Whitehair PFF Top 10 Player List

Featured Replies

I know there is a lot of angst about PFF and there is valid debate about their scoring system. Nonetheless, to be listed among top 10 players in the entire league for Week 5 is a really good sign for our rookie center. Did anyone expect to see Whitehair on a list that has players such as Von Miller, Tom Brady, and ex-Bear Mason Foster?

Nope, and considering the move to Center, (and the availability of Sitton), we really scored there.

How about Foster too? I always liked him and didn't understand why he never made the team in the first place.

So how does this PFF thing work? Cumulative or one week performance? If it's cumulative then I get the love for Von Miller (1 sack?); but if it's 'per week performance' and comparing to a Bosa's performance of 2 sacks then why wouldn't Willie Young get some recognition with his 3 sack performance?

Because it's based on individual people's grades of each play. That's why PFF often comes to conclusions that make no sense at all.

That said, whether he is a top 10 player in the league or not (he's not) it certainly does indicate that he's been playing well at center.

I subscribed to PPF for fantasy information and it has some substance but it isnt the end all for football. Whitehair is going to be a player , and hopefully the OL gets there shit together and starts playing more consistently. I like Pace but getting Massie was a bad choice, he isnt very good.
