November 29, 20178 yr comment_167946 So let's say we're sold on Trubisky. I'm not completely 100%, but I see potential. Nonetheless, this class is LOADED. At what point do you consider drafting a guy if he slips? I've seen mocks where guys like Josh Allen slips to the third, and Baker Mayfield slips to the fourth, which would be unbelievable to me. I'd say the third or fourth round is when the Bears should start considering the QB position. Regardless of depth, the QB position needs to be considered every year until a stud backup is acquired. I’m curious to see if we don’t already have the ‘stud backup’ in the roster in Trubisky. Until he proves franchise worthy, I’ll stay with that. At this point I’d be ok with them going into next year with both Trubisky and Glennon on the roster and like you draft a third QB. I wouldn’t go round 1-2 for him but like you said look for a great deal in the later rounds. To me the players of first and second round consideration are WR and Tackle. Yes I said it...Oline. Report

I think they should if they like a prospect. I still have hopes for Trubisky, but as they say, the QB can make everyone around him better. With that said, does anyone think Brady could get it done with this roster and coaching? Report
November 30, 20178 yr comment_167951 If you are in the 3rd and a QB is BPA well above any other player, you take him. If a QB slips, but is never BPA, I think you have to pass. Report
November 30, 20178 yr comment_167952 We don't have a 3rd Rd pick but if we did and someone like Josh Allen is there we should take him, especially in the 4th Rd. I am a Trubisky fan but he isn't perfect (yet) so having another shot at a franchise QB does not hurt. If you hit on one you will get to trade the other. The prospect that I can see falling in this manner is Lamar Jackson. Report

No way would I keep Glennon on the roster at his current salary. He sucks and he would be the most expensive backup in football. I would rather keep Sanchez around and draft a QB late. Peace Report

No way in hell Glennon should be around. He's due $12.5M, and counts on the cap for $4.5M. He's gone. Glad you're finally coming around to the realization that OL is first round worthy. Report

Glad you're finally coming around to the realization that OL is first round worthy. What other choice is there? They picked Trubisky and “he’s the one”. Surely Pace wouldn’t trade up for another ‘can’t miss’ QB prodigy? I see the writing on the wall and need for the foundation of a strong offense. OL makes sense now that a large number of your offensive skill players are in place. Save WR of course. Report

I’ll stop hoping for Glennons return if you promise me he’ll be ‘the one who’s name will never be uttered (or seen) again in Chicago’. Report

I am good with anything/anyone that helps Trubisky in his development http://chicago.cbslocal.com/2017/11/16/bea...mentoring-role/ Peace Sanchez is more like a massage therapist in his role on the team than strategist. I’m not convinced he was as much the mentor to Prescott as was Romo but ok. If Sanchez was there for his advice on “seeing the game” then Biscuit would be advancing more than he has. If anything Sanchez can dispense advice on how not to fail and deal with adversity. Report

See, that's more like it. That's why I mentioned when Trubisky was drafted that the Bears should go heavy on OL & WR immediately. The same applies now. If they are hitching the cart to Trubisky, then everything possible to make him successful should be done. Report

The team's that are competitive every yr are the teams that have a proven QB and those teams get guys who can help that qb. A top QB can't do everything all by himself. They need players around them Report
