  2. And no one was ever scared of Dayo. We need a difference maker, or several on the D line. It's the glaring need for this team. Imagine us doing all the things we do AND having a pass rush. Then we'd be serious contenders who would be favorited in most games.
  3. I take you to mean that you agree thats our biggest need, but if there is a run on D linemen, and the available players are very substandard for the pick, and some other amazing player is there, we might not pick the D lineman. It's a fair point, with TE instead of OT as one example last year, and Burden as another. Another answer might be to trade down in that scenario. Also, every year the team fills holes with free agents before the draft. Some are starter level some are semi starter level, but you never want to go into the draft with hard needs for the reason you just said. And if that free agent is someone significant, it makes the need to get a starter ready player less, and you can find guys to develop. But one way or another, we are not just gonna shift some bodies around on the D line and go with the same faces as some might say. I believe this is the thing standing between us and a Superbowl (unless we just do it this year anyway LOL) we NEED a pass rush, and you know Johnson knows it too. Theyre gonna do something major, they kind of have to, and if that in turn may cause them to trade players Like Jaylon Johnson, Tremaine Edmunds and/or DJ Moore, that might have to happen. It's not that those players are terrible, not at all, its just we have to get some dollars and picks on that D line because they guys we have now are just not anywhere near good enough. not for where the rest of this team is headed.
  4. All I am saying is everyone that says it is a guarantee the Bears will draft a RD1 DL/DT should keep an open mind. Odds are good that happens but locking it in, never from me.
  5. Kittle didn't practice today, they will be off tomorrow, so we will see what he looks like on Friday.
  6. Dayo may not be ready to contribute. Coming off an achilles rupture, he may never be explosive again. I would also argue against move around pieces. We need positional dogs to create a pass rush.

  10. There's always someone to draft. What the experts may rate as the best may not be. In a redraft, where are teams picking Monangai? Newman looks like he could have been a first year starting OG in the NFL but we picked up top flight players there. He was a 5 th round pick. They will find players. Booker, Turner will be better.
  11. When some people talk about trading players next year, his name comes up a lot. No way BJ is letting this happen. Last week showed why you keep all your weapons, you need them. This doesn't get old https://youtube.com/shorts/877dmv-lvkA?si=1fzGTIoB4McyNBgE
  12. This is a very realistic draft. I think Dayo plays more snaps inside next year and would go 2 DEs instead of 2 DTs. I suspect they get someone that can play both spots to be able to move around pieces.
  13. I know he has inconsistent coverage but so many of his plays have been so clutch it has to stick out to whoever is watching. Watch any CB other than Pat Surtain, They all have bad plays.
  14. This seems like an impossible achievement to beat SF peaking at this time of the year but I just watched impossible. Offensively we have to control the clock, run well and stop the penalties. That puts us in a spot to win. We did it in Philly and we can do it here. Their defense gives up a lot of points and both offenses are scoring 26 points a game.
  15. After I seen Ben rubbing his hands together with an evil grin, I said he has something good brewing with Loveland
  16. Trade back and let someone move up to get a QB on a 5 yr deal.
  17. This is worth the listen if you want to feel good about being a bear's fan. Touches every point.
  18. You bet it was. But remember, teams can take cheap shots at Bear players. Open season. I noticed after the hit that DJ was holding a hand behind his back when he lined up for the play, obviously in a great deal of pain. The guy is tough. He plays through injuries when others would sit. We need to keep guys like this on our team.
  19. I get you. There's always something you hope for, but sometimes have to get best available. Loveland was the guy. He seems like he's going to be a difference maker.
  20. Have to give Poles a lot of credit for the good dudes he has brought in here. DJ, Caleb, Walker, Swift, Monangai, Rome, Loveland, the OL. Find me a ME guy on the team? There isn't one.
  21. What if there isn't any D penetrators worth the value of the pick? That's all im saying. Like the LTs were gone, so TE it was. We get sucked into our major needs, like LT last year, and take a #2 TE who most draft experts had behind Warren. Among our board, TE wasn't mentioned much or at all. That is why I would not bet. I have DT/DE as my target when doing mocks. Read the profiles over and over. The algorithm always has the edges gone but boat loads of QBs.
