  1. Change is made, we now draft on Sep 1st with keepers in by the 30th. To move the draft again, we would need 3x GMs to have issues with the 1st.
  2. Yeah I we have a window of time, you are the first to post about a conflict. I will make the change to September 1st unless there are other people with conflicts on that date. It is always tough because it seems like there is a conflict on every day, but since there are 2x GMs with issues on the 3rd, I will move it to the 1st, which means we will need Keepers set by the 30th.
  3. Yeah, I thought that was funny too. If they didn't draft Mahomes, KC has zero Super Bowls in the last few years.
  4. and the Bears had 3x 6th rounders, so they still have 2 left.
  5. Bears in the top 5 of the NFL in the Preseason: NFL Highest Passing Grade: 1. Bagent 88.8 3. Rypien 86.9 NFL Rushing Yards: 1. Jones - 158 Yards NFL Receiving Grades: 3. Bates - 85.8 NFL Pass Blocking Rate: 1. Murray - 90.4 NFL Sacks: 1. Hardy - 4 2T. Booker - 3 NFL Net Punting: 4. Taylor - 44.8
  6. Darrell Taylor. Has 21.5 sacks in the last 3 years, and 15 over the last 2. Feels like a poor man's Ngakoue. $3.1M cap hit. Low risk. 6th rounders rarely make an NFL roster, so I really don't care too much about 6th and 7th rounders if you can get guys who make the 53-man roster for them. Taylor looks like one of them.
  7. The Lions actually had their starters playing against 3rd and 4th stringers that year.
  8. After the last preseason game, I change my prediction to Bears 33-10.
  9. This is a glorious day to be a Bears fan. They defeated the SB champs handily, very close to an ass whooping, and they did it starting almost all players 3rd round or later while KC was running former 1st and 2nd rounders out there. The Bears end the preseason with a +68 points differential in 3.5 games. That is crazy. They scored 20+ pts and 3 TDs in every game. The defense has multiple TDs in less than 4 games. This would not matter if the Bears had weak starters, but both units look like they are top 10-15. With all the positives, there are still some concerns. I don't think Pass Rush or O-Line are the top issues anymore. They need another rotational DT and they need to solve the kickoff coverage and punt returns. Either way, a great way to start this season. A lot of good vibes going into Week 1 at home against the Titans.
  10. I don't think Booker was in doubt. Ultimately, 15+ players on the 53-man have to play because no one else is left. I think Scott played because C. Johnson and Pettis were out. Roschon didn't play, and Wheeler got hurt making Velus go in as RB. Bagent is the clear backup and with his added strength, his ball is coming out a lot better. He is a very solid backup and someone I would hold onto unless some desperate team is offering a 2nd rounder or something like that. I agree on Homer vs Velus. Homer just looks slow, I have no idea what he brings to this roster. He has no juice. I would rather have Wheeler and Velus over Homer. I have Owens under Hicks and mainly a ST contributor. I think they were just resting Taylor and saving his leg but I could be wrong. One team looked hungry, the other team, outside of 2-3 players seemed just happy to be there. People say it's just the preseason but for the guys on the field, it meant something. The last time the Bears were 4-0 in the preseason was 1994 when they won a road playoff game as a wild card team........ <insert thinking face> I thought it was interesting that the Chiefs were playing Toney (former 1st round pick), Moore (2nd round pick), and Hardman (2nd round pick) in the game. Our backups were holding up against those guys. Are you Reddy? That dude is a ballhawk, and something you can't teach. He just has a knack for the ball. I would consider him over Steward over Blackwell. 0 sacks allowed, again. The O-Line may not be elite, but they are holding up enough to allow the team to get a passing game going. No INTs thrown either.
  11. We have 4 payments left, 2 new GMs and 2 returning GMs.
  12. I sent Chad another invite. I sent Mike the transfer team invite from Yahoo. You are good to go on payment, thanks!
  13. Hm, I send Chad an invite. I will delete the previous team and add him fresh. For Mike, which team of the two you managed do you want him to take over?
  14. I don't know know if you heard this chatter, but I read this today. So since Byard joined the team, they have been running basically a Left Safety and Right Safety and not FS and SS. Apparently they have been doing that for DT as well, instead of 1T and 3T, they are playing as LT and RT (but on defense) and they are basically interchangeable.
  15. Revisiting the schedule and predictions. Using the schedule grid, I went and tried to predict every game for every team based on last year's record, and which teams improved the most during the draft and offseason. The Bears were the only team with 2x top 10 picks. So they had the highest weighted draft for key contributors this season. MIN had 2x picks in the top 17 but lost McCarthy for the season. They went from a net positive to a net negative as Turner just negates the loss of Hunter. The Division winners are projected to be SF, DET, DAL, and ATL with the 3x Wild Cards being CHI, PHI, and GB (in no order). LAR and TB are lurking and could easily pop into the discussion and should be in the hunt until the last week. For the AFC it is KC, MIA, HOU, and BAL with BUF, CIN, and NYJ as the WCs. DEN is the only other team close. It looks like PIT, CLE, and JAC will fade into no-man's land, between 6-9 wins. The projected draft order for 2025 is: 1. NYG (1-3 wins) 6-11 last season, rolling with Daniel Jones, top RB is Singletary, and top TE is Bellinger. First coach fired is Daboll, tough schedule. 2. LVR (1-3 wins) 8-9 last season, Minshew starting QB, from Josh Jacobs to Zamir White at RB1, brutal schedule. 3. CAR (2-4 wins) 2-15 last season, new coaching staff, Mini Me starting QB 4. NE (2-4 wins) 4-13 last season, new coaching staff, QB1 unknown, tough schedule. 5. MIN (2-4 wins) 7-10 last season, Darnold QB1 6. TEN (4-6 wins) 6-11 last season, new coaching staff 7. ARZ (4-6 wins) 4-13 last season, tough schedule 8. SEA (5-7 wins) 9-8 last season, new coaching staff, no rest advantage 9. IND (5-7 wins) 9-8 last season, Richardson looks terrible, no rest advantage 10. CLE (6-8 wins) 11-6 last season, cap hell thanks to Mr. Massage ($64M Cap hit for 3 more yrs lol), tough schedule Overall the margin of error looks like 2 wins. I have the Bears going 12-5 (+/- 2 wins). They are projected to lose to HOU, LAR, DET, SF, and GB. Their only win against a 10-win team from last season comes against DET at home in Week 16. Nothing seems too crazy right, right? Thoughts?
  16. I think some of that has to be for Hard Knocks, to show how "detail oriented" Warren is. He even picked out the color of the drapes "Navy Blue and Orange"! Brilliant! lol
  17. I know they were kicking the tires on Judon, but he is on a completely different level than Ngakoue. If they bring Ngakoue in, Robinson is probably the odd man out. Hardy has outplayed almost everyone on the D-Line next to Booker. I would roll with the young guys and look for a trading deadline trade instead. The schedule gets more difficult in the 2nd half, so adding talent for the playoff push makes sense.
  18. Oh I know, but to me it was more of a symbolic move. The McCaskey's go outside of the family circle. Bring in a guy who has stadium building experience, etc. He is like a Stadium Czar! However, his involvement in football ops is all show. Like I can't see him giving Poles any advice that would change Poles mind about a difficult decision.
  19. My unbiased, indisputable, backed by scientific fact prediction: Bears 31-13
  20. Best episode so far. It feels like they wasted a little too much time on other things in the first 2 episodes (Simone Biles). They really like the rookie singing thing. After awhile it gets a little old though. Odunze is a lot faster than I thought, I may have been underestimating him a little. I know there were some concerns about Allen but based on this episode and the recent practice reports, he is looking really good. It is a relief to see Flus isn't 100% Coach speak and the team seems to like playing for him. Bagent already talking about going undefeated in the preseason. We will see if he can help with that on Thursday. I know I have thought that "the preseason doesn't matter" but it seems to these guys. I still can't believe Booker was drafted in the 5th round. Warren, like a lot of top level Execs are basically worthless and just a figure head. Some of those positions are part of the bloat of corporations today. Like what is the ROI on his hire? How much more profit margin have the Bears brought in over Warren's salary directly related to his work?
  21. Ep 2. He has Austin Reed on as a guest, and they go into some great detail and give their perspective on the team. Interesting takes about the defense and Flus. They said that the defense is "elite" and that other teams have told them that. They also love Flus and credit him for how the defense plays. Some other cool nuggets. For me, I like the behind the scenes from the player's perspective. This really ties in with Hard Knocks and 1920 Series.
  22. Nice job, the site feels a lot quicker tbh.
  23. Well, they should be healthier than the Titans. They are expecting to play starters in their preseason finale: That's surprising, because the regular season is only 2 weeks later, so even if a guy has a soft tissue injury, he may not be 100% going to Week 1. For the Bears, unless someone gets hurt in practice, they should have all of their starters and key subs healthy for Week 1.
