  1. Hard to see them taking Denard Robinson. He's a WR who's never played the position before. After what just transpired with Devin Hester, I can't envision them replacing him with another guy who doesn't have a true position.
  2. From a value standpoint the Bears came out the worst. The Long pick was a reach and Bostic could be viewed as a little bit of a reach as well. It remains to be seen how they will turn out as players, but the Bears did not get great value out of their draft picks so far. The Vikings got tremendous value out of their picks. Floyd, Rhodes, Patterson? That's a nice 1st day. The Packers got Lacy at the tail end of the 2nd round. Many thought he was the consensus #1 RB in the draft. Bill Polian had him in the top 10 of his Big board. I'm not an advocate of taking RB's high, Adrian Peterson notwithstanding, so the fact that they were able to get Lacy in the 2nd was great value. The Lions got good value out of Warford in the 3rd.
  3. They took a freakin center as their first round pick. Lmao. Guy was a projected 3rd round pick.
  4. He honestly reminds me of a young Lance Briggs. Turns out they are identical in height and weight. Even have similar builds. Emery says he's a 3 position LB, which he may be, but from the looks of it, he looks most like a future Weakside LB to me.
  5. I wish.. Arizona just got themselves a hell of a play maker if he can stay away from trouble.
  6. Honey Badger off the board.. Damn it. Peterson and Mathieu back together again. It will be interesting to see which guy takes over return duties. I'm assuming it'll be Mathieu.
  7. There goes Brown.. Perfect situation he's going to in Baltimore. Future Pro Bowler. This stings a little.
  8. I liked Brown a heck of a lot. I'm a little pissed we didn't take him, but not as mad as I was last night.
  9. Bostic is not a bad pick. The question I have is which position will he fill for the future?
  10. I liked what I saw from Bostic at the combine but I don't know if he's a MLB. I can't believe they passed on Arthur Brown.. Brown might not be a MLB either, but I believe he's a better prospect.
  11. It'll probably be some guy I've never heard of, but Emery did draft Alshon Jeffery in the 2nd last year, so there is a little hope.
  12. Kevin Minter gone. Crap. Would the Bears go Matt Barkley if he's there?
  13. Great pick for San Francisco. The rich get richer. Carradine is a steal.
  14. Honey Badger wasn't a 1st round pick.
  15. Right, but it wasn't before he decided to royally freak up his professional baseball career by getting kicked out of school because of drug abuse and eligibility issues. Had his last name not been Long, I have my doubts that he would have been thought of this highly. Hard to imagine you could get much out of watching those 5 games of film at Oregon.
  16. Nothing says a great pick like a 1st round, 24 year old project, with minimal experience and a history of underachieving.
  17. Day 2 needs be better than Day 1, because Day 1 couldn't have gotten much worse.
  18. You would think they'd target a LB in the 2nd round now, but after today, and last year's draft, I honestly have no idea what to expect. What I wouldn't do is draft a quarterback in the 2nd, so that's probably what he's going to do.
  19. He sure as hell better start. He's going to be 25 damn years old.
  20. I hope we go LB in the 2nd round, but our pick at 20 doesn't exactly instil much confidence in me. Guessing we'll take a quarterback. Tyler Bray or Mike Glennon. It's very true.
  21. Kyle Long will be 25 in December. He made 4 starts at Oregon, and also has a history of off-field issues to boot. So we just drafted an old, projected 2nd round pick with the #20 overall pick, who also happens to not be anywhere close to a finished product at that age.
  22. They had to be, given how they left so many good, talented prospects on the board to take him.
  23. The kid from Alabama would have been an infinitely better pick than Kyle Long, and I didn't even want him. This pattern of reaching is not good for Emery. His tenure will not last long if Long or McClellin don't pan out.
