Robby Anderson?

Featured Replies

I hate to give up picks, but Robby Anderson is said to be out there and could be had for a day 3 pick. If he could be had for a 5th would you do it? This would allow our day 2 picks to be shifted to OL/DL/CB.

I'm Skeptical. I did some research and found:

On Aug. 24, 2021 the Carolina Panthers and receiver Robby Anderson agreed to a two-year, $29.5 million extension.

So 15 million a year and what did he do for Carolina in 2021:

Anderson is coming off the worst campaign of his professional career. 2021 saw the talented pass catcher post lows in receiving yards (519), yards per reception (9.8) and catch rate (48.2 percent).

Now, do I want to pay someone 15 million a year for that?

In his defense, the QB situation in Carolina really sucked last year.

SO, I'm more inline with Connor. A 6th or 7th rounder is a safe gamble.

I’ll trade our overpaid  rehab project Eddie Jackson for their overpaid rehab project.

That's kinda like the season AROB had last year. At least AROB had a more consistent career to go by. As far as WRs, We need to draft our own and get the cheap contract for 4 yrs. Any WR available now are motivated by big contracts, we need to stay away from that.

Whatever pick you give up for him, he becomes that pick.
