I am the same way. I want change, but can't root against the Bears.

Benson was diagnosed in Cincy with Celiac disease. My mother-in-law has it (allergic to gluten/wheat products) as well. If she eats anything with wheat in it, she gets lethargic and develops chronic fatigue. The weird thing is you can be fine your whole life and all of a sudden develop symptoms, etc. I assume Benson developed it while with the Bears, but was never tested for it. He always looked like he had no stamina or energy, and he now looks like the same back from Texas.

Minnesota will probably rest half their team anyway.

He has lost it. If he was released, I don't even know if another team would even pick him up.

I remember during the Vikings game Aikman mentioning that if the Bears had a few less turnovers (mainly INTs) in the close losses the Bears could've had 3 more wins than they currently have. I understand the what-ifs are BS, but....... Looking back at the games, Cutler had 4 INTs vs GB and we lost by 6. Against ATL, we had 2 INTs and a fumble and lost by 7. Against SF Cutler had 5 INTs and we lost by 4. I just wonder what the state of the team (mentality-wise) would be right now if we were sitting at 7-4 in the WC hunt. Regardless, it is amazing how a season can change so drastically from 2-3 plays in a few games.

Bears win 27-17 and extend the false hope another week. In reality, I would just like to see a well executed game, even if it is against the Rams.

Definitely the Colts and Saints, but I doubt they both make it. I would love to see the Saints spank the Vikes in the NFC championship game.

Then add zero time in the pocket and you have a recipe for disaster. Also, I have only seen a handful of times where the receiver broke up a potential INT. Most of the time the receiver just gives up on the play resulting in an easy pick. I would take offensive pass interference over an INT any day.

I would not be surprised if this happens a lot more than anyone knows. The whole team is poorly coached. There is no execution, no crispness, no discipline. It almost seems like they are just going thru the motions now. Like they know the season is over, so why bother giving 100%.

BF2000, I wouldn't call Forte a bust. Adrian Peterson didn't seem to be running very good against our defense last night unless he had a huge hole to run through. Half the time Forte is hit in the backfield or hit at the line of scrimmage. There is literally no where for him to run. All the plays are telegraphed, and our WR's and TE's are not very good at blocking. Hester is brutal at blocking. There was a swing/screen pass to Forte where Hester completely missed the block on his CB, yet Forte made that guy miss in the open and made a nice play out of it. Every play he makes this year is completely on his own.

I also think there is a misconception with the theory "just get him the ball". Very few players are successful in multiple positions. Hester was a top 3 all-time return man, and that does not equate to anything as a receiver. Catching a ball and running thru 3rd string LB's and RB's spread over 50 yards is much different than lining up one-on-one against a first string NFL defense. He has much more value returning kicks exclusively and being brought in on select offensive plays.

Actually, it is probably that way with most coaching styles as they all eventually run their course. However, some styles burn out much quicker than others.

At this point it just seems like Lovie lost the team (it happens). His style of coaching only works for so long.
