I believe he still has the speed,he just won't have linemen in his path on his way to make the tackle.

I also think Urlacher MIGHT be better at safety. The thought really interest me. He's got the speed,and he's almost like one already,always having to drop back in coverage so much. Did he not play safety in high school or college? Can you imagine the qb thinking of Urlacher's speed and height and the recievers thinking about his size and hits?

I totally agree,especially a year to rest the rest of his body,might make Url better??????????

The thing that I'm confused on is, why every sportstalk show,every tavern, every restroom at Soilder field and many here are in agreement. It's not that we don't use a variety of plays and formations etc.,he does not know when to call them TIMING. And that was just one person "Sharper"saying the Bears are not predictable. That's bull, most of us here sure do believe the Bears are predictable,we watch all 16 games every year. Sharper only watches 2 a year. I want to see some bootlegs by Cutler.

Like I said earlier in another post, our blitz's are boring, no creativeness, it's everybody in a straightline to the qb,things look like a traffic jam. I am always watching other games (on commercials or earlier/later games nflticket) and many blitz's look so much more different,creative and succesful then ours. Unless I am batting pretty good and see more successfull blitz's when I am changing the channels? If we blitz a ton, we sure are doing something wrong,cause we don't have that many sacks and hurrys.

I want more wolfe on offense and less lamb on defense. Lets blitz more. I am a big believer in giving the opposing qb less time.

I believe in being more aggressive. We defintaly don't blitz enough. I've been a blitz fan since the 70's. I never play video games, but my son does, he plays madden.I told him to blitz every defense of play. He tried it and with different teams and was yelling with joy on how much success he was having in killing the oposition. I understand it could be apples and oranges but boy do I believe in giving the opposing qb as little time as possible.

Exactly,When other teams mess up I'm always seeing the head coach rip into the other coaches face, whether it be O.line,D.line, special teams coach etc. Because when the other coaches hear it from the head coach,chit usually gets done, or gets passed down to the players. Players and coaches are NOT afraid of Lovie. Even in his post game interviews he never really blames a player or gets pissed. Professional sports is not what it used to be. Nowadays if you loose,you still can be happy,because you still go to your million dollar home,have sex,don't worry about bills,etc.

I totally agree. To me,NFL players get paid fair but Basketball and Baseball players are overpaid for the most part.

Lovie needs to sit some players at the start of a game for a couple of series or a half. Omaliye,Forte,Harris for example. Lovie is their coach first, not friend first, who cares what they think.You cannot tell me Vasher did not want to prove something after being benched, and he did with a little luck but I know he was pumped when he was sent in. It lights a fire under the substitute and the player being sat,when he returnes, believe that. I want Lovie to get more fierce, like we do when we watch the game and get a little heated. Not Ditka style but more then he has. Another thing,I hate our blitzing. It's always everybody on the line rushing a straight line to the qb,which leaves no room in the middle for our lbs because it's clogged.I've been watching other teams blitz with the tackles pushing a little outside at an angle, making the gaurds leave the middle open for a linebacker or 2 to come in untouched. I hate when we TRY to blitz and just seeing a traffic jam. The only success we have, is blitzing from the outside with one of our db's, but we don't do it enough. A blitz usually works when someone comes in untouched. We need to do a better job at this. I HATE THE WAY WE BLITZ IT'S PISSING ME OFF. I would like to know what our percentage is of sacks when we blitz compared to the rest of the nfl.

I live here in Colorado and seen Cutler tear it up on the bootlegs with Denver. But we never run it. Every team we played (I've seen all games) runs it against us with success, until we slow or shut it down. But we don't want to run these type of plays because the other team might figure it out after we have success with it. That's the mentality of our coaches "Well we don't want to run it because they might figure it out after awhile". Remember a few years back Lovie said we stop running certain succesfull plays because they were going to stop it sooner or later #*!^@%^#*!!!!!!. And the cover 2 is outdated. The way we play it,it's their 11 ofensive guys against our 9. Because our 2 deep guys do not need to be bothered with unless the play busts past the linebackers. To chit with the cover 2. The Bears need to play bust mouth defense.

I just saw that too. No do not do it,that will be less time for our younger guys. He just might be on the quick slide down in his abilities.

Test So many memories,but his last game,(Washington)where they did not give him the ball much,then at the very end he got a couple of calls and tried so hard. I was dissapointed on the few plays he got.I'm back on this board after 2 years.
