  1. In the second round will still could probably get a starting LG and Armstead might need some time to develope.
  2. He is going to get a good payday, but think more in the range of Beatty's contract.

I just dont think we have the money for both even with some more cap dancing. We have the rookie, pool, other spots to fill, even at the mim. will add up.

I would love that draft. Cave would have to be developed but the other 3 would start for us.

I think Blanchard is the developmental QB and we pick up Chase Daniels the NO backup last year.
  6. I could lived with that, Armstead might not be there after great combine numbers.
  7. Smoking pot is no big deal, but getting caught, not so smart.
  8. Good teams dont get rid of good LTs, you know the money?
  9. Stinger226 replied to a post in a topic in Bearstalk
I think a quality LT is more important than a 6 sack DT. Grab a OG with the first round pick and then a DT with the 2nd. Resign Idonije for one year and were go to go.
  10. The poor guy, what luck just when he was about to become the 23rd best LT in the league and then this happens.

He is not going to be great or bad, he will eventually be a starter and have an average NFL career.

so whats your point? If he goes back up to 255 for his playing weight, he runs a 5.00? The combination of off field antics, bad national game, and poor athletic showing puts him in the second round and if he is there at 2 for us, we have to consider it. He will not be a star but will be a starter in the NFL. Probably a good comparison would be Ray Malaluga? Starter but doesnt shine at the next level.
  13. Someone is going to release a TE and we need one so put the two together and the Bears have interest. That is a tough rumor.

I was just jacking with twig to get a reaction, it will be in the second round. Then he is not even here.
  15. Stinger226 replied to Ed Hochuli 3:16's topic in Bearstalk
If anybody wants him, we should be able to get him in the 4th now. twig be here singing the praises of one Te'o greatness soon.
  16. When you have such glaring weaknesses on the line, you just simply cant address that position in the first round. He would be a good addition, but that aint happening. TE will be addressed before our 4 th WR position.
  17. We will be able to address that in any of our first 3 picks, and still have an upgrade.

I'm usually with your opinions, but your offbase with Carmi at LT, just because he played there in college. The pros is a faster game and certain characteristics fit better at different positions. He ain't a LT.
  19. I agree the better players we stick around him will make him look better. It is not that I dont want him to succeed, its just I dont think he has it in him. this year I recorded all the Bear games, and he just didnt look good to me.
  20. The only way Webb starts again is if we cant afford to bring in a replacement. Our offense will be different but you CANT let him have that spot without competition. Watch the tape on him and put those stats sites to a rest. He aint that good.
  21. I forgot Baker, but isnt Cherilus a RT?
  22. I m with you Boyce or Wheaton would fit just find.Stills-Okla or Sanders-South Car could be added to that list. Sanders didnt run well in the combine but will show more speed at his Pro Day.
  23. Odds of us signing a top type LT in FAgency is slim especially, if we try to resign Melton. SO here are our choices:(no particular order) Max Starks- older but maybe a stop gap for a year Wil Svitek- played well last year, older but maybe a stop gap for a year King Dunlap- a little younger and maybe can last 3 years (not great) but I will accept average at this point Jason Smith- a second player overall bust in 2009, maybe Kroner can bring him up to par ( Im reaching with this one) I think due to his age, Dunlap would be an inexpensive choice, and if he WEBB beats him out, I will have to eat some crow.
  24. late first, early second. Who needs him in the top 15? that doesnt need more apparent help.
  25. I dont think he makes it out of the 3rd, but I think taking a chance on him, if he falls to us in the 4th would be great. Athletic, speed, KR,PR specialty plays on offense. Worth a chance at 4.
