  1. Today
  2. All year it’s been kind of the same. Flashes of brilliance mixed with horrific accuracy and suspect mechanics. I keep waiting for a huge, breakout game. A ridiculous game that displays why he was the #1 pick. Something that shows him carrying the team instead of just being part of it. Then one or two fairly dominating games where he puts up big stats. Hell, even Shadeur Sanders had one today. So how long is his leash? He’s clearly not performing like a #1 pick when missing simple throws and obvious reads. The last play of the game was a brutal demonstration of both. He made the read very late when the WR was wide open. Then made a weak throw with poor anticipation. And to make things worse, DJ leaked out on an underneath route wide open. He would have walked in for a TD. So, again, how long is his leash?
  3. Thats why I say forget them when the contracts are up. Cole Kmet plays for his money, Gordon/Johnson dont. Im tired of soft tissue injuries being a drain on our season. Yes, ours as we invest in them. Draft well and let them go.
  4. Groin. I suspect he's going to be out for the year. Can't get rid of him with that contract, unfortunately. It is ironic how he all of a sudden misses the most games of his career after signing the extension. If I remember correctly, he didn't show up for most of the voluntary OTA's in the off-season. Based on the injuries, I have my doubts as to how much hard work he put into his body to be ready for a long season.
  5. He's coming off major surgery. Being on a snap count can sometimes throw you off rhythm. As he continues to get snaps, the expectations should grow. Gordon is the one to worry about. People who, supposedly, get injured in pregame warmups don't want to play. CJ Gardner is not the answer. I saw a tremendous amount of undisciplined play from him today.
  6. Yeah from what I saw today he and Brisker can be cut loose. Unfortunately JJ appears to be going backwards and getting into lazy mode. Or he’s more injured more than we know.
  7. Im done with him. I would not resign a drafted player anymore. New England them. They get their money and are soft.
  8. Probably done for the season. I presume it was his hammy/another soft tissue injury?
  9. What I noticed today was whether by design or by Caleb ad-libbing, he’s cutting the field in half each time he rolls out (which was a lot). Early on there were a few plays where a lone receiver was one on one with a defender and relatively open for space on the opposite side. Later on the defenders were cheating to the side Caleb would roll out to because they knew he’d never look that way. Why they didn’t stick to the β€˜game manager’ setting with the west coast offense is beyond me .
  10. 100% agree. It’s like he can’t see the easy button. Just take the 4-5 yards and be happy.
  11. Yes. Tough loss, but this team seems to learn from their mistakes. We had the puckers in our hand in the second half and it slipped away. We will see what happens the next four games.
  12. I’d love for someone to analyze the all-22 of this one. I saw 3-4 times where Caleb just didn’t see or hit an open receiver. I just don’t understand why every throw has to be difficult. Other than the soft toss to Loveland, nearly all throws are rockets. Meanwhile, Love is just tossing rainbows into spots with deadly accuracy. Caleb reminds me of the saying, β€œIt is only when mosquito land on your balls that you realize there is a way to solve problems without using [force].”
  13. I didn't hate the playcall, but Caleb was the one who screwed it up by not just running for the first down when he had the angle. There were at least 3 or 4 of those kinds of plays in the 2nd half where he constantly made the wrong decision on when to run and when to throw. He's just not very smart, situationally.
  14. Both times the offense comes up huge in the second half. Cutting it to 3 and then tying it at 21. Both followed up by giving up an easy score. That last play do was open and even if he keeps it and runs it ha would have easily converted.
  15. Ben going for the win, pretty sure if we scored we were going for 2. I like that. With no pass rush we're not going deep into the playoffs. So just throw it all out there. This year is so different with clear changes for the better in the 2nd half on offense. We have definitely closed the gap with the playoff contenders. Now we need the icing on top.
  16. Every time, I called what the Bears would do. Johnson does not count on his line and backs to get 1 yard. Has to be cute and call a roll out and caleb slide early.
  17. Next week DET plays Rams GB goes to Mile High to play Denver We get Cleveland at Home Need to put this one behind us. We can still take our division.
  18. Good adjustments but not the best called game for Johnson. Running game got hot, had GB on their heels then you get too cute.
  19. Disagree. The offense was total ass in the first half, and 186 yds passing just won’t cut it in the NFL. Caleb has to improve his accuracy and stop with all the wild angles, off balance throws, and terrified scrambling in the pocket. His inaccuracy is what’s holding the team back from being truly dangerous.
  20. Yup. Right in his line of sight too. 🀬 oh well, try again in two weeks.
  21. Shame we couldn't get in the end zone. Enjoyed the game. It shows we are close, and wouldn't have thought this at the start of the year. DJ Moore might have been the better choice.
