  1. 2nd fastest though. Personally it is a head scratcher but we will see. I do like the comparisons to Clay though.
  2. I wouldn't compare a guy projected to go in the late 1st to Bazuin. I don't know a lot about him and I'd have rather moved down. Seems like a pretty good athlete with good measurables.
  3. Didn't expect it. Interested to see how he will do as an end vs. the OLB. Not sure if I like this pick or not. I really liked Whitney.
  4. I'm planning on being at the SF game.
  5. This would be another solid pickup.
  6. I probably wouldn't make any of those deals. We have an opportunity to add quite a few solid players and I'm fine with that. If I moved up, it would be to get the LT out of USC.
  7. I think in many drafts some of these guys aren't first rounders. Martin, Reiff, and Adams have all had significant flaws. During workouts they have moved down in the draft and some question whether they can remain as LT's. Reiff is the guy I like most but he probably won't be there because too many teams need olineman so they will get taken. In a good tackle draft, these guys aren't going in the 1st round (or at least a few of them). It all comes down to the scouting and I don't know what to say. I haven't heard many people talk about these 3 as being potential above average LT's and if I'm using my 19th pick, I want to know my guy is being projected to be an above average LT (he doesn't have to be Pace or Boseli but he's got to be projected to be above average).
  8. I completely agree with you on Adams and I'm confident our scouts will have done there homework. I expect them to go DE or Wideout early.
  9. I'll tell you one thing. If I don't like the LT's and grade them out as 1st rounders, I'm not picking them just because its a need. I'll take my chances and pass cause I'm not wasting a first rounder on a guy that my scouts don't think will be good.

    Nike jerseys

I love the Bears jerseys. Wouldn't want em changed.
  11. Or you convince Barber to unretire and you are in business.
  12. I agree with you and this rumor was started by this guy that starts a lot of crap rumors. So I wouldn't believe it. That said, I guarantee the Pats make a call, but I'm asking for one of there 1st and a 3rd. Not sure if the Bears end up getting that but the Pats 2nd is a late 2nd rounder. If Forte tells me he really doesn't want to play with the Bears, I figure out if Barber really wants to retire (if he doesn't, he can still play with the Bears as a backup to Bush along with Bell), and I cut a deal hoping to get a 1st and another pick. I'd be willing to settle at a 2nd and a 3rd from a team.
  13. Personally I think Forte is better than Gore.
  14. To be frank. Forte has been nothing but a pro in the process and the Bears have now treated him like crap. I realize it is a business and I think Forte probably has gotten a reasonable offer he should have signed but now he is in a terrible spot as a result of not being the bad guy (e.g., not holding out). If I'm a player, I'd be very cognizant of what the Bears are doing and I'd think twice about taking their word at face value. If we trade him, than thats fine.
  15. The Bears spent a lot of money on insurance. Forte is pissed about it too. I think his time with the Bears might be done (depending on whether they can burn bridges). What good does it do the Bears to franchise Forte at this point. We aren't going to give him a big money deal (not when you have already guaranteed 7M to this back). A team isn't going to than guarantee another 15M to Forte. Best case for the Bears is he signs his tender this year and leaves next year (with the Bears agreeing they won't use the franchise on him). Another best case is you deal him for a 2nd rounder (no one would give up a 1st for him and to be honest, given the lack of importance placed on RB's, I don't even know if you get a 2nd for him).
  16. I'd be stunned if they didn't take him.
  17. It would appear that the standing offer from all the teams was pretty much equal. Basically manning wanted X and every team had agreed to such. That is at least what i heard Scheft/Mort reporting. Basically at that point, it was just a matter of Manning picking where he wanted to play.
  18. I'm not 100% sure about that. I think Flynn knew the system well and responded to it. He's a solid QB but I don't know if he's a stud. That said, I think the Seahawks needed a QB and were smart to sign him (even if he busts, Carrol has to get in a guy that he thinks can at least be a decent QB and I think Flynn can be that). I think his overall tools limit him from being anything more than that, but I could be wrong. I look at Flynn similar to how I look at Cassel. And I really don't think either will be much more than a Kyle Orton (which isn't a bad thing, just they won't be probowlers).
  19. Per Schefter/Mort. Tebow will be traded (or at least they will try and trade him). No deal signed, just that Manning has directed his agent to work out a deal with Denver. There are reports that he will get 20M per year and will be signing a 5 year deal. Pretty crazy amount of dough for a guy coming off 3 neck surgeries.
  20. How could anyone have known that Flynn would do what he did. The guy was a 7th round pick. The Bears invested more in the past couple years than the Packers did (Enderle, Levour or whatever his name is). And than there was Hanie who went undrafted but most people thought would go in the 5th or 6th round. The only difference is the Packers hit on there back-up.
  21. There are some people reporting that she was hit (or when she claims to be hit) occured after Marshall was already outside of the club. I guess Zach Zaidman had reported that based upon conversations he has had with the police (no idea who he'd be able to talk to cause I'd imagine the police couldn't talk publicly about this), that Marshall is no longer being looked at in the investigation.
