Jaworski knows a thing or two about INTs since he threw a ton as a mediocre QB. INTs are very subjective if you are trying to place blame. The stat is a QB stat so you could say every INT was Cutler's fault, and you would not be wrong. Now Jaworski said something like 22 out of Culter's other 25 INTs were his fault. Meaning that somehow he could determine based on film alone that Cutler made the mistake. However, he doesn't necessarily know the call, the route the receivers were supposed to run, etc. Just by watching the games, I would say about half (12-13) were all on Cutler. The other half were receiver faults or clear non-penalty calls.

I just meant that they will use Turner as the excuse, since he does the playcalling and not Lovie. That is why the offense was so bad, etc, etc. For the defense, they will blame injuries, etc. Lovie, unfortunately is not going anywhere.

Go figure. Also, Jared Allen (2 tackles, no sacks). Chris Williams should be getting a game ball with a happy ending for that one.

Jaworski said he looked back at all of Cutler's INTs and that 22 of 25 (before that one), was on him. For me, that is hard to believe. I know of at least 5-7 that were completely on the receivers or clear Pass Interference non-calls.

I still believe Turner is gone. Lovie is going to get several benefits of the doubt: 1. Injuries (Urlacher, etc), 2. O-Line, 3. New QB, 4. Young Receiving Corps, 5. Turner will be scapegoat

Bad snap and hold. Hard to kick it 40+ yards in those conditions when the ball is not placed right.

I really hope this is Aromashodu's coming out party like Brandon Marshall had late in the season for Denver. The next year Cutler and Marshall lit it up. lol Jason, you beat me to it.

It looked like some broken ribs and probably a punctured lung. Hopefully he will be ok.

Thought it was funny that Gruden was saying how Lovie was good at masking coverages and such when Gruden himself is not coaching and in the booth.

Aromashodu also looks pretty good. Amazing Cutler has to throw to the likes of Aromashodu, Knox, and Bennett.

Tillman got away with one too, so it looks like they are not calling the ticky tack calls. However, the Bears should send in a video of all the blown calls this year against them. It would be a long video.

Well all initial responses from the team seemed to point in that direction. Probably a little bit of both. I do agree that ever thinking he was going to be a #1 was a mistake, whether that prevented us from bringing others in, we will never know.

Did Hester switching to WR prevent us from getting a true #1 WR though? If the team believed he could develop into one, that might be why they didn't pursue any legit WR's. If that was the case, I think it was a bad idea, because like you said, Hester is best suited as a #2/#3 WR.

It is sort of interesting to see where both of these players are a couple years after they both dominated the return game in 2007. Since then, Hester has been converted to a full time WR and has 0 return TD's and is near the bottom in Punt Returns (8.1 AVG). Receiving-wise, Hester has scored 6 Receiving TDs since 2007 with over 1,300 yards in two seasons (49th in receiving yards in 2008 and currently 43rd in 2009). Cribbs has 6 Return TDs since 2007, and is still a league leader in both Punts and Kickoffs. At this point, has this been the wrong decision? Based on the numbers, Hester is scoring less as a WR than as a Returner, and based on number of snaps, etc, it should be the other way around. I understand the team is underachieving, but this just seems like one area that was a huge mistake.

I said probably because I don't know all the inner workings or constraints put on the job. I just think Angelo got cute in the draft going for those value and sleeper picks. You can only go to the well so often.

The Passer Ratings were hilarious (Cutler - 7.9, Hanie - 8.3). This team packed it in weeks ago. The players are forcing a change, it is pretty clear at this point.

Yeah, this has been pretty bad. I would say calls in general have not gone the Bears way this year. Holding, blocks in the back, pass interference. All non-calls against Bears opponents.

Another management blunder. Hester is not the next Steve Smith. He could've been the best returner of all time, now that is a faint memory.

At this point I have to believe he knows he is getting fired.
