How good is the Bears running game? Swift, Monangai, Johnson, and Brown are all in the top 30 for Success Rate, and all but Roschon are in the top 30 in Explosive Play%.

Speaking on that.  See that three of our RBs are on the injury report for today listed as “Limited” (Swift, Monangai and Johnson).  Not as a big of a deal on a Wednesday as say a Friday report but still worth noting.  Maybe Brown’s turn to shine?  🤷🏻‍♂️

Brown had a little Forte in him, a little bit of a taller back with long strides. Swift and Johnson both being limited are upgrades from last week. Monangai is probably in a little bit of a rest protocol after taking so many reps in game. Hopefully they will all be full by Friday.

 

 

 

Giants front 7 makes me a little nervous for this game if the Bears have to play from behind late in the game. Luckily, the Giants are just as terrible against the run as the Bengals were, so if they can continue running the ball, that'll alleviate many of my fears about their pass rush. 

On the flip side, Dart has found out ways to still be effective without his top weapons. He's really dangerous with his legs. No Tee Higgins and Jamar Chase this week, but the Bears can't take the Giants lightly. Dennis Allen needs to step up and call a better game, too. 

After this game, the schedule gets a lot more difficult. Just get to 6-3, and then let's beat the shit out of Minnesota the following week to really catapult this team into serious playoff contention.

and Edwards had surgery on his wrist and is out a few weeks now. 

If the Bears can't beat the Giants at home, w/o Skattebo, and their top WRs are Robinson and Slayton, they don't deserve to be in the playoffs anyway.

Line has slide to -4.5. The Bears can't lose at home to this Giants team without Skattebo. Hopefully the weather holds up and doesn't become a shit show.

Giants have a lively front 7 but they have given up 105 points over their last 3 games. Only 6 TOs in 9 games. They have the second worst rushing defense in the league. They are w/o their top rusher and WR. Dart has some game but not enough to overcome a team that will run for over 200 yds and hold the majority of time on the clock. They have problems with their kicker. All of this tells me we will win 31-14.

I think both Monangai and Swift will combine for over 200 total yds today. Caleb wont have big yds because of the weather but will have a high % throwing a short passing game. Moore and Loveland will both standout. 

Can we just take the WR bubble screen off the play card? I don't know what the fascination is with this play but it rarely gains anything and almost always ends up as a near INT, incompletion or loss of yards. 

I feel (hope) a big game by Sewell today.  
 

How will the hyphen twins do?  Is the newest one playing?  

Shocked the Giants went on 4th there. Dumb decision for me. It should give the Bears a good chance of putting points on the board. Looks a bit cold in the windy city.

It must be a requirement to call these plays to be a Bears coach because it has been a pkay we cringe no matter what year or coach.  Has it worked at all over the last 15 years?

Greg Olsen is probably one of the best if not the best color commentators currently.   We should have never traded him.  🤣

Both of those end zone catches were difficult. The screen was a knuckle ball. The one to the back was an easy catch. Caleb looks good so far 😃

Like Olsen said I think he’s right in that most teams will go for it when in that 45-45 yard zone and short yardage to go.  Especially when most defenses are struggling like both the Giants and Bears are.

Chicago looks balmy to me.  It’s 19F / -9C where Im at. 🥶

true on all accounts. the ball is likely very hard today, not so easy to grip, especially as hands and the ball are slippery too.

But yes, Caleb is getting the ball out fast today.

So frustrating watching other teams catch everything in sight while our receivers can't make the simplest adjustment to help out their quarterback.

Unless you're Slayton and snag the ball with one hand.  A few Bears act like they want to be sitting in their warm house the way they playing soft (Stevenson).
