We wont know how all of his moves work out for a year or two, but I like the fact he has a plan and I hope it works out.

I guess the best way to look at it is he isnt here anymore, and good luck to him because he doesnt seem to be in high demand. Its probably a conspiracy but I will leave that up to Jason to figure that out.
  3. I didnt confuse anything, your statement wasnt pointed to (all star type players), but lets face it fringe players are looking for jobs and will take what they get, but the only big contracts we signed would have had any effect because Urlacher was being showed the door. Over all players go where the money is and where they might be able to win a ring. All those other little points mean very little. It matters to you, but last time I checked you dont play in the NFL.
  4. 20 is a little high, but most new mocks have him going in the first. A trade down but be ideal.
  5. no way that happens this year.
  6. Were paying these 6 about the same money that Urlacher wanted to play this year with his first offer to the Bears. They brought Scott back as the swing tackle, but as we know he might end up the starter. We up graded the TE position, and I think the LBer play will be better than last year if they both can stay on the field. They both had productive years with there respective teams.
  7. I am just trying to be a smart ass when I stated (why anybody would want to sign here), since some people on here made that type of statement.

Like one GM stated(it is better to let a player go one year early than one year to late.)

Your right there are a lot of reasons that figure into a reason to not resign a player, but the most obvious is they dont think he can play at a level well enough to pay him the money he wanted. The new regime doesnt have the emotional ties to a player that we had, and want to upgrade the position. So they choose not to have him here anymore. The fact is hes not here and time to move on.
  10. I dont see anybody giving Louis a big contract, he wont be ready to play until training camp and bet he cant pass a physical, which limits his desire for other teams.I think we offer him a one year deal to prove himself and try to gain a solid contract. The first round pick is quite open for anything but a QB,RB,TE. I like what we have going on here with Emery. ( the only thing I dont understand is why anybody would want to sign here after the way the team treated Urlacher)
  11. 99% of LBs are a dime a dozen? The board could make better choices than the regime running the Bears? Your a smart guy but you sure do come up with some stupid statements.
  12. The possiblity exists that the BPA could be a DT/DE by the way the board falls, it will be interesting.

The point is this is not the reason they didnt resign him. They based there decisions on what they thought he could do on the football field. If they thought he could play they would have offered more money made it important. You keep throwing reasons out there for why they didnt bring him back. Just accept the fact, he may never play in the NFL again and maybe its because of his age, performance, injury history.(not good enough) It is quite simple.
  14. He has a plan, and he just doesnt let the info out. Williams was on the ready line when 54 didnt take the offer. What this does is give us the ability to pick BPA with our draft.
  15. Unless one of the OGs are there at 20, I see us trading down for sure.
  16. I just took the original statement for what it was, your the one that keeps trying to make it out to be something more than it was. (they asking people until they get 12 opinions with what they want to hear) I clearing understand what your saying it just lacks commonsense sometimes.
  17. I think Brown ends up being a OLB, so I think Minter becomes the best of the MLBs in the draft.
  18. We have two starters, so both of them are looked at as depth and not a every week player. Hardin is a wild card and with our cap space we cant expect to sign great backups at this point. Spencer is not on our team, he is a UFA.
  19. I think past history shows us that when it comes to QB decisions teams make bad choices. Being that position is the most important in all of sports, I think it is possible.
  20. For sake of argument, since we dont who there are, they currently have jobs working for teams in the NFL, and I would say (no matter who there are) are in better position to make a football decision than were are. The fact there was 12 of 13 is the key to the article. Overwhelmingly there agree with the decision. Trying to nitpick on such an article because they dont agree with you is pretty lame.
  21. I see the safties on our team this year as Conti, Wright, Zbikowski, Stelz, Hardin, Nelson.
  22. I still think Idonije is still in the mix if he comes back at our price, and still drafts a prospect late in draft. If we dont sign anyone else in FAgency and a BPA scenario exists if we get extra picks, we could be drafting one in the 2nd or 3rd.
  23. Since Emery is suppose to be a draft guru and is willing to trade down. Here is a list of draft possibilities: ( Last years draft as of now doesnt look very good but I think he was handcuffed with Lovie in his ear) SF picks 31 34, 61 74, 93 128, 131c 157, 164 180 222, 237, 246c, 252c With there highest pick being 31 and having a solid roster to begin with I see them trading picks to get a higher quality pick going forward. I would say 20 for 34-74-128-180. That also works out on the draft trade chart. Buf 8 41 71 105 143 177 There is dire need of a QB and at #8 that is to high to grab one of them. So I think at 20 they could still get there choice. I would say 20 for 41-71-143 and a 4th round next year, gives us the draft chart balance. ARIZONA (7) 7 38 69 103 140 174, 176 They need a QB and I think #7 is too early for a prospect so they will be willing to move up to 20. I would say 20 for 38-69-174-176 and a 6th next year, according to the draft chart. MIAMI (11) 12 42, 54 77, 82 111 146, 166c 217, 224, 250c They have to replace a LT,CB, and LBs that they lost in FAgency, so I think they might want to move up to grab a need. I would say for 20 42-77-146-166-247 that is close to balance on trade chart. Of all these I think with all the picks SF seems to be the most likely to do the trade. One of the teams needing a QB could hopefully get in a bidding war and we may end up with more.
  24. He could be our KR/PR and possible to be our NB going forward.
  25. I think the only way we move Carmi to guard is if we resign Scott and dont sign Louis. Those transactions will tell what we do with Carmi. Also Miami has a lot of cap space yet and if Moore left there without a contract, it tells me Moore will want more than the minimum to play. It would be nice to bring him here but I dont think he signs for less than 2years-4 to 5 mil., which probably puts us out of the running. Most teams in the league would sign him for the vet min.
