Monangai is really growing on me. He keeps his legs moving, and on any player other than a DT, he moves them back. On any 3rd or 4th and short, I am giving him the ball every time.

I like how Monangai finishes his runs, always getting a yard or two more after it seems its over - especially from a little guy :)

Surely you jest.

not at all? He was getting the ball out fast, making fast decisions.

Manongai has arrived.

This drive is all Monangai so far.  Seems apparent to me Johnson wants to see what’s he got in him AND has a concern with the passing game.

Santos is trash, too. Special teams really couldn't be any worse this season if they tried. I'd give Moody another look next week.

We seem to have a rhythm to the offense today. If you listen to the announcers, they are spot on with their comments on Caleb. He has been making decisions better and a few negative. The key is keep running and let the passing game find itself.

The last throw (to Moore) was nearly an INT against the 32nd(?)  pass ranked defenses.

He's going to have to miss a few FGs before they change to Moody but I would prefer that to happen.

1 incompletion to Moore, Kmet with a drop, Odunze with a drop.  Even on the Moore pass, Moore is being held, and he clearly can't get back to the ball on the dig. That wasn't supposed to be an outside throw. Moore just got held.

I stand corrected.  Williams does a shovel pass to Zaccheus for a TD .  😏

Interesting way to get their first passing touchdown in 3 games, but a touchdown nonetheless. Bengals defense is, indeed, terrible.

Missed the outlet toss to Monangai in the last drive.

Curious. How many pass attempts to rush attempts?  I’ve been looking but can’t find it.

yeah that was a bad read, I would grade that a minus play. But he's been getting the ball out fast, or making the decision the run in rhythm.

I guess we will all agree when he is the total package, when hes' a top 5 QB, and until then, we will all see it through our own filters, expectations, narratives etc. And of course that includes me too.

10 Pass Attempts, 11 Rushing Attempts, and 2 Scrambles (Pass play), so about as close as you can get to 50/50 mix. This is about as optimal as you can get.

From what I’ve seen so far the “chirper” is a MUCH better option at Nickel.  As long as he keeps himself in check he’ll be a great add.

Calebs not going to be perfect but has to be better in the short passing game. he has more good today that bad.

Opportunity for the offense to regain control of the game after the special teams spotted the Bengals 7 points. Monangai has looked great so far.

and just for comparison, the Lions have 207 rushing attempts and 204 passing attempts on the season.

How do they differentiate between rushing and scrambling (pass plays)?

In theory then Justin should have had more passing play credit right.   🤣

Yeah, play call vs run call. Can't really control the outcome.
