Agreed. There was nothing positive in the three plays leading up to that 4th and goal. Just take your gifted 3 points and go up two scores.

Bagent needs to start the next game. I see a lot of the media and here saying Keenum had a great game. While he played as well as you can expect a 38 year old third string QB to play it wasn’t all good. He does not have the arm strength to get the ball outside the numbers. There were far too many close plays on the few outside throws and too often Bears WRs turned into defenders. If he starts the next game DBs will be jumping those routes. You don’t want to take away throws outside the numbers because the safeties will sit on the inside routes and some will get hit hard. Bagent doesn’t have the strongest arm but it’s better than Case. He can hit those 10 yard outs better. Plus Case can’t run which removes all read option plays. Celebrate the win. Celebrate that we have a serviceable 3rd QB which is rare. Then get Bagent ready.

To be honest I’m surprised about the negativity about last nights game in this chat. I have just watched it in the UK. I didn’t stop up to watch it because I’m just over 60 and staying up that late is now a killer. I only do this now for playoff games and hopefully the Superbowl when we make it.

I did not expect us to win the game and not as easy as we did. It's been a long time since we easily beat teams, and I could sit back thinking it's unlikely this team will come back on us.

I don't care what BJ chooses to do, I am thankful he is our head coach. After some of the muppets who have held this position, I have to say I’m shocked anyone on the forum questions his decision-making.

I think we have a really good chance of having a great season this year, which will be harder than last year since our schedule will be harder.

I look forward to enjoying the ride all the way to the Superbowl, and jus in case you wonder, I haven't had any Kool-Aid.

there is a big difference on this week and last also. i 'believe' we shit canned the SP long snapper who was terrible, and brought back the older vet. PLUS we were smart enough not to have ROUCHE in blocking. you are a stat guy. compare successful 4th down plays against unsuccessful field goals. i would love to see those odds in vegas.

Agreed, but for different reasons. We saw that Keenum is proficient at this offense, now it's Tyson's turn. It's important for his career to be seen succeeding. It's also important for us, as a desperate team may overpay for him at the trade deadline.

If Hurt didnt have to exit the game, that failed 4th down attempt would have turned into 7 pts for the Eagles instead of an INT and that momentum could change the outcome. Its okay to question the coach, he is crazy at times. I call him out for passing too much when there's a 3 and out. Not that I don't like the guy, its I want to win at all costs and those gambles dont always win.

The same Hurts who threw two passes to T J Edwards on the same drop back coverage one quarter apart?

Having a good and fast safety is game changer to my comfort level watching games. The play where he covers 20 yards from single high coverage to keep Saquon to a 7 yard gain is the best example. Last year that would have at least a 10 yard gain if not 15

All possible and perhaps likely. Remember we’re the same team that stripped the ball off Hurts last year on a tush push. If it were me I’m handing the ball to Barkley behind that oline.

Still riding the high from my in-person experience a few days ago, but now that I’m back to the doldrums of being a Bears fan in Alaska, I’ll say this: Johnson is a wizard with his play‑calling. If tailoring a game plan for a 38‑year‑old retiree and making him look like the second coming of Brady isn’t enough, then I don’t know what is. Sure, he’s made a few boneheaded calls, but some of the intricate designs he rolled out on Monday were just wow—truly innovative.

I saw one clip on social media (can’t find the link now) showing a run play where, instead of Jackson and Wright lining up on the right side, they shifted to the left. Then Kmet (I think?) motioned over, with Burden covering the right edge outside Thuney and Jones. When the ball was snapped, everyone just steamrolled the Eagles’ left defensive front, with Rousch thrown into the mix. It really put the Eagles back on their heels.

And then the pièce de résistance for me: the Keenum sneak into the end zone. Watching it live, I thought, “Wow, he got in way too easily—no one even touched him.” Turns out Johnson designed that play with both guards pulling in opposite directions at the snap, which caused just enough confusion up front for Keenum to practically flop into the end zone untouched. Johnson later said it was actually a Mike Martz design that he decided to try out earlier in the week. Great stuff! Looking forward to whatever he comes up with for the Jets.

Yes, I know "any given Sunday," and we are on a short week for prep, but come on, with home-field advantage considered a given 3-point shift, it is basically saying we are in a toss-up game.
