  1. hey, some points!!! anyone else not getting the HD feed on comcast?
  2. Orton could barely throw off of his right foot. He was picking it up and kicking it out a lot on his throws. Hopefully its a little less sore this week and he can get a little more on his passes.
  3. Stand-out back from Illinois, drafted this year. He's pretty much the reason they were in the Rose Bowl last year. He hasn't done too much in the NFL. He's on Pittsburg, and he's behind Willie Parker and Mewelde Moore on their depth chart.
  4. That's all fine and good, but Rex was still missing ridiculously wide open receivers all game. They weren't even close. Rex's strength is the PA deep ball, so when they tried that and Hester had a step or two, Rex overthrew him by a lot. Rex just doesn't seem to have many strengths any more.
  5. He was missing people badly in the first few games, but he's been fine since then. I don't remember Rex throwing any good deep balls yesterday.
  6. Yep, there's not much Forte could do with the holes the O-line is giving him today.
  7. The defense couldn't get the vaunted Matt Ryan and the Atlanta Falcons off the field to give the offense a shot. That was with repeated 3rd & longs. It wasn't a great offensive performance, but this one lies on the defense IMO.
  8. Is it possible the clock was really at 6.8 or 6.9 and that just reads "6" on the TV?
  9. How does that have anything to do with the football game played last weekend or the comments he made about it?
  10. Forte has looked good, but its been 3 games. Hester was drafted as a CB. I hope you remember how bad he was the handful of times they had him play corner. He hasn't had much of an impact on offense yet. What good picks, aside from Forte *possibly*, has Angelo had on offense?
  11. Olsen's fumble and the Panthers usually starting at their own 40 or better. Hard to play an entire game that way and not give up some points.
  12. Can you pass some of what you're smoking?
  13. When Rex gets the Bears to the Superbowl (instead of riding the defense/ ST there), let me know.
  14. INT's Orton 15 (13 his first year) Grossman 33 Fumbles Orton 7 (6 his first year) Grossman 7
  15. ....and Rex's usual 3 TO games won't cut it in the NFL, either. They both suck about equally. You need to wake up and realize that Rex will never be anything special in the NFL.
  16. There is no way that the Bears have just kept the same audible signals since Chris Harris last played with the team in 2006. Every team in the NFL would just be able to look at film to easily see the calls -- you wouldn't even need a former team member.
  17. Rex started in both of those.
  18. He had a TD yesterday. Clark fell into the endzone and was never touched. I don't know why they didn't call a TD and why the Bears didn't challenge.
  19. He wasn't good. But, without Olsen's fumbles, he would have won the game. Your boy Rex would likely have been no better and more likely much worse.
  20. They are both mediocre QB's. We've seen what Rex does, and we've seen what Orton does. You need to realize that the ONLY thing Rex brings is the deep ball. He can't read blitzes at all. He doesn't audible around them, he doesn't change protection around them, he doesn't find the open receiver. He just goes back, back back.... and takes the sack for 10+ yards or lobs up a desperation ball.
  21. If Adrian Peterson is your #1, you've got problems.
  22. It was over 200 games, so how ever many seasons that equaled. They kick away from him all game, but when they were pinned back they chose to kick it to him instead of kicking it out of bounds on their side of the field. And he takes it to the house and makes it look easy. Here's how it's seemed to me this year: Hester starts off the year great again. Teams start kicking away from him. For a few games, he only gets a few chances on KR and PR and doesn't do all that much with them (I think he gets frustrated that he isn't getting a chance). So, teams might start thinking "well, maybe he's slowed down a bit and we can contain him." And then he scores another TD.
  23. I was commenting on you falling in love with a guy who had one good season (grossman).
  24. I don't know if their stats were accurate, but they mentioned that Hester gets a TD about every 10 touches. That seems low, but it'd be interesting to see what the actual number is compared to other players around the league. Hester gives the Bears good starting field position a majority of the time, either from a big return or from the other team kicking it out of bounds at the 40. If the Bears offense wasn't so terrible (was actually able to do something with the field position), I think Hester would be in the discussion for MVP.
