Chris Jones and Aaron Donald were two elite pass rushers who won super bowls relatively recently.  It just happens to be a few of better pass rushers on this league have had awful qbs / are awful orgs (Browns and Raiders).

The story was more relating to current players and Cris Jones is elite for a DT but has only had 12 sacks in the last two years and averaged 9.6 over his career.

Aaron Donald retired in 2023. He averaged 12.3 in his career.History has several top pass rushers on SB winners. We can both agree great QBs gets you SB winners.  I didn't research his statements to say it's a perfect take.

I completely agree - can’t be just one player. I have not been pro Crosby cause 2 picks was too much - but him opposite Sweat plus Booker is solid. Add one of our 2nd rounders inside and the line gets significantly better (plus Shamar and Ayo back and our new DT signing)…now that’s a dline. Draft a safety and DB and I’m liking the D a heck of a lot more.

Our downfall on defense was mainly due to injuries. We wouldn't have been juggernauts but a lot better than we were.

IMO you add a rookie DT, DE and possibly S and our defense will be in the top half of the league next year.

I could see where if Brisker doesn't get a contract, he could come back on a one year deal for 5-6 mil. Once they added the Free agents, we will have clearer picture of the draft.

I liken DAs defense as a good pass rushing team with several 7+ players, rather than a 15 sacks a year guy.  DA likes to blitz from several different spots.

Not necessarily a fan of signing someone who can’t pass their physical (esp if he costs a lot) but while doom scrolling found a story about another ‘failed physical’ guy we signed back in 2005.   Guy  by the name of Roberto Garza.   (Apologies as this was a straight screen grab from the socials).

Seen the Ravens signed Hendrickson to 4 yr 112 mil.  Might be fake, but came here after reading that to see if true bc we are usually quick to post

Looks to be real.  So Baltimore gets their 2 firsts back and pay less.  Raiders get Linderbaum and Crosby back for more trade ammo. Seems fishy, bc it stinks.

I hate to be the one to say this but  Greg Gabriel just said that one of his agent friends texted him and told him the bears were going to talk to Vegas about a trade for Crosby. It wasn't a clear they are acquiring him but they are going to check it out.

He rarely puts out insider info, so it will be interesting to watch.

It's crazy that the Ravens can get away with those types of shenanigans, but the Bears can't even get comp picks they are entitled to for doing the right thing.

Funny how quickly Hendrickson came off his 40mil/yr asking price.

Poles wouldn't be doing his diligence if he didn't see what the new asking price would be.  I was not down with aquiring him for 2 firsts.  But that price has to have gone down. If we can get him for a much better deal then that's a win.

Amen, that is absolutely nuts.  I feel like there should be some sort of punishment whether it's losing draft picks or something.  If I'm the Raiders I'm ticked because now their return will be far less than before the Baltimore trade agreement.  Other teams who pivoted elsewhere are now having to figure out if they can or want to get back into the mix.  For Crosby it sucks getting jerked around, he'll certainly have a chip on his shoulder whenever he faces the Ravens.

Supposedly the Colts had an offer on the table for Hendricks and once the Baltimore opp popped up, he took it. So they may be in the worst position because at least the Raiders have Crosby still. The Colts have neither.
