YES. I dont initiate any of this. Please lets have some moderation here, or tell us that we are free to fight nasty. Im not gonna keep taking this nonsense year after year and then be punished when I simply defend myself. I only want to talk about football. My recent crime is that i suggested that people might want to know the all 22 is only $80. That and that I suggested the a chip block is more effective at containing the rusher from going outside than helping on a bull rush. Seriously, we are either going to clean this up now, or Im gonna roll up my sleeves and go for it. I would VASTLY prefer the former.

Bears vs. Bengals
OK board, are we gonna devolve into fighting now, and then youre all gonna blame me again or is someone gonna tell this rude simp to behave himself? Pix, I got a weeks band for saying an idea was "stupid" - what does the tampon comment get someone here? I will go the speed of traffic, if this board is gonna be rough, then ill be rough too. But Im sick of taking this nonsense and then being punished when I respond? So this time Im asking a mod or someone to either put a stop to it, or tell me I am free to return fire. Which is it?

Can you both please stop. Your like that movie Grumpy Old Men, we already seen that years ago.

Saw that too. Cronin says ‘nothing too worrisome’. What I had seen was he removed a brace when going to the sideline. Didn’t realize he was nursing an injury (torn UCL - Ulnar Collateral Ligament - back of elbow) from last season.

Back to making stupid comments. Stick to football. If it was just me you have problems with, I get that because you dont like me , but you have butt heads with several other people that does not involve me. At some point you need to self evaluate or just continue to butt heads with several people.

Could you move to 9? Or check with everyone

I explained it to you, so you must be hard-headed or butt hurt. I've both played this technique and coached it. Go change your tampon.

Bears vs. Bengals
if the player is getting a bull rush, and cant handle it, then the chip isnt really going to help. If a player is getting around the LT to the outside, then a chip is much more effective. You certainly must know this, so youre either a troll or a dumbass - which is it?

you know what? Stop worrying so much about my state of mind. i obviously live rent free in yours. Why not just talk about Football? Do you love me or something?

Waiting for word on Darnell’s injury.

That might be better than handing Poles a 3rd rounder that he likes to bobble. Heck, even a team like the Eagles who like to buy decent low cost DTs might be interested. They trade a 4th and then get a 3rd comp pick if he tears it up on a stacked defensive line.
-

He may get some safety help, but he damn sure isn't getting LT help. Best bet is a 4th round pick

Just in a couple preseason games, we see a 6th round rookie creating more havoc than Dexter has. Not that Dexter is a bad player, just doesn't fit what Allen wants. Maybe rejoin Eberflus in SF or Cunningham in Atlanta to help repay the Bears for losing the comp picks.

Dexter for a starting-quality safety or Left OT would be nice. If draft capital, I wouldn't let him go cheap (day 2 pick +). If the Bears weren't planning to sign him next year (I'm sure he will want big $$$), then trade him if the compensation makes us a better team. That could give VDB a chance to start.

My normal thought process is keep good players if we are actually going to make a SB run. I watch Greg Gabriel regularly and he mentioned after we picked up several DTs, that Dexter doesnt really fit DAs defense and could be traded. I rejected the thought but, for this to function how DA wants to play his D, it makes sense. Dont know if they do, but he doesnt have a high ceiling, so why not.

I mentioned earlier that the Bears could trade Gervin Dexter. Looks like rumors about the possibility are starting to swirl. A. He doesn't quite fit the Bears DT profile size and ability. B. They signed and drafted guys that do fit and have options. Jarrett, Gallimore, Linch, Street, Van Den Berg, and Dayo/Turner can slide inside. C. His contract is up and they most likely do not renew it due to (A. and B.) So the Bears might be feeling out what the market is. Be nice to get a 3rd from a team looking to improve now.

Even when Ozzy returns he has a long way to go to be above average, but at least has a high ceiling.

TBH, Im not sure Davenport makes the team if Kromah and lynch play well. Lynch and swing out and in . I read where he was liked where ever he played, he has a constant motor.

The coaches will give us who is playing better and who isnt. Like you I think Jones starts until Ozzy is ready. I think they played Benedet at LT to see if he can be the swing T. Wills still has to prove himself, we could just go with 3 Ts if Ozzy is back early. There's a crowded room at WR and DT so they may use the extra roster spot for other positions.

This is interesting. Last week Dennis Allen was clear when guys start playing well you want to see them against better competition. Gallimore hasn’t looked good in either game. I think VDB is already the clear DT3 and rising. DT4? We kept Hardy around last year for special teams. Kromah has outplayed him at DE.

It seems to be, you are the only one that keeps score on opinions. AND like normal you twist things I say to push whatever narrative you wish for an example. As soon as we drafted Caleb, I was all in on him, you keep referring to Justin Fields sucks. I try to support players on the team and HOPE they get better, you like to be a critic and criticize . Why are you always bringing up the past? No one cares what someone's opinion was two or three years ago. I think we have a chance to make a SB run possibly this year. This is a time to enjoy this team, not post a report card .

Gone Amegadjie is from the OT competition. I’ll still be the sole outsider because I don’t think it’s over for OT3 either
-
Bears vs. Bengals
It does. If the weakness is handling speed to power rushes then chip early and take the edge off the speed. If the OT, like Ozzy, is susceptible to speed around the edge then chip off the line forcing the DE to a narrower lane. Ben did a ton of that to help Ozzy last year. Sometimes it was even done by WRs. Add in play design with rollouts, jet sweeps to keep them guessing, screens, etc Lots of options within a play which is why the Internet panic over the LT situation is overblown IMO. We have two or three average meh options and maybe one good option in Ozzy when he returns. Now if we were trying to cover up two or three weaknesses on the line as in years past then yes, I’d be worried This is also why Darnell got so much money. He can handle his side all on his own.

Bears vs. Bengals
Again, a chip is a chip. If the tackle knows a chip is coming. He simply sets his block in a way that allows the TE or RB to get a piece. IE: it doesn't matter what the tackles weakness is. All-22 doesn't explain this?

Bears vs. Bengals
LOL atrocious! Its like an old keystone cops comedy LOL But the good news is that Logan Jones is going to be a player for us. I like his attitude, and in time I think he's going to be a monster.
