  2. The links I saw (looked for after you mentioned this so thank you) all had him doing upper body, and that makes sense, but i dunno where his return is projected at at this point. He does and the Bears do, but we dont for obvious reasons. I just hope its earlier than we think. That would be amazing. In the meanwhile I trust Theo Benedet to hold down the fort. I think they will start with Braxton unless or until he proves that he is still a victim of that bull rush, but personally, I think by week 4 it won't be Jones, and maybe even week 1.

  4. I see the link from X doesnt work but it has him moving pretty good. The sooner he is back the better, we need to get a player established at LT. I am hopeful Braxton, Kiran, or Willis can hold it down and make a name for themselves because we need to get a great start for the line and Caleb.
  5. I really hope so! I think he has a bright future.
  6. When I first read what Schlereth said, I thought "what an idiot" - everyone here knows what a Caleb supporter I am. I think we are looking at an actual star in the making. But then I heard what he meant by the comment, and I have to say I agree with him. Caleb does need to play small ball better, and I expect he will this year. Johnson isnt force feeding the offense and concentrating on footwork now. He will be there focused on exactly this goal. Id bet heavily that it will happen. Now Kyler Murray? No. Thats idiotic. But Caleb, who already excels at the hardest and rarest skills, will now develop the ordinary things that lots of QBs can learn. No reason to think he wont, and when he does he will truly be a top QB, maybe the best. And Schlereth said that too, but it doesnt get repeated as much, because of narratives. And Im no Schlereth supporter either. I dont particularly pay attention to him positively or negatively. But this whole hullabaloo is kind of fake. But Kyler Murray? Ha no that was idiotic.

It wasn’t just the criticism of things Caleb needs to improve. It was the list of QBs in his draft class that Schlereth said are already playing at that high level. Which is complete BS. I watched Bo Nix and he’s not always seeing the field well. He’s quicker to run than Caleb. It’s more of the same with all the QBs in the draft class. He just singled out Caleb.
  8. Schlereth will be exposed as an idiot when Caleb is in the running for league MVP for 2026. Caleb has been quoted as saying that criticism doesn't bother him and that he uses it as motivation. If that is true, with all of the jerks questioning his ability, Caleb should be well motivated.

So Mark Schlereth is making the rounds about how Caleb is a bad QB lol. That his superman plays are what saves him from being a bad QB. I think this is absolutely laughable. He just finished his 2nd year in the NFL, had a terrible coaching staff his rookie year, was getting sacked a ton, etc. Does he need to improve, for sure, but it's literally 3-4 total throws a game and he is magically an all-pro. There is no way he could put up stats like in the first post if he was "bad" or even mediocre. Just funny how some media guys that have some personal beef with him will go down with the ship instead of just admitting they were wrong.
  11. Ozzy Trapilo working on his strength. No braces on the knee. Good chance he can be activated mid season. https://x.com/i/status/207309857460166

    Pertinent
  16. Shows you how bad our evaluators were over 40 years. Coach, QB and Oline is what it takes.

Which is crazy to think about. Kramer was the last Bears QB to finish in the top 10 in Passing Yards (1995) since Caleb who finished 7th last year. He was 106 yards away from already being in the top 5. A funny fact is Rex Grossman finished 12th one year, which was higher than Cutler did in any season he played for the Bears (13th twice).
  18. I think those numbers will be his baseline from here on out. He would have had that if you eliminated drops, penalties, or miscommunication. We might have a top 5 this year and top 2 next as he and BJ learn.
  19. Comparing QBs closest to Williams in 2024-2025: Herbert 672-1016, 66.1%, 7597 yds, 49 TD, 16 INT, 804 Rush Yards, Years 5-6 (within 114 passing yards, 2 TD) Mahomes 707-1083, 65.3%, 7515 yds, 48 TD, 22 INT, 729 Rush Yards, Years 8-9 (within 32 passing yards, 1 TD) Williams 681-1130, 60.3%, 7483 yds, 47 TD, 13 INT, 877 Rush Yards, Years 1-2 Allen 626-943, 66.4%, 7399 yds, 53 TD, 16 INT, 1110 Rush Yards, Years 7-8 (within 6 TD) The biggest difference is that Williams was a rookie in 2024 with Flus as HC. Considering that, his being already in the mix with this group of QBs is a great sign. Mahomes and Allen are annual MVP Candidates, and Herbert has started to be put in that conversation. I honestly think Williams starts becoming a perennial 4K / 30 TD QB.
  20. It is exciting that we have a talented prospect to build the line around. I'd be happy if we continue with adding a guard that can learn a year under Thuney/Jackson. Of course if we get a shot at a top prospect LT, that would be the cherry on top, but those are slim opportunities.

Couldnt find the original Logan Jones thread, so here's a new one. Found this. Love this guy. https://x.com/CFCBears/status/2012736330216718445
  22. Awesome, let me know if you have any other questions. Yeah lol, I was a SoxTalk transplant.
  23. Excellent! Thank you sir.
  24. Yahoo actually finally recognized me, LOL. Before, it was acting as if I was unauthorized to make changes. Now it allowed me to change my email addy, Team Name (Caleb's Nail Salon), and logo (Now you can finally see who you have been talking to for over 2 decades. ;-)
  25. Try this for email: My Team > Edit Team Info > Preferences Tab > Email Preferences > Preferred Email Address (Edit) I see your name and new team name associated with that team, not my info. For logo and name, are you saying you can't access it here: My Team > Edit Team Info > Name and Logo Tab That is where I can change mine; the only access I have to your team is the invite and the roster for keepers.
  26. Late September in Chicago is gorgeous. Usually perfect weather.
  27. Thanks. I was trying to change the email address Yahoo uses to send notifications, but it will not allow me to do so without explanation. I think it is because it is showing what I believe is your email address for my team. Could you please change it for me or tell me how? I'm also getting an error when I try to change the image for the team logo (I need to change my team name, I didn't check names already used before I edited. Sorry.)
  28. Been awhile since I was last in Chicago but what kinda weather should we expect in late September? Kinda remember it having a more traditional autumn timeframe there (we don’t). Wife was curious as she tends to run cold.
