COVID Year I believe, and it was just Joe Tryon back then to TB.
Bears4Ever_34 Posted yesterday at 08:09 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 08:09 PM They only had 3 healthy DE's on the active roster coming into this week (Sweat, Booker, Hardy). They had to do something—I just wish it was for somebody who can actually help. This guy has 5 tackles and 0 sacks on the season. You can find somebody on the street for that kind of production. AZ54 Posted yesterday at 08:45 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 08:45 PM I never thought I’d say this but I really hope Dom Rob gets well quickly.

Pixote
If you want the best compensation (draft picks) for your top players, wait until the NFL trade deadline. Teams give up far too much for quality players, hoping it will give them a shot at the playoffs/Super Bowl. We have all agreed that the most successful teams build through the draft. Swapping a 6th for a 7th is just a handshake to make the deal official. We keep our top draft capital, which, with BJ's input, will hopefully result in a quality starter. Quote Tryon-Shoyinka stands 6-foot-5, 260 pounds and is 26 years old. He was a first-round draft pick by Tampa Bay, the last pick of Round 1 in 2021 out of Washington. Quote This season Tryon-Shoyinka has recorded three pressures without a sack but his playing time is way down with the Browns with just 31 plays on defense and 58 on special teams. Was a teammate of K Gordon—a cheap one-year rotational piece to help out our D and ST. Good Deal, IMHO.

Actually 5 tackles in 31 snaps is pretty good. After being signed late the Browns just havent given him any playing time. The Bears were never going to trade for a big contract edge. What they were looking for was added depth that will fill in as a rotational DE . Joe T-S best year was 40 pressures, 5 sacks, 7 TFL, & 7 QB hits and one forced fumble in 50% of the snaps. He is 26 and signed for two yrs at 4.6 mil that can be cut at any time for no dead money. As someone said, low risk, low cost. If we can get 4 or 5 sacks out of him in 9 games he will have been well worth it.

Was very against any big moves - but this is low key and basically gets you a former 1st rounder for what will likely be moving down 15-20 spots from middle of 6th round to early in 7th. DABEARSDABOMB
The Jets did exceptional. No clue why Colts did what they did - but they clearly believe in Daniel Jones. Cowboys got a great player - no idea why they did it now.

Keep your picks and if we get them right we extend the longevity of success.

I read the pick they get back is actually the Eagles 7th round pick, not the Browns own 7th rounder, so it could end up being the last pick of the draft. Doesn't seem like good value to me, if that is the case.
AZ54
I watched all 3 of his highlights. He’s a poor man’s version of Dayo and Dayo certainly made us poorer.
