  1. Today
  2. Yeah my sister (who lives in Colorado) sent me the link in the story. What’s even weirder is he apparently did it while lining up the ball for the game winning FG. Agreed (regards to durability). It only takes one play to turn the tide. Just think about Brady’s pretty significant knee injury (partially torn ACL and MCL)in 2008 and he still managed to win 4 more Super Bowls after that.
  3. As much as it pains me to think this, NE may have an unobstructed path to yet another SB. They are killing it on both sides of the game. What equally causes me angst is admitting Mongo was right about Maye. 😣
  4. Wow, never saw that, that leads me to say, Caleb is a very durable QB over the last two years. Especially last year with given up all those sacks.
  5. Whether it belongs here or not, sad to see Nix go out with a “broken ankle”. Weird that he was able walk off where TJ had to be carted off. Why I’m sus TJs isn’t a more severe injury . https://apnews.com/article/broncos-bo-nix-broken-ankle-nfl-playoffs-b61840b6221f3ece7efb33814b00c6b4
  6. Pritzker has actually been the main holdup. The Chicago mayor has been desperate to help. Under Pritzkers leadership the Bears were told nothing would be considered in 2026. Both of them are bloviating grandstanders though. Windy City to the core.
  7. Ha! You think today’s weather in Chicago might be a factor in how well LA plays? Add in an extra 3-4 hour plane ride from Seattle.
  8. Outsider looking in, I see this more as Bears management (mostly Kevin Warren) shrewdly trying to get what they want and what’s in the best interest in the team. In the little reading up I did, Pritzker sounds like he’s been negotiating with good faith (at least outwardly) which includes public support to either expand or build at Arlington. I also see the Mayor of Chicago might be more of a blockade than Pritzker. At any rate, if you consider how long ago Warren was hired and how long this has been going on, this is ultimately his sole purpose. It’s also worthy to note that there was specter of loss for when he was helping negotiate a new stadium for Minnesota. It was brought up that perhaps LA would be a better venue for the Vikings. Allegedly Warren was able to ‘negotiate the tensions of possible relocation’ during stalled legislative negotiations and instead was able to secure public-private funding on the Vikings improvement . https://www.espn.com/blog/minnesota-vikings/post/_/id/19466/vikings-new-stadium-owes-a-debt-to-dennis-green
  9. And their #1 pick, Golden, didn’t score a TD all season until the playoffs. ‘He who laughs last, laughs longest.’
  10. Yes. Not only do you get the lake effect, you get the surrounding area. No more egress problems. The stadium can be built any way they want. Tailgating will be off the chain. The surrounding blocks will be 100% entertainment based. The game experience will become a weekend long event. Nobody does this stuff better than the Hoosier State!
  11. I finally found this. On draft day the ESPN Packers draft group was laughing because we drafted Loveland instead of Tyler Warren. It's 30 seconds you need to see this.
  12. I understand your sentiment but it hasn't affected the legacy of other NFL teams and several fall in that group. Living in Illinois our government has major issues on how they spend money. I think just wanting infrastructure upgrades for teams is just normal operating procedure. Chicago and the state don't deserve this team at this time. I'm going to be a bear's fan if they moved to Alaska. At 73 I don't go to live games anymore during cold weather and would expect Indiana to do a better job creating around a new stadium. Have been to Indiana for several concerts and Indy, always a good experience. You still have the lake Michigan effect in NWI. Can't be any worse going to NWI than going to a White Sox game.
  13. Glad the health of your wife is all good news. I can't bet against the bears especially this year but to many national people are picking the bears. That always bothers me. A couple of national media that I like picking the bears, Brandt and Rollins.
  14. No kidding, they brutalized the 49ers. So today I was pulling for Buffalo and SFO to win, and both lost. As long as the Bears win and advance to the conference final, I'm celebrating! What an amazing year!
  15. I dont see how they can. Illinois better take notice. The way this state is ran, they will force them to remove Chicago from their name or tax them for it.
  16. So much for having a home game next week if we get there. The 49ers are getting kicked in the balls tonight.
  17. Reports/speculation say guys his size are hard recoveries if at all. Since its a rupture, we might luck out. Until they come out with an update, we will be on the edge of our seats. The updates I get on X while in Costa Rica seem fake, so maybe im reading bad info. Here is some good news, KC rookie LT Josh Simmons had a similiar injury Oct 2024 and was the starting LT game 1.
  18. Why do you say coin flip? They repair patellar tendons all the time.
  19. Indiana has offered to purchase the land and build the stadium to the Bear's specifications. The Bears take years to pay off the stadium, then own it in full. While the Bears pay for the stadium, they pay no taxes. Illinois can't compete...
  20. Bo Nix breaks his ankle 2nd to last play, hes done. Probably the Broncos too Stidholm is the back up.
  21. Man, LT Ozzy Trapilo was a freaking diamond. Sucks his chances of playing again is like a coin flip. I pray it isn't as bad and he can return to form. With that said, do they draft another. Develop Theo and Kiran more. Resign Braxton... move Thuney until they have a solution. I am glad we have options, but losing a LT prospect that thrived sucks.
  22. The Jets and Giants are in New Jersey, not New York.....there is a long lost of teams no longer in the city the say. I hate seeing tax payers foot the bill too, but at least the Bears are only asking for surrounding infrastructure from Illinois.
  23. I agree with your sentiments in terms of politics and taxes related to the move, but I’m speaking more philosophically. If the team is not in Chicago it’s not the Chicago Bears.
  24. Interesting. I think they are preparing just in case, but maybe they go Thuney LT if they win after or cant stop Verse.
