Preseason Game 1 - Bears vs Titans

Featured Replies

It's game day.

I would like to see Fields and the offensive starters play at least 2 series and hopefully score on at least one. I want to see Fields getting the ball out quick with timing.

Main players I will be watching besides Fields: Wright and Claypool on offense. The entire D-Line and Gordon on defense.

The media is going to be so polarizing after this one. If Fields looks good as a passer, look out MVP. If he looks bad, he is a bust. There is no in between.

Defense did relatively nothing to stop Titans on first drive. Malik Willis just walked them down for a 72 yard TD drive. Gordon was only player that stood out on defense so far.

Offensive drive, pass in the flat out to Blasingame for 10. Herbert run up the middle for 1. Quick pass to DJ Moore, takes it 62 yards to the house, LMAO!

A couple of runs by Herbert, Fields feels the rush on 3rd Down, escapes and finds Herbert who takes it to the house for 56 yards lol.

Justin Fields 3-3, 129 yds, 2 TDs, 158.3 QB Rating

LMAO!

Dexter and Pickens changed the whole dynamic of the D.

If they can stop the run, the defense is gonna be good.

Bears defense holds them to force a 4th down, but a RB dive just gets over the line for a TD. Very close.

Colbert with the forced fumble and recovery, it is being challenged, upheld.

In the last few plays, Dexter getting some penetration, and Gipson with a near sack.

Offense doesn't do much and ends up punting. I am not impressed with PJ Walker. He looks worse than Willis and Levis, which is not good.

The rookies are playing well.  Stephenson, Dexter, Pickens and Wright will be starters.  Sewell and Johnson will see significant time.

Yeah, they have all been really solid.

At the half, Trevis Gipson is the player of the game.  Loved what I saw from Gordon, Stevenson, Pickens, Lewis, Sewell, Herbert, Moore and Fields.

I'll evaluate the OL play tomorrow.  Bear down!

One thing you can really see from DJ Moore on that screen is he is a genius when it comes to spacing. i saw it on the film from Carolina too - he finds the perfect spacing against zone defenses. Think of all the WR screens we've seen fail over the years (looking at you Gary Crowton) Getsy get it when it comes to screens. And screens will compliment our zone running scheme, and Fields' running. Great to see.

Roschon has looked really good in this 3rd quarter, probably against a lot of guys who won't make the roster, but he still has looked solid with a few nice runs.

Stevenson has 7 tackles and 1 PD. Sewell has 4 tackles and a sack. Gipson had a ton of pressures, but didn't register a tackle or sack. Lewis had a strip sack. For backup safety, Thomas had an INT and a PD. Colbert had a forced fumble. Nice production from the entire team.
