Some interesting Week 1 games.  Both the Dolphins and Panthers looked terrible. One of those HCs will be the first one fired. Currently, only 2 RBs have hit 100 yards rushing. this week. Etienne had 143 but one rush accounted for 71 yards lol. Breece Hall was the other with 107.  Only 2 Passers with over 300 yards so far, Geno Smith had 362 and Herbert had 318 on Friday.

Looking at some of the comparable QBs:

Penix had 298 passing yards, 1 TD, 1 sack, and 21 rushing yards. 319 Total Yards. Lost.

Maye had 287 passing yards, 1 TD, 1 INT, 4 sacks, and 11 rushing yards. 298 Total Yards. Lost.

Daniels had 233 passing yards, 1 TD, 3 sacks, and 68 rushing yards. 301 Total Yards. Won.

Fields had 218 passing yards, 1 TD, 1 sack, and 48 rushing yards. 266 Total Yards. Lost.

Still playing:

Goff, near the end of the 3rd Quarter, has 152 passing yards, 0 TD, 1 INT, 1 sack.  Lions' offense with only 6 pts, look completely different without Ben Johnson.

Nix, near the end of the 3rd Quarter, has 131 passing yards, 1 TD, 2 INTs, 1 sack, and 13 rushing yards with 1 fumble lost. Currently winning 13-12.

Stroud, near the end of the 3rd Quarter, has 122 passing yards, 0 TD, 1 INT, 3 sacks, and 26 rushing yards.

Huge news for MNF, no Harrison Smith. That is a huge loss for the Vikings secondary. This is advantageous for the Bears TEs.

Anything helps. It looks like coaching matters, Detroit doesnt look good w/o BJ.

Green Bay is good...

Not what I wanted to see to be honest.  I hope the reason Detroit looked bad is because we took their OC.

It may be a part of it, but GB's front seven is nasty.  My main hope is that Detroit had to replace their interior three OL this year.  Detroit, also didn't generate any pressure against their OL.

Hutchinson is simply not the same player. He has no lateral quickness.  It will come back to him but it’s going to take time.  Detroits IOL was not on par with last year overall.  Lots of new parts there so it might just take some time but I do wonder if Ben Johnson’s  obsession with details is the real missing piece.  I’ll find out tomorrow.

Hutchinson is never going to be the same player. It was crazy talk about him coming back for the SB if the Lions got that far and even in the offseason videos, he looked slower. Both sides of the ball didn't look particularly well, but they did lose both coordinators.

Bears will get them next week on a short week in Detroit. So that is a double negative for the Bears, especially with all the current injuries. I just hope that same DET team shows up next week.

Darrisaw is not 100% and may not actually play, that would be another huge loss for MIN:

He's listed as questionable for the game tonight. Did have a full practice Sat.

If Gordon, Edwards, and Johnson are all out, my opinion on the outcome of this game is going to take a dramatic shift. Those would be three brutal losses. Those are arguably your 3 best players on defense.

Bears offense might have to play a lot of ball control, ground and pound football tonight to come away with a win, because this Bears secondary without those two guys is awful.

Yeah for sure. Edwards is basically out. Johnson seems to be on a snap count, and Gordon was a last minute add, which is never a good sign.

Add Sweat in there and those are the top 4 Ds. Unless Jarett is youthful again.

I feel like Im taking my drivers test for the first time, anxiety, nervous and hyped waiting for the game to start.

I agree!  I keep telling myself it’s a good thing because I actually have expectations this year.

And, of course, no Gordon OR Jaylon Johnson. Bears, for some reason, didn't elevate anybody from their practice squad for depth, so we could be looking at a safety playing corner if one of those guys goes down in this game.

This game comes down to Caleb Williams and his development. He needs to take a step forward IMMEDIATELY and lead the team. The Bears need to be offensively focused rather than a traditionally defensive team.

Bears 28-21

Caleb taking what is giving and I like what I am seeing.  Those deeper shots will be there if they can establish the run action.

I was trying to figure out who 55 was and its Dayo, he's all over the place.

First drive TD drive was promising. Penalties need to be cut out, huge DPI on defense led to 3 pts for MIN and false starts killing the offense.

Dayo and Sewell have played great.

Run game has been basically non existent. Swift also seems to be missing some holes on cutbacks.

To many penalties

 Dayo and Sewell look good

protection is pretty solid

Us winning this game will be determined if we get points out of the blocks in the second half.
