I dont think you intended anything by this statement, but it does come across with an arrogant tone. Two people can look at something and not have the exact same opinion. All 22 gets you a chance to watch more plays but it doesnt make people better at watching film. People can still disagree on a particular block or mistake. I take in everyone's opinion and then form my own that doesnt mean we will all agree the same. (So, if we are all superiorly informed, then we can all agree more? Thank you. I would think Benedet would be better inside too. Just thinking team wise were they all fit roster wise. Be an interesting cut down

i disagree, but since theyre both full of warts, I can see how some might go the other way. But in no way am I saying Benedet is completely solid. I see it too. I just think Jones is worse, not that Benedet is great.

After Jones went out (after the 3rd series?) the Benedet played LT for a while. He also had some not so great moments. We really need Trapilo back, and you're right we need him to come back and stay back, so they need to be sure with him. As for who whould be the LT int he meanwhile? I'll take Benedet, others like Jones better. And we will probably see what Ben thinks unless Trapilo starts the season.

Stinger, do you have any keepers? Also, same for Chad and Mike? The Keeper Deadline was today, but I will extend until Wednesday to give you guys a few extra days.

Any means of getting them to me. Just trying to lock them in so everyone can pre-draft rank their players. Hard to do if 5+ GMs all keep RBs and you don't take that into account.

I didn't say that because we need guard help. Theo seems like he would be a good one and he sucks at tackle.

Benedet needs to spend time at G.

Special teams and pass pro are what teams need as a #3. Seen a tweet that dont be surprised if the Bears take a #3 RB after camp cuts.

Also I’d take Wills over Benedet for the swing tackle. I have no doubt Theo has him beat on the run blocking but last year that took the entire Oline 6 weeks into the season to get down. No reason to think Wills won’t benefit in the same way from more time. A couple folks are commenting that Wills looked good at RT. I think that gets decided in the next game. I can see a world where they keep Wills as primary backup out of the gate with Ozzy also on the 53 and focused on reps at LT. If nobody takes him Theo goes to practice squad.

I think I’m choosing Ahmed as RB3 over Roschon. He seemed to play with more quickness and burst this week. I don't know if he’s still getting into shape from his injury or if it was just my perception. Regardless he gets 3 to 5 yards more than Roschon on any given play. I’m sure Roschon will win in pass pro but if you want a back for 3rd and long it’s Ahmed.

What I saw (sans all 22 😉) was Jones get dominated on a few plays. Admittedly I didn’t watch the whole game from end to end but there were a few times I saw Jones getting pushed back like he was on roller skates. And I think at that point it was against the Bengals 2s or 3s…so yeah. I’ve always liked Braxton and wish he’d rise to the occasion but alas, it appears he’s peaked in his ability. Benedet, I think, was playing guard (??) late in the game and looked …. Meh. I hope Trapilo is the answer for the left side and really (more importantly) hope he doesn’t rush back but becomes the foundation for years to come.

Just think if Eberflus never ran into Kirans dad at the golf course. We probably never draft him. I am happy that era is over but those draft mistakes take a toll and years to recover from.

Still watching with the clicker. Kiran is just always playing at 3/4 speed. I don’t see how that would ever survive inside where things happen quicker. Number 38 on defense is cut worthy as soon as he gets off the plane.

I expected a bad game - but that was real bad. Our first string defense has been cooked in the two drives it played and we saw a ton of overall sloppiness…including what seems like some increased sloppiness from the offense in practice. I hope we see them respond strong and coaches use it to push right buttons to ensure team is ready to roll. LTs both seem to suck - Theo has some potential given how raw he was to start his career but we need to see progress otherwise he is still the clear number 2b and a solid swing tackle. Braxton is a clear 2a - basically meaning we don’t have a true starter. Kiran and Jedrick are worse - both probably cut candidates unless someone sees Kiran as a guard candidate. Trapillo plan has to be to have ready for 2nd quarter of the season - presuming he will be on IR first 4 weeks but hopefully able to practice with team and be getting reps.

On further review. Jordan VFB looks like he’ll be the real deal. Lynch and Kromah returned to baseline anonymous status. I still like Loving. He’s quick and strong. at DE I agree that Dayo looked better but not special. Given the recovery from injury he might turn into a better player than the one we saw last year. Dexter definitely is if the line quicker. I like our new center Jones. I think he’s going to be very good for us. He’s very good on convo blocks peeling off quickly to his second target. Theo was just bad at LT. Braxton is just Braxton but that’s an upgrade over Theo.

LT watch. We didn't have yesterday. Braxton would set nicely then not adjust. He was worse than I'd ever seen him. You can tell that he doesn't love what he does. Theo gave more effort, but was also terrible. I would be interested to see PFF grades on them. My desire, at this point, is that they don't rush Ozzy back and risk his health. Hoping for a good performance from one of them next week.

Today was Keeper Declaration Day. Being a newbie, I have to ask what might be silly questions. Do we post them in this thread, or is there a way to do so on the Team Yahoo pages? I assume that once all declarations are made, rosters are cleared except for keepers? Player pool adjusted? For what it is worth, I have decided not to keep any players from last year's roster. I will start with a clean slate.

Training camp. Long days with little rest in between. Team on the road. Now they get to do it again this week.
