Bears trade 60 for 69 (3rd) and 144 (5th)

Featured Replies

Bears trade back 9 spots to pick up an early 5th.

Bad trade value for Bears there. 9 spots that early is worth a mid 4th, should have gotten a 5th and 6th for that move.

Poles underwhelming me today.

I figured he'd go for another pick but lost that on the trade chart.

This sucks, Hill goes to TEN. There is no way the Bears will get a player like that with pick 69 and 144. This is a weak draft, moving back is a terrible idea. This really sucks

My next edge is Dani Dennis-Sutton. Hope they didnt drop to far. DT Grace Halton should also be in the picture.

I expected he'd try to trade back from one of the two 2nd Rd picks. Everytime I did that in a mock draft I always liked the picks I ended up with. We'll see how it goes. When I watched some of the hidden gems videos on da'tube, one thing about this draft is there are some lesser known names that are pretty good athletes at our need positions. I'm curious to see how this shakes out.

I liked Jacas a lot and we will never will know if the Bears were going to take them. The early pick at C bums me out but as long we draft good football players, my opinion isnt a big deal. In 3 yrs Jones could be a pro bowler , everything is not judged on initial response.

The next pick will be a surprise name and not be people we expected.

Bingo, TE was a need and love Roush but where our defense?

The Bears like their own roster . They expect Dayo back, Turner back and other people on the roster we arent counting on. Surprise , surprise.

They are stuck with Dayo and Jarrett but will they keep them around after at their salary...doubtful. They need youth and talent.

None of these picks make sense to me now, but we have to see what the team looks like at training camp. Last year people questioned Loveland and Burden picked where they were and how did that turn out.

Im not complaining, actually wanted all 3 players. Maybe not the slot taken.

Dayo was a terrible signing from the start. He will never be explosive and was never explosive before. Jarrett was a locker room signing and is over the hill. Both will be gone next year. They must really love Austin Booker for this year. Kayvon Thibideaux may be in play...

I'm fine with the players but Jones and Roush for 57 and 69 are both huge reaches.

I agree, had Jones rd 3 and Roush rd 5, but I am only a couch GM and the guys i would have taken are still on the board.

The bears dont ask the fans who they should take and when they should take them. We have to see how it plays out. After last years draft, I was very disappointed and ended up being our best draft in a very long time.

Several things appear to be true after watching us draft three offensive players in a row. First it seems like they feel Shemar Turner will fill the glaring void for a third DE. That would make sense for a guy who is a tweener recovering from a knee injury. He’d struggle to add all the DT weight

Second by trading back that 5th Rd pick gives Poles enough to trade up to around the 10th pick in the 4th Rd. There are several good DTs still on the board, many who have been highlighted on our board. Talent varies from run stuffer NT like Capehart to 3 tech Gracen Halton.

I like what Zxavian Harris can do on the field. Don’t like the off the field stuff so based on what Poles said about narrowing the list down to love of the game players I’ll guess he’s just not on our board at all.

I dont see Turner being DE #3 with Sweat, Dayo, Booker. I see him being behind Jarrett and Dexter at DT. He played DE due to the Bears being thin. I might be wrong but going off tidbits ive seen. I think they take a DE going off my feel. DT if he is best player. I think they grab a RB late too.

As you stated Turner played DE because of injuries but was drafted as a DT. I think they could play him at either spots according to the other players they bring in. We dont know the progress of the injured players on our roster. I think the fact they havent addressed the DL that all the injury concerns are going well in rehab. This is where after the draft we could bring a Cam Jordan if we dont get a DE.
