IF-then who
I think there will be a run on OL in the first part of the draft, and a few QBs. SO I think these will be our choices for our pick; Te'o/LB overall ratings on two sites; 10th and 16th Ogletree/LB overall ratings on two sites; 12th and 29th Etrz/TE overall ratings on two sites; 24th and 32nd Cooper/OG overall ratings on two sites; 20th and 23rd so who do you take with that first pick? It we take the best player available it (I hate to say it) would have to be Te'o, if we go by greatest need Cooper/OG a starter caliber from day one. or the best TE in the draft(also a need) I would still take Cooper because the talent at OLine drops off quite a bit after him. I still then we could be a good TE or good LB in the second and 4th rounds.

PFFs Team Need Analysis
I think we need to resign Louis and Scott. If Carmi starts he will have to beat one of them out and then I guess that means he will be playing better.

PFFs Team Need Analysis
You keep referring to PFF as if that is Emery's bible. It is just one source of info that he composed to form his opinions.

Offseason mock
I like the bulk of this except for addressing the OG spot. your first OG is a fifth round pick and you didnt resign Louis. Also no TEs signed in FAgency or drafted any. A glaring lack of addressed in your scenario. I do think we need a speed WR.and Bailey is probably the best one out there. Also Cinn already has two 2nd round picks, not sure why they would trafe for another one.

We have work to do
Your pretty smart, so why would you bring up KNox? he will never play football again. at this stage of recovery he is having trouble walking, dont see football in his futute.

We have work to do
I agree with your list other than Urlacher,( unless we sign him real cheap) He will never make a full season unhurt again. Bad knees. We have to fill the roster and keeping our own back at reasonalble prices makes sense. Melton will be the only high paid player on that list. hopefully at around 6 mil.

Looking at who we signed
They all sound interesting but after checking them out. Onobun is just an athlete has never did anything college or NFL, Toliver is a career underachiever, and Nelson has potenial to make it as a backup.

Andy Levitre
After he evaluates them, we dont know if he will like them, I dont think he can create caviar out of crab, but we may be better than it looks to us right now.

Restructuring Contracts
who you refering to Bush?
-
franchise tag
I think he is a 6 mil a year guy, they wont franchise him for that money.

Cheap FAgents who could help
McKinney is a free agent this year. If he keeps his weight down, a serviceable pro who could help for a couple of years.

Restructuring Contracts
I have seen several different figures on our cap space. the latest one I seen published was 13.3 mi. I also seen where we can carry over cap money from last year of 3.2 mi.. Hopefully we dump Spaeth, Davis, Hester, which would give us another 5 mil, if I got the right information. That would add up to 21.5 million. Lets say we resign Louis, Roach, Melton. I would that would take around 9 mil. Gives us 12.5 to play with. I say we draft a LG and ILB. amd TE in our first 3 picks. Then in FAgency we sign a LT, WR. Say Albert(KC connection) or Bushrod(NO connection) and then D. Avery-WR(speed guy). I would say we can get all that done. OL New guy, Cooper or Warmack, Garza, Louis, Webb or Carmi. Other options resign Scott dont resign Louis and bring in Brandon Moore for RG. The more I read about Bushrod, the more I think that might not be a good idea. I want Albert.

Hester wants a fresh start
So were down to seeking out one play to tell us how good he is? His production sucked for the last 1 1/2 years. Look at game tape, not good, not good, ok, one good play, aint happening.

Andy Levitre
that remains to be seen exactly what we will be doing with the Oline, I would assume a composite of all the minds involved.
-
Cheap FAgents who could help
When I mean by cheap is someone under 3 mil that could help us out. I want to throw out the first name; Brandon Moore-OG-Jets it is 33 and had a great year. I think he could be a Ruben Brown type that could help us for a couple of years. The Jets are 26 mil over the salary cap, so I think we can grab him here.

Manti Te'o is a disgusting human being
One last footnote on this subject until the truth comes forward. Teo was voted second least like sports figure in the country. So I guess other than ND fans, most people aint buying his line of crap.

Hester wants a fresh start
It is quite simply look at his production, 0 zip. we dont need to pretend anything here. done, gone, new guy

The key to the OL is having some new bodies for more options if people fall short. All of those names are a good scenario, I just have major doubts about Webb, we have to bring in a LT somewhere to compete there. Andy is 6-2 302, not the ideal size to shift to LT. I prefer to spend the money on a LT in FAgency, there is talk KC drafts a LT with the first pick and Brandon Albert doenst want to move to guard, so he may want to be somewhere else. Also if KC gets a FA QB, they might not be able to spend big money to keep Albert there. We might be able to get him for 8 or 9?

Combine
They gave that away to Miami.

Combine
I have seen where the TE from Stanford, is starting to be taken higher in the mock drafts.

Hester wants a fresh start
What did Lovie coach him to run slower? He has lost a step, confidence, and his decision making sucks. He needs to be gone, enough with people that cant play anymore, but we need to respect them because there were good once.

Bears like Lane Johnson
Then I guess were on the same page

Bears like Lane Johnson
If you look at good LTs saying Webb is average is quite lame. The reason he didnt get help is lousy LG play and the RT-Carmi was actually playing worst. Our Oline was rank 32nd and 30th the last two years, are we really saying any of the OLine was good, thats impossible. We need to replace everyone of them, and since in one offseason , that is near impossible I think we need to resign Louis, Scott, add two and I would prefer to 3 new lineman to compete for a job. It would be wonderful if Carmi, got good, and Webb actually became average, but we cant go another offseason with the same bodies. That is insane. Keep those guys add some new ones and let the best men win the job.

Bears like Lane Johnson
You may be right, we need new people everywhere. I think we cant wait for the draft and HOPE will get one of the top 3, no guarantee, one will be there and the drop off is great from that point on. I think if Louis recover quickly we bring him back, and resign Scott. We draft a OG and pick up a LT in FAgency. Webb may be back by default, but no matter how we paint it, it wasnt that good. Not being horrible is not a compliment.

Hester wants a fresh start
If you look at history all KRers always start to go downhill around that age. He is what he is. He cant do it anymore, and dont have Lovie to protect him. He will be gone.
