want to play here again.
  15. I looked at WF mock and Greene was gone at 50, Schwenke was gone at 95, not sure which draft you used for your scenario.
  16. He talked to Dan Patrick today and said his agent were doing all the negotiating and called him with details. He was cool in the interview, didnt sound angry or be grudging, just said he thinks they didnt want him anymore. He has never been in this place before in his career and didnt know what to expect.
  17. I would love that draft, just dont think all will be there when we pick. I realize you used there mock for an example.
  18. Quizzed by the Chicago Sun Times, 12-of-13 NFL executives agreed the Bears' one-year, $2 million offer to free agent Brian Urlacher was fair. It was more than fair. "He’s an aging guy who can’t run," said one NFC personnel exec. "Bold move — and the right move — by [bears GM Phil] Emery. Better to get rid of a player a year too early than a year too late." Another GM suggested the Bears "could have offered nothing." The one executive who disagreed believes the Bears should have offered up to $3 million because clubs "generally pay a premium to keep a beloved, homegrown player happy." The Urlacher camp's final offer was a one-year, $3.5 million deal. They may have rejected that, anyway.

    Urlacher

So your telling me, there going down a list and picking the trouble makers on the team and there plotting to get rid of them. You are way off base. It is simply, they dont think he is good enough anymore, and chose not to have him back.I can give you a webiste on (Conspiracy theory s) I can understand that you dont like it, but all this garbage for reasons of all this happening is lame.
  20. thank GOD your not running the Bears.
  21. They didnt want him back thats why it wasnt a negotiation, they made an offer and moved on, it is quite simple. The thing we need to realize (whether you agree or not agree) but Emery has a plan, in a few years we can judge how this all turns out. They brought up a offer to 54 and when he didnt take it, went to sign DJWilliams. Cheaper, will have a better year than 54 would have this year, and younger. An upgrade at a cheaper price. I like the thought that he is running this team and has a plan. Time will tell how it turns out. Lasts year draft still has question marks, but got us Marshall. Filled 3 spots in FAgency and we have to see what else he has planned. I like it so far. The SCORE had a beat writer on from Denver that said with the two off field issues , Denver thought about cutting him but keep him around because he is a good football player. They let him go because of his cost this year.
  22. This is a stop gap,he is only signed for one year. If he plays well, we may get another year out of him. He came out the same year Briggs did, but is one year younger. Like BB said, if we get a draft prospect or another FA, DJ can play all three positions. It is a cheap option, that could turn out to be an upgrade. He has had several good years in Denver.
  23. My right hand has numb fingers on it, so sometimes they hit the wrong keys, and I dont always proofread my posts, so you will notice my posts seem to have more mistakes than most on here. I just dont always proofread my stuff.

    Urlacher

Emery has been here for one year, and Trestman is new, they dont have those emotional ties to the last 13 years with Urlacher. They happen to be running the team, the family is out of it now, there are making football decisions for the betterment of the team.

    Urlacher

Its not my notion that he cant play anymore, the Bears and 31 other teams might think that, I dont see people knocking down his door to get him. I think he is still capable of playing, just not at a very high level. The notion that all the players left on the team are not going to play for Trestman, because they got rid of Urlacher, is quite hilarious. They actually will be pushing it , to prove there worth keeping around when its there turn to be shown the door. I am sure Pep at 16 mil, finds it hard to be motivated because 54 is gone. Tillman, and Briggs are both making over 7 mil this year. (Ill show the new coach, Im not going to play for you guys because they got rid of 54). Anybody thinking that kind of stuff will occur is quite simple minded. They play for a job, money, and teammates. I didnt see anybody laying down with Olin was shown the door.
