He was an UDFA out of college as an LB but was converted, without his knowledge, to FB the second year with Washington. Coach Shanahan apparently liked how he hit and he had good hands so there.... Anyhow, in the long run sounds like another camp body. Report

August 4, 20169 yr comment_158858 It appears we're serious about keeping a FB on the final roster. With the lack of blocking TEs on the roster, Scruggs being the only apparently decent inline blocker of the group, this probably makes sense. This will be one battle to watch play out during the preseason games. Report

August 9, 20169 yr comment_158895 If we keep a FB, I believe it would be in place of a TE. It would be interesting to see how our running game would look with a full time FB plowing holes for the RBs. He is a TD machine, in his career he has 13 TDs on 96 touches. Report
