I didn't see this one at all. A new TE and WR? Loaded.

I love the player but did not see it coming.  I did many mocks taking him because he is electric.  Does DJ Moore get  traded?

They needed a wideout and this guy can play. Looks like they focused on getting Caleb and coach more toys. Wonder if we see oline or dline next?

Reality is goal is to draft good players and while I would have moved around - I think they got good players with their first two picks.

No - we haven’t seen good offenses in our life. They are trying to create match up problems and a legit offense - that is why they now have 3 good wideouts and 2 good tight ends. My guess is they don’t focus on back as much until later now.

I think Kmet would go before Moore. Now the Bears have 2 WRs and a TE on rookie deals for the duration of Caleb's rookie window.

The team never learns. I thought the interior OL pickups in FA meant they were prioritizing the trenches. Now we have FIVE receivers who want the pass. 🤦🏻‍♂️

They could deal Kmet, but Johnson is a two TE schemer. They are deep with receiving.   DJ Moore quit a few times is my first thought.

Draft Ersery here and trenches on offense are pretty good. I wanted Banks but we will never know if he was the target

I called him the perfect Ben Johnson slot in a mock I did a few weeks ago and still believe that. So many options on offense now. Kinda funny to me that yesterday was all “the Bears will be in 12 personnel all the time” and then we turn around and draft a slot receiver. Some concern about practice habits with him but my guess is that DJ takes him under his wing and gets his head right. Compared to a faster Amon Ra St. Brown. Last year was supposed to be the year the Bears looked like a real offense. Maybe this year they actually do it.

This is another Johnson pick, he clearly impacting the draft. Anyone they pasted on means they weren't interested. There board has different names they expect to draft.

After last years circus act with DJ let’s hope Rome takes him under his wing.

Moore, Burden, and Loveland can play all over.

The Bears could stay in 12 with Kmet and Loveland. Every one and their brother in Chicago was crying because they didn't need another TE.  I am not saying on this site, but social media.

I am enjoying seeing these weapons added. Still would like to see a RB and a OT/G.

The Bears signed Dayo Odeyingbo to pair with Sweat, so DE doesn't have to be a high round and same a DT.  They can go developmental there.

Nice job by the Bears media team.

That reply is epic.

Also anyone else see the Bears draft room when they drafted Burden? They were even more fired up than when they got Loveland. Randle El was going crazy.

Burden had a 1st round grade, and some had him as WR2 or WR3. So getting him as WR5 seems like a good deal.

He was rated high most places. Clearly Johnson wants more weapons to work with.  As they pick players, now I go watch tape to see what we got.

Why Burden fell ... but I think he is in a good place to get the coaching he needs.

I seen several podcasts where some said he has the talent to end up being the best WR on a team in a few years.

Bears get a Deebo Samuel type player here.  He can line up at RB, slot, and out wide. So missing out on a RB until the 7th isn't exactly correct.  Burden will get plenty of jet sweeps.  He had 34 carries at 234 yards in 3 years, but will be more involved with Ben Johnson at the helm. Deebo averaged 35 carries a year in SF.  Jameson Williams had 15 carries 61 yds being 20 lbs lighter for Johnson comparison.

Burden was projected in the top 10 in some mocks and was WR1 in some as well, depending on your flavor of WR.

He immediately becomes the best WR3 in the NFL, and will draw the opponent's CB3 on most plays. That in itself is a mismatch every snap.

Imagine a DC trying to cover Burden, DJ Moore, Rome plus Kmet and Loveland. Someone is wide open every play. Now does Caleb find that player is the question.

It should be a matchup nightmare for sure.
