Bears4Ever_34
I haven't heard anything out of camp this year that feels any different than in year's past. It's always the same story about the struggling offense and quarterback. There's still a few weeks left to turn a corner, and maybe they will after the install period is over later this week, but the vibes don't feel great to me with the quarterback. Way too many delays of games and lack of anticipatory throws.

It’s been two weeks of practice and for some rookies just one week. I’m not worried about the Oline because most of those issues appear to be communication. Experience will iron out the wrinkles. Same. From culture alone, it's been night and day from what we've seen in over a decade. Watching GMFB this morning, they were so concerned with 2019 Lamar Jackson being inaccurate in camp. That led to his MVP. Then, they talked Jamar Chase dropping a ton of ball in practice, which led to an All Pro season. I think Caleb will be fine, even if he doesn't figure out how to throw people open. There are several HOF QB's that didn't have that in their tool bag. AZ54
Loveland was criticized for his route running being a tick too slow and not being ready for the ball coming out of his breaks. This was after he dropped a couple where Williams hit him right out of the break. I’m not worried about Loveland. He’ll adapt to it and I expect Caleb to keep throwing him open like that. Stinger226
I think the next few weeks where we practice with other teams will show our progression or how much we are lacking. Its a work in progress and BJ expected this at this time but he is pissed on the pre snap penalites which should be gone by now.

Id like to see it soon, but it might take a minute, but it's hard to imagine this group not figuring it out over time. The roster and the staff are much better than anything we've seen in quite a while, and in some ways, ever. I dont want to have patience, and I am going to see every mistake in the early games of course, but if it doesnt come fast, that doesnt mean it isnt coming. We will see what needs fixing, and if players need replacing - which isnt always the same thing at all. If Trapilo is rough early for example that's different than if DJ Moore is screwing up. One you expect to have a growth period, and the other is a polished pro who should be his normal great self. But i think this team should grow into something special, and i hope it happens fast, but if it takes a minute, we should be seeing growth at least. I won't lose hope right away if we start slow. AZ54
My concern with Trapilo is somewhat the opposite of Braxton Jones: Can he handle speed on the edge? We have nobody on our roster to really test him that way.

We have nobody on our roster to really test him that way. exactly. But Miami will. He was pretty good on his college tape, moves well laterally, and is naturally wide. But some of these pass rushers have speed and hands and they are slippery as hell. Cant wait to see Trapilo try to handle that. And even if he gets beat a few times, if he learns, that will be great.
