  1. Past hour
  2. Through Week 3 PFF Grades: Williams 78.1 (10th) Maye 71.2 (12th) Daniels 71.0 (14th) Penix 51.4 (26th) Nix 44.6 (28th)/ 28 eligible Caleb is now 9th in Passing Yards, T-1st in Passing TDs, 6th in Passer Rating, 9th in Y/A, 9th in EPA/DB, 9th in QBR, and 12 QBs have taken more sacks than him.
  3. Top 5 OFF and DEF PFF Grades: Burden - 93.0 Loveland - 88.7 Odunze - 77.8 Williams - 76.8 Dalman - 76.4 4 guys on rookie deals and a guy you just signed to a long-term deal. That is what I like to see. Dexter - 83.6 Edmunds - 83.4 Stevenson - 79.8 Robinson - 74.1 Sweat - 72.7 Nice to see 2 Edge players and 3 total from the trenches on there. Billings and Odeyingbo were 7th and 8th.
  4. Today
  5. After the the 9.17 minute drive, I felt more comfortable but was jumpy before that. I think they were all in.
  6. Did anyone else notice the Bears with a 17-point lead in the 4th quarter get a bit nervous?
  7. What I really enjoyed, is that this board went silent during the game. It says everything about what we treasure...
  8. Yeah in 1 or 2 more games, Williams will have the best numbers for their careers of every QB in his class outside of Daniels rushing numbers. He already has the best Year 2 numbers by a wide margin.
  9. We are never as bad as our worst game or as good as our best game but we are slowly getting the Ben Johnson offense progressing to what it will end up being. I think after the bye week, things will start being consistent. The defense has a lot of injuries which affects its performance but this game was more physical and the turnovers showed up. The Cowboys defense was bad but no one is condemning what their offense is capable of. The turnovers killed them . If our offense scores first it takes teams out of their running game of which we are still bad at it. Gordon and Edwards will help a lot when they get back.
  10. 1.3 mil dead cap / save 7.5 mil
  11. Well said and it could have been 5 if not for the drop by Rome. They still left some plays on the field too - but that was fun. Still work to do but fun to see them growing. Pass rush is still struggling and to his credit Stevenson played a good game. With JJ and all the other injuries, they really need Stevenson to step up and elevate his game.
  12. Dude has terrible vision. Should probably have another 50+ yds this year. What’s the cap hit if he’s cut at the end of the year?
  13. Bears are now 11th in yards and 9th in ppg (25.3) on offense, btw.
  14. ESPN has him at 67.2 QBR on the season now. It's only been 3 games, but he's clearly been the best QB of his class to start the season. I still don't think Drake Maye is any good. He's benefited from a cakewalk schedule against soft defenses in these first few games, yet New England is still 1-2 with Caleb out performing him.
  15. I noticed this info posted in an article on NFL.com. Any good news is worth posting after what we've been through the first two weeks. 😉
  16. Week 3 - Williams - 86.6 QBR - 298 yds, 4 TD, 0 INT, 0 sacks, and 12 rushing yds. 310 Total Yards. Won. / Season QBR: 67.0 Maye - 59.5 QBR - 268 yds. 2 TD, 1 INT, 5 sacks, and 45 rushing yds and 1 Fumble. 333 Total Yards. Lost. / Season QBR: 57.3 Nix - 38.5 QBR - 153 yds, 1 TD, 0 INT, 2 sacks, and 33 rushing yds. 186 Total Yards. Lost. / Season QBR: 41.6 Penix - 12.4 QBR - 172 yds, 0 TD, 2 INT, 0 sacks, and 9 rushing yds. 181 Total Yards. Lost. / Season QBR: 47.7 Daniels - DNP / Season QBR: 38.9 McCarthy - DNP / Season QBR: 20.5 (Last in NFL) 3 straight games for Williams with improvement to Comp%, Y/A, TD, and QB Rating. ------- Week 1 > 2 > 3 Comp% - 60% > 63.3% > 67.9% Y/A - 6.0 > 6.9 > 10.6 Pass TD - 1 > 2 > 4 QB Rating - 86.6 > 91.9 > 142.6 Don't look now, Williams is on pace for 4,051 passing yards, 40 Passing TD, 6 INT. He would have 3,812 thru 16 games. So he even has a shot to break Kramer's team record of 3,838 in the same number of games, and also hit 4K in the same year. Very promising. Now we need to stack weeks like this. Over 20 games, the top 3 QBs in the 2024 class, TD/INT: Nix 34 TD, 15 INT Daniels 28 TD, 9 INT Williams 27 TD, 7 INT Nix only has 46 more passing yards than Williams, who are now 1-2 in Passing Yards.
  17. First game I didn't wear a bears shirt. I think I need to stick to this. Next week is Vegas, so odds we have a huge chance to get back to 500. The players need to know this is the expected every week.
  18. Don't look now, but Caleb Williams is tied for the league lead in passing touchdowns (7). Bears caught a much needed break with the Lamb injury, but the offense did exactly what they were supposed to do against a bad defense. Feels good to finally get this one off their backs—especially against Eberflus. Luther Burden looks like the real deal. Rome has to knock it off with the drops, though. Way too many, despite his 4 touchdowns.
  19. Yesterday
  20. Yeah Bears receivers still leaving some plays on the field. Even with those drops, there have only been 22 other times in NFL history where a QB threw 4 TDs with no INTs or Sacks, with a Y/A over 10.0 and under 30 attempts. Williams was the 23rd time.
  21. That game is what it’s like when you watch the good teams. Dennis Allen gets a ton of credit for that defensive effort because early on it looked ugly but he adjusted. Caleb looked good but hasn’t even reached his ceiling yet.
  22. That was an excellent game to help silence the critics, although I'm sure some will continue their "Bears Hate." I must add: As big a fan as I am of Rome, he has to stop dropping passes that hit him in the hands. and... I must say that I've never seen so many players slamming their helmets into the turf as I did today. (Grin) and... Jerry Jones looked really pissed. I swear I saw him almost say "F**k" before he noticed he was on camera. (Grin, Grin)
  23. I think a big key may have been Johnson holding players accountable for all the mistakes the first two weeks. Much better on the penalties .
  24. 0 sacks taken, 0 INTs, 4 TDs and a ton of explosive plays. This offense hasn't even scratched the surface yet.
