Wills in 2020, coming out of Alabama, was considered by many a blue-chip OLT. His injury set him back, even though he tried to play before he was fully recovered. Now, with the OL coaches we have, could he live up to his original expectations? Did we just sign a top-10, first-round OLT on the cheap, only to find he is the real deal? Report

Wills is still young too. Between he and Braxton, we should be in OK shape, at minimum. Report
Thursday at 02:11 PM3 days comment_235038 We have to give Poles credit for finding players . It has yet to happen, but prospects look good that this was a huge pickup. Last year he brought in DuShon Wright that was a huge add. He misses on 3 rd picks but has built this team. You cant take that away from him. He said when hired it would take 5 years. He is now in his fifth year. I think we could see a run to the SB, it may be a year away. It has done a great job. He will be remember for BJ and Caleb, not how many misses he had on draft picks. Its all about building the roster, and he did it his way. Report
Thursday at 11:25 PM3 days comment_235045 Wills has a prototypical body and great college tape. The only thing is, he didnt just get injured, he was putting up AWFUL tape in Cleveland before he got injured. But hes young, and he has an excellent coaching staff around him. Could he become great? Sure of course. But i want to see it with my own eyes first, because his previous NFL snaps were atrocious.I could imagine any outcome for him now; greatness, inconsistent or terrible. Cant wait to see him in action. Report

His second and third year, Nick Chubb was all pro. Report

The best talents will waste in the nfl unless coaching and the team invest in them. If the player dont feel wanted they end up going through motions. Lets hope Wills takes this new opportunity to be and feel relevant. Same with Braxton Jones and Kiran, may the best win the spot and the remaining are ready to step in. Report
Friday at 02:39 AM2 days comment_235049 I’ll feel better about Trapilo and Wills when I see Theo Benedet taking snaps inside. Trapilo is a better swing tackle prospect. Theo might become the ultimate game day sub if he can backup OG and OT plus he does a lot of special teams. Report

Friday at 04:39 AM2 days comment_235051 I’m going with Braxton week 1. Like last year with Trapilo I see Wills taking over mid season. It’s no mistake that first half snaps are split between Wills and Kiran with Bagent and the second string. I too will be watching that tape. Almost two years removed from football is a lot of rust to shake off. The fact he’s gaining ground after just two weeks, which Ozzy wasn’t able to do last year, is intriguing. Report
Friday at 08:45 AM2 days comment_235054 I should amend, and acknowledge the all rookie team Mongo mentioned. He was and is a very good run blocker. The tape I saw was of his pass protection issues, and it was really really bad. That doesnt mean he's still bad. He was great in college, and now he has Roushar and not the Browns. But i want to see it on the field before i can "believe" it - doesnt mean I know he will be bad, just that I dont want to crown him when the last snaps I saw from him were so bad? I want to see him be great on tape, and then ill happily jump on the bandwagon! Report
15 hours ago15 hr comment_235077 I think they start Braxton and probably keep Wills as the backup. With Theo the backup at RT for Wright, they will keep 4 Ts on the 53. When Ozzy is ready, probably 3-4 games into the season, not sure who gets tossed? Kiran will be odd man out but he will be picked up if let go. His measurables is hard to find. Report

He has 4 weeks to get up to speed before Week 1. There is actually a good chance he is ready by then. Incredible. That was the one position on offense I was concerned about. If they go with him as the starter, and the best of Braxton, Kiran, Jedric as the LT backup, the Bears are in much better shape. Benedet the backup RT and Swing Tackle. I would not be surprised if they try to trade Braxton or Kiran if they are the odd man out. Braxton is in the last year of his deal and Kiran has a year left on his rookie deal. With injuries around the league, I would think there would be a market for either one. Report
