I agree, and I think he will have better stats than Jennings, just do to the number of good wrs in GB.
-
Are you serious about the kid being 18 ? and a packer fan?
-
I think the offer on the table is about what you stated, and he doesnt want that. The deal is , unhappy or not, he will not leave 7.7 on the table and sit out. He then has to play well to get the tag next year, if might not be good relations but thats life. Making 16 mill in the next two years aint sucking hind tit.

I dont blame Forte for any angry, since we dont know the numbers, its hard to pick sides. I think the Bears are dropping the ball on this, and not finding a medium and get it done. If he wants 5 years 41 mil with 20 guarenteed, I pick the Bears .I think 17 guar., with a 4 year 32 gets it done. I think the last I heard we offered 14 guar. with a 5 y. 32 mil.

Here is a projection of our team from some idiot on Bleacher Report for 2012. Cutler- 56%-3024-18-28 his reasoning is Cutler just isnt a very good QB Forte-340/822-2tds-5 fumbles his reasoning that with him being unhappy will preform badly Bush- will be on IR because RBs that change teams get hurt Marshall-50-488-3 his reasoning is he will get in trouble and wont play a full season Jeffery-24-302-1td need to to develope Bennett-60-608-4 tds actually he is probably accurate with these numbers. The guys name is Bryce Jackson and I think he sounds like a GB high schooler that knows somebody on that website that let him write an article. He obviously has had some fat chick sitting on his head while watching the NFL the last few years and missed the games. If he lived in Illinois, I think he could be committed for being such an idiot.

His speed will always impress people, but that doent always translate on the field with success. He never gets double covered, but maybe playing the slot he will get a LB or SS covering him which will allow him to be more open. With our weakness as WR over the last few years, he never stood out, and in a package role, maybe will have some moments. With Marshall saying he will have a pro bowl year, is just a major reach.

(its a slow blog period) Does Wooten finally take a leap forward, or does he fade into possible of being dropped from the roster? I think that it exists he coulc be good this year and allow Idonije to move inside for rotation.
-
The Jags were 8th against the pass and only 25th in sacks, so the point I was trying to make deals with teams good against the pass, and they are very good at that. Dallas has a good pass rush and new CBs so I think they will be at the top of the Ds this year. We dont see a lot of GOOD defenses as long as GB and Det dont make drastic improvement on that side of the ball.

It's a slow time of the year just trying to post topics. I stated(a little thing )that just seems dumb, not team shattering.
-
With all the good things we did this off season, the little thing we didnt do that what have made our team more reliable seems dumb at this point. Okeye was signed for 700 th, and 600 in incentives, why didnt we just sign him and not had to worry about the DT position for one more year. He wasnt special but what he added in rotation made our team better as proposed to signing 4 guys to try to fill that position. He wasnt expensive or long term. The dumbest thing we didnt do in the off season other than adding a OT in the draft.
-
We have added to some areas where our team will be improved. WRs,RBs, special teams, and backups. What of our weaknesses are most important to be a lot better to show great improvement with our record. DBs, DL, and OL. I think for us to be a solid team we need the OL to take a giant step forward. Without the OL we wont be able to take advantage of the weapons we added.
-
I stand corrected, the later half of the first part of the schedule. I guess I should watch how I word everything, you seem to worry about every word.
-
If you look at last year and with what teams gained this offseason, who will be the tougher defensive battles on our schedule. I dont see anybody very good till we get to maybe Dallas, and Jacksonville in the middle of the season. The games 10 and 11 gives us some stiff tests with the Texans and 49ers two weeks in a row. The Seahawks in week 13. Unless the Pack and Lions defenses take a large step forward we have only maybe 5 teams that you would consider tough defensive teams we will face all year. With that I see Cutler and Marshall tourching the league this year with big numbers, barring injury.

As you compare them, Philly will be good this year, but arent as good as GB. I think NY and Detroit will have similar records, and as you stated, just made a great SB run. I think the Bears will be much better than Dallas,(I hate Dallas) Redskins will be improved but not much better than the Vikes.

Pro Football Weekly was rating the best divisions and the North had a slight edge over the NFC East. Hey its a slow topic time of the year. I agree with them, I think the Packers are the best team in football and Detroit and The Bears will have above 9 win seasons, so that should put them over the hump.

I am not angry, just dont understand it, and I can see you dont have an answer to that question. I do enjoy the humor.

I dont understand why Cutler and Marshall are blowing smoke up Hesters ass. He will just be a special play guy, not even going to be on the field 33% of offensive snaps, but everybody is lauding him. I dont get it. Marshall pretty well wont be leaving the field, Bennett and Jeffery will be the primary Wrs on the field and then Hester. We will see more two TE sets . Where is all the snaps for Hester. There is a reason he hasnt stood out as a WR since he got here, and I dont see him being special now. A PACKAGE PLAYER, sure he can get some plays, but dont see him geting more than 35 catches in his new row. What say you.
-
Down 30 lbs., he will never see a regular season game again. Tough luck, but a life is more important than playing football again, and his dream will slowly slip away.
-
He is making 3.3 mil, so what would he want for money. Last year he caught 75 passes for 765 and 2 TDs. I would say we could give that a shot.Spaeth is making 1.75, who would be worth more?
-
He had a major injury, and now is 38, along with his ego, and tool mentality , now a good combo for a job.
-
I play a lot of fantasy football and was only looking at it with stats. The only reason I listed Newton and Vick ahead of him was because of what they will contribute with the rush. As far as a pure Qb, It would be in my top 7.
-
With Jays new toys this year where do you think he falls in QB ranking at the end of the season? Most national rankings have him listed as around 14-15th ranked QB in the league. I think he makes it to the top 10 this year with around 30 TBs and 4300 yards. Ahead of him will be Rodgers,Brady,Brees,Stafford,E. Manning,Newton,Vick,. I think he falls in the same spots as Rivers,P. Manning, and Rothenbeger this year. P. Manning would be higher, but injuries will take him out of some games. Vick and Newton only rank higher because of their rushing TDs. If we were more of a passing team, he would be close to the top 5, but the run will still be high on the list for our offense.

Pompei has a informative article in the trib on this subject. He talked to an player agent and a team negotiator and both put a fair contract at 19.5 guart. and around 8 mil a year. I think from what we know of the Bears orgingal offer, just give him a 3 year deal at 24 mil with 17 guart. and be done with it. Although, I think Forte base is what everybody but the Bears think is a fair deal. Plus, he would want a 5 year deal.Other than team disruption, I have no problem with a two year F. tag and see him go away. He is creeping into the years where a RB makes a big drop off after 29 if you give him a long term deal.

I like his confidence, and he has a track record to prove he can play.
