  2. I finished in 5th last year. It was pretty competitive with the 6th place team winning the championship, and 9 out of 10 teams with a chance at making the playoffs in the last week of the season.
  3. Pix, this 10-man league started in 2010 and I joined in 2012. The "dues" are $75 with winnings: 1st - $440 2nd - $200 3rd - $75 4th - $35 The team you would assume finished in 2nd last year, so they would be picking 9th in a snake draft (so 9th, 11th, repeat). Here is their final roster: Keeper Eligible for 2026: Jonathan Taylor Ind - RB Round 2, Pick 5 George Kittle SF - TE Round 3, Pick 6 TreVeyon Henderson NE - RB Round 4, Pick 5 Breece Hall NYJ - RB Round 5, Pick 6 Brock Purdy SF - QB Round 7, Pick 6 Deebo Samuel Was - WR Round 9, Pick 6 Jared Goff Det - QB Round 12, Pick 5 Jake Bates Det - K Round 14, Pick 5 Not Keeper Eligible: Matthew Stafford LAR - QB - Not drafted by team Justin Jefferson Min - WR - Last Year's First Rounder Jameson Williams Det - WR - Last Year's Keeper Juwan Johnson NO - TE - Not drafted by team Tee Higgins Cin - WR - Last Year's Keeper Christian Watson GB - WR - Not drafted by team Kimani Vidal LAC - RB - Not drafted by team Parker Washington Jax - WR - Not drafted by team Patriots NE - DEF - Not drafted by team We allow up to 2 keepers per season. They have to be drafted by you and on your final roster. The cost of the keeper is +1 round for the first keeper, and if you want a second one, that will cost +2 rounds. For example, if you wanted to keep Deebo Samuel and Jared Goff, Samuel would cost your 8th rounder, and Goff would cost your 10th rounder. The league is a PPR league with the following roster spots: QB, WR, WR, RB, RB, TE, W/R/T, W/R/T, K, DEF, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN, IR, IR, IR. 2 flex, 7 bench, and 2 IR slots. Most of the scoring is traditional with bonuses for 100 yard rushing/receiving or 300 yard passing. Everything else is pretty standard stuff.
  4. I have been to 36 countries and its the safest one I have been to. The year I retired I went to Columbia and Thailand for a month to try to find a warm place to go for the winter. It is literally cheaper to go there than Florida and AZ where I checked out spending the winter. There is petty thievery there but I have never experienced it personally. Im not out at 2 AM stone drunk, so I dont put myself in a position for that. 70% of their GNP is tourism and they go out of there way to protect it. You dont see a police present either , where other places I've been you notice it all the time. Now the airfare has been up the last 4 yrs over previous yrs. 3 yrs in a row I paid 1180 RT from ORD. Last year 985 , so its coming down. Previous to those yrs, I went 14 times for under 740 and twice for under 600. The weather for the whole yr is 69 to 95 every day. During Dec-Jan-Feb its perfect weather. 69 to 85. I am by the Ocean and its always a sea breeze that makes it much better than inline. In 2019 Thailand was the most traveled country in the world, Bangkok was #1 and Pattaya # 15, where I stay. It is one of the most scenic countries in the world and NOT expensive. I could find a place to live for 200 a month but I like big pools with gyms and sauna . Last yr I paid 320 a month. Covid was dirt cheap and since then the rents have been going up as people try to recover from the Covid yrs which was a disaster in Thailand. The same place I have stayed the last 5 yrs is a condo complex , other renters can pay up to 800 a month, where I have paid much less. If anyone wants to travel to Thailand on a vacation, contact me I have 14 yrs experience going there. I will gladly give advice. Its paradise. I suggest a minimal two weeks because of the length of the flight getting there.
  5. I have been in this league since it started and Adam is the only I always notice off this thread. ( he seems to always win all the time)
  6. Yesterday
  7. He won’t sign for anything under 25 and he likely jumps into top 3. Probably 26-27 per.
  8. I have played a ton of redraft leagues in the past, but never a Keeper League. I "MIGHT" be interested in filing an opening for a manager position, but would love to review your league's rules and the details of the team I would inherit before committing. I once ran a redraft league for this site many years ago. It was a 12-team league, free to join, played for bragging rights only. (I never had a chance to brag. LOL) Interest in the league dropped, so it was unfortunately discontinued. I really enjoyed engaging in the competition with forum members.
  9. No prob, and thanks for doing that. We can ask the board to see if there are any members wanting to participate.
  10. I believe he's gonna get Sewell money.

  12. Is Thailand fairly safe? My wife and I are looking at it for winter retirement...

I haven’t seen anything. I also don’t troll for Packers news.

I cant really find any updated stories on Josh Jacobs, does anyone know if its a nothing burger or just not legislated yet?
  15. 7 months a year in Northern Ill, MP (61115) and 5 months in Pattaya , Thailand. Literally cheaper to live than going to Florida or AZ for the winter. 300 to 350 for a nice condo- food 20 a day-6 for a 1 hour massage- drinking is a little cheaper- 9 for phone service airfare last yr was 985 69 to 89 everyday while Im there, where I stay has an ocean 10 minutes away. I have a broken body after plumbing for 50 yrs and need the sun..
  16. He is a projected staple on the OL so he will get a top 5 contract probably unless he gives them a loyalty ( a few mil less). Ryan does pay stars that he wants to keep.
  17. I will check with my friends that were in the league, I am pretty that Mike, Chad and me are back but will need a new body for Scott. He didnt pay his money and I paid it to not screw up the league .
  18. adam replied to AZ54's topic in Bearstalk
Johnson only signed a one-year deal, so that one is hard to gauge. Also, nowadays the guaranteed money is a bigger deal than anything else. I assume he will get top 5 money across the board for overall, APY, and guaranteed, and it will be worth it.
  19. So far so good sir. Just hosted our 4th annual block party and had a great time in the sun . We try and keep it near the solstice since the weather in June is generally better. Having it “beach themed” almost felt like we were in the islands. Lol. Tomorrow’s supposed to be in the mid 70s and possibly creep into the 80s for the weekend. Before you know it our sun will be gone and the snow will be back. For now we’re living big in the sun . Hope all is well for as well in ‘Bama(?).
  20. Yes it isn’t a bad Scotch at all. I’ve determined I'm more a Bourbon guy but will dabble in a Scotch here and there. This one I like. Like I said good price at Costco. I hear you on the Bears gear. Was in Colorado a few years ago watching the Rockies play. Wore my Jordan #45 Sox Jersey with Bears hat. Got a lot more “Da Bears” than I expected. This year I’ve seen more Bears fan out in the remote-er parts of Alaska thinking “where did you all come from”?
  21. AZ54 replied to AZ54's topic in Bearstalk
I see him in 4th place on this list
  22. Expect 26-29...
  23. Rumors abound that the Bears want to get a contract extension done with Wright before training camp starts. OTC has him valued at $19m/yr. Spotrac has him at $21m/yr. current cap hit is $6.7m.
  24. AZ54 replied to AZ54's topic in Bearstalk
Honestly I’d never heard of him until I read that article so it’s safe to say he had little impact on the field. Despite Detroit knowing about the performance issues and legal trouble it appears they did little to hedge their bet on the position. They have enough cap space $16m to sign someone so I expect they will watch the waiver wire at the end of training camp.

Arnold is a bust. 1 INT in 24 career games at CB. Below average PFF grade, etc. Might actually be a blessing in disguise for DET. He seemed like a liability out there. QB's had an 88.6 QB Rating against him.

First round pick, just 23 years old “Per Birkett, “the charges for Arnold could carry a potential sentence of up to life in prison,” and the state attorney intends to file a pretrial motion arguing that Arnold “remains a danger to the community” and should be kept in jail until trial.” “If Arnold becomes unavailable for the Lions’ 2026 campaign, cornerback becomes a major position of concern for the team. In his absence last year, the team relied on veteran Rock Ya-Sin to step up alongside D.J. Reed and Amik Robertson. The team added nickelback Roger McCreary in free agency and Keith Abney II in the fifth-round of the draft, but with Washington taking Robertson in free agency, the depth of the room is fairly thin.” Pro Football RumorsLions CB Terrion Arnold ArrestedLions cornerback Terrion Arnold has been arrested for allegedly orchestrating a reveng kidnapping and robbery...

Caleb has some growing to do - mainly executing the vanilla offense more efficiently. But anyone claiming he doesnt have "it" isnt watching or is purposely repeating a narrative. If you are a coach, and you have two players that need to improve to chose from, and one is Shane Matthews with a consistent completion percentage, throwing outlet passes for 4 yards a play, and the other is Caleb Williams who needs to learn to play within the offense a little more in the 2nd quarter, and hit the checkdowns a little more often, who do you think can be more easily coached to greatness? LOL Anyone saying Williams isnt the real deal is a moron. Does he have work to do? Of course, but what hes lacking is the easy stuff any QB can learn. He's a smart bet to succeed indeed.
  28. adam replied to Stinger226's topic in Bearstalk
Random thought: Kind of funny that Caleb Williams now owns the single-season Passing Yards record for the franchise and I still see social media posts still questioning if he is the guy (mainly from other teams or media).
