Shopping with $55 million
I'd be pretty bummed if they did all that and were the worst team in football...I wouldn't expect them to be great or anything, but last place would make me a sad panda because it probably means those FA acquisitions and draft picks suck.

Shopping with $55 million
Gonna need a backup QB one way or the other, so I wouldn't necessarily count out Cutler being gone just yet. I think he stays and works with his buddy Gase, but certainly wouldn't be shocked if he was gone either.

Shopping with $55 million
Sure would be fun wouldn't it? 55M to spend in the best free agent market in quite some time, and then being able to compliment it with a top 10 draft choice sounds like a whole lotta fun.

2 for 1
It's possible, but neither guy is a true difference maker. Personally, I think the Bears have the cap room to add a difference maker, and the one that makes the most sense is McCourty.

Marshall trade to Jets
According to Aaron Lemming, who apparently has some connections, "From the hire of offensive coordinator Adam Gase to now, Marshall was reported as rubbing the new regime the wrong way."....So if true, all the stuff that we know about that went down last year could very well be irrelevant as he continues rub people the wrong way.

Front Office. I'm lazy and thought this was a known acronym around these parts.

My #1 FA Target
If this is truly a rebuilding year, I wanna see Wilson given another shot. Jeffery/2R pick/Wilson for a year while they use their money to fix the defense. If Wilson doesn't live up to his potential then address the position the following year.

Marshall trade to Jets
He also broke the Fox and Fangio moves before anyone else, so I'd say he has connections somewhere.

Well when you don't have top tier players to resign, 2nd and 3rd tier players are all you can resign. I love how one move is already making people doubt the FO.

My #1 FA Target
Still gonna be some talented WRs available in the 2R. Get your top defensive guy in the 1st

My #1 FA Target
Wouldn't hate it, but with how well WRs are transitioning to the NFL, I wanna go the draft route.

Laiest Walter Football Mock
Ahh, so it's not really that different. With Marshall gone I'm dead set on going OLB round 1 and WR round 2. I really love Phillip Dorsett and think he's exactly what this team needs. This WF mock has 3 other WRs taken between our 2R pick and Dorsett, but I think he's the best fit of the 4.

Article from the guy who broke the trade.... http://chi.scout.com/story/1524475

David Harris re-signed by Jets
That's a lot of coin for a guy who should be a 2 down LB.

Eh, if the staff really views this as a rebuild then getting rid of Forte, who only has 1 year left anyway make sense. We know you don't like Jay so you should have no problem with that either. Alshon and Bennett are still strong pieces for the passing game, and this draft is pretty loaded at RB (and WR too add even more to the passing game). If they could spend the money wisely to fix the D, we could be sitting pretty at the end of the day. Keep calm, the new year hasn't even begun yet.

Aaron Leming @AaronLemingNFL 17m17 minutes ago This is a long process & can't judge off of 1 move. This is a rebuild, said it yesterday. Cutler & Forte aren't safe either. #Bears Aaron Lemming was the guy who first reported the B trade.

Marshall trade to Jets
Jen Lada is the lovely young lady who co hosts inside the Bears with Anthony Adams.

Marshall trade to Jets
Honestly, I'm not so sure you even need to sign both those guys. I think people are giving up on Wilson way too soon. The kid doesn't even turn 23 until September. I could live with him as the #3 while adding a guy a guy like Royal or Sammie Coates/Phillip Dorsett in the 2R.

Marshall trade to Jets
If all the off the field stuff we heard(And I'm sure there's more we haven't) is true then this tweet pretty much sums it up for me. Jen Lada @JenLada 30m30 minutes ago New Bears brass is solidifying *structure. Removing liabilities. It is what any decent home inspector would order for long-term stability. I'm cool with a 4th and a 5th. I said MAYBE they'd get a 3rd, but thought a 4th would be more likely. Also, with AJ needing to be resigned, and I believe Fox talking about running the ball more, it'd almost be foolish to invest so heavily into the WR position.

Briggs informed he will not be back
Oh cmon now, that's a little overboard and don't ya think? Did he kick your dog? I mean dude got fat, opened a restaurant on an Ill advised day, and wasnt a fan of the coaching staff(he wasn'tthe only one). What screams jail, or even has you calling him an awful human being? I loved prime Briggs, even more than 54 at times, dude was a beast. He's not a fit in Fangios D though, and its time to move on. I wouldnt be surprisedif he hangs around for a year or 2 and still plays relatively well....II'm guessing the Cowboys.

Brian Hartline?
So much for making a decision in 24 hours....Perhaps waiting to see what Bears do with Marshall?

MJD Retires
The RB wall is real. These guys take the most beating on a football field IMO. Forte might have a some life left in him because he's a bigger back (MJD was 5'7"). I could go either way on keeping Forte, but I think this should be his last year as a feature back. Too much evidence out there suggesting that backs his age are due to slow down.

Bradford for Cutler straight up
If they don't plan on Jay being the QB the next few years then they might as well. Make the trade then draft a guy like Hundley or Grayson in the 2nd. I'm not so sure they wanna move on just yet though.

Laiest Walter Football Mock
Anyone remember who they had mocked in the 2R last time? I'd say it looks different because they have Shelton not being there, and not because of any whispers.

Bears “exploring trade options” for wide receiver Brandon Marshall
Perhaps worth noting, the last 2 years the #4 WR in Gase's offense has a grand total of 247 yards on 21 receptions...and a lot of that came in 4 games when Wes Welker was hurt. He could of course add that wrinkle to the offense I suppose though.
