THE F'ING SUPER BOWL: Indianapolis Colts vs. Chicago Bears
Bears4Ever_34 replied to WHarris1's topic in Soldier Field
It was on Sports Nite a few nights ago, I haven't ever read an article on it, it was like a press conference sorta deal. I'll look though. -
It'll still be Grossman no matter what we say.

O ok, so I shouldn't read in to what LANCE BRIGGS HIMSELF SAYS? He wasnt speaking spanish, I could hear the whole thing. From his words and demeanor it looked to me like he'd rather be elsewhere to get paid the big bucks. -

Yeah but it was the biggest game I have ever seen the Bears play as I wasn't alive when they won it yet. Atleast now we can finally put to rest the 85 Bears to this team, its obviously a no contest. -
I like Rex but he has now proven he can't win a superbowl. Maybe if he gets back he can but not many get back for a second chance.

Just from his interviews, he even said he wants more money and said that he will play his last game in a Bears uniform. I told you guys this like on Wednesday and nobody responded, It was maybe on Media day or something but, even with a franchise tag I think it'd be awful hard to keep Briggs happy with no paycheck next year. -
Lol I saw that, he aint no reggie bush

I doubt it

THE F'ING SUPER BOWL: Indianapolis Colts vs. Chicago Bears

We are left with more questions than answers next year. Like I said Briggs is as good as gone he doesnt want to be here. Example, he told Hunter Hillenmeyer it was nice playing with him if that explains anything. We have a quarterback that can't win a superbowl and chokes. We have an old offensive line thats overated which is what I have been saying all season. Our d line without Harris is bad, and our safties were just plain bad. I don't see anything special in Daniel Manning. He seems to be out of place a lot. -

Benson was a big loss.. But the entire offense was pitiful along with the defense. When you can't stop a team multiple times on 3rd and 8, 3rd and 10, 3rd and 12 you deserve to lose the game. Thomas Jones had a nice 53 yard run, that is all. -
suprisingly he was 20-28, it seems like he didn't complete a pass.

LOL, o really? So about 50-60 of his yards were the last 5:00 of the game where Indy could give a shit. Give me a freakin break Thomas Jones did jack shit, he had one great 53 yard run in the first, after that, JD Runnels could have got 100 yards in the 4th. -

Congratulations Indy Colts, you deserved it and Im glad for Peyton Manning. Rex Grossman sucked ass he should go back to finish a year of eligibility for Florida because he probably would have lost the game for them in the Championship. God what a pitiful effort, Thomas Jones did nothing, Cedric did nothing, Moose did SOMETHING, our offense was Devin Hester the only player worth praising tonight. Don't expect the Bears to get to the superbowl any time soon because we wont be going there for a VERY VERY LONG TIME, Ill be an old grandpa by the time this happens. We had our best team out there minus the injured. With Briggs leaving this offseason Grossman sucking, its just pitiful to think what next year will be like. -
Grossman best not show his face in Chicago, he isn't a quarterback, WE NEED TO DRAFT A freakin QB IN THE FIRST ROUND NEXT SEASON!

WIN THIS ONE FOR WALTER PAYTON! -
Boomer and TJ are pretty good though and of course da coach Mike Ditka but Michael Irvin, Steve Young, Salisbury, Hodge, Schlerith are so damn annoying they are almost anti-bears.

Hey Ray Lewis picked the Bears

Ok Ill give you the some picks to vote on and you give me your answers. Offense: Running Game- I think the Bears have the edge here, when you have the luxury to keep your backs fresh at all times thats an advantage in itself. Thomas will start and hopefully start off well but usually the 3rd offensive series Cedric Benson comes in and he softens up the defense only to bring TJ back in late in the 2nd or starting off the 3rd. We need to set the tone early, run often run right at that defense, be aggressive. Passing Game- Obviously the Colts have an advantage here but if the running game is effective that makes the play action very valuable. If we accomplish part 1 of the offense part 2 will be there whenever you want. Grossman is going to have to throw some long balls though to get some points, Berrian is the most important offensive player in the passing game for us. If he is on our offense is clicking on all cylinders. Defense: Front Four- Advantage Colts IMO, our goal on offense is to double team but maintain Freeney, don't allow him to bypass the O line for sacks, make him work for everything. If we shut him down it opens up everything but if he dominates then our offense will obviously be pretty bad. Mathis is also a good pass rusher so we got a lot to deal with, its imperative that our Offensive Line plays one of there best games tomorrow or it will be a long day for the offense. On the flip side for us. Mark Anderson could be a dark horse for the MVP if he has a big game tomorrow. He is active and I highly doubt any O lineman of the Colts can contain him. The ends are more important than the tackles imo because they can force Manning into bad situations and contain the outside stretch plays they love to run so much. Linebackers- Advantage Bears, Urlacher is the biggest key for our entire defense. He must win the chess match vs Manning on his audibles and Urlacher is one of the best at that. Indy might be forced to go with the more inside runner Rhodes because there going to try to negate Urlachers athletiscm from running side to side and run right at him. He and Briggs must make there presence felt early in the game. Urlacher is going to be matched up with Dallas Clark alot of the time so watch out for the draw plays where Urlacher is out of position or the fake play action where Brian is forced in a guessing game. Thats what makes the offense so good for them because Manning controls everything. It starts with the pressure. The game will be won on 1st down, get them in 2nd and long 3rd and long situations. Defensive Backs, Advantage Bears, Vasher and Tillman are gonna have there handful with Wayne and Harrison. They must jam them to throw there rhythm off. Everyone has to be perfect. But with pressure look for the Bears to go into alot of nickel packages so Ricky Manning can have a day out there. The two Safeties are essential to the Colts passing game. Manning and Harris will have to bat down passes all day and stay in position and not get into trouble with play action or its 6 points for the Colts where Reggie or Marvin go over the top. Special Teams: Kicking- Advantage Colts, any time you have a sure fire hall of fame kicker in Venatieri your going to have an advantage. I believe in Gould but he has to prove it first, Adam has already shown that he can kick some pressure fieldgoals on the biggest stage in sports with a couple game winning fieldgoals. Kickoffs- defenately an advantage for the Bears. Hester is the key to this, if he can give the Bears good field position it makes Rex's job much easier to just hand it off and run the clock out. If Hester returns one for a touchdown it changes the game completley and it probably means a Bears victory. I really think this is going to hurt the Colts as I have seen in their previous playoff games against the Patriots they gave up alot of yardage to Ellis Hobbs, just think of the damage that could be done with Hester. He just needs to secure the ball first before he does anything, and not make any mistakes. Defending- Advantage Bears, they have the best special teams in football, and Ayanbedejo, and Adrian Peterson are the best the Bears have in stopping the Colts returns. I just worry about the punt returns, we seem to not be so great at that and Wilkins is one fast dude. We should be alright though. Cumulative Score: Bears 5 Colts 3 So there you have it, I know its a long post but its my last big one before gametime!! What do you think?

THE F'ING SUPER BOWL: Indianapolis Colts vs. Chicago Bears
Bears4Ever_34 replied to WHarris1's topic in Soldier Field
I agree, Both the Ravens and the Chiefs didn't commit to the run, and they had horrid execution and play calling. Remember, Cedric comes in for Thomas Jones to soften the d up and both RB's stay fresh unlike LJ and Jamal who are the featured backs. This is a definate advantage for the Bears and I dont think Bob Sanders makes all the difference in the world and I expect the Bears to run the ball more than 28 times tomorrow unless we are behind early. If Rex Grossman starts the game like the Seahawks game the Bears will win the game if our defense plays great as well. He doesnt have to win the game for us but don't think for a second he doesnt have to make great plays. There will be times where he needs to have a great drive or two to put some points on the board similar to the New Olreans game. I really think the darkhorse for winning this game is special teams. If we put the Colts in bad territory and Gould has a day and Hester changes the game with hopefully a TD then it will just destroy the will of the Colts. Peanut Tillman is going to be absolutely huge tomorrow if he can slow down Marvin Harrison and keep him within the 5-10 yard range. Don't be suprised if Ricky Manning has a big game, he almost won it for Carolina when they played the Patriots back a few Superbowls ago. The Gameplan should be: -Run it ALOT with Cedric and Thomas Jones -Play actions with Rex and allow him to get comfortable early on with a few short passes. Hopefully Berrian will make some huge plays during the coarse of the game. -Play the PERFECT game on defense, force turnovers, interceptions, sacks, pressure, great coverage. -Maintain the pressure throughout the entire game, get in Mannings face, force him to throw off his back foot or throw it out of bounds if we can't sack him. -The Rookie Mark Anderson's pressence must be fealt. - WIN THE DANG GAME!!
