  2. I seen Monangai returned this week as well. Need a healthy running game all year.
  3. Booker returned to practice today. A good sign that he may be ready by week one.
  4. What are the rules regarding this league's Injured Reserve slots? I've never played in a fantasy league offering IR slots.

As Poles and Johnson have previously stated, the locker room knows. Players that want to be part of the team outwardly show it. The way the brass is handling Gordon is warning other NFL teams. Buyer beware.
  7. Stinger226 replied to AZ54's topic in Bearstalk
I thought someone asked Poles and he was working out at the training camp staff? Now maybe that is just recently and why people are noticing him around but wasnt before. I never like to rag on injured players. For anyone that has played before some play with aches and pains and some dont. He has always been a team guy before but has had some nagging injures . Clearly brass in not liking the situation but he is here this year because of the cap hit to get rid of him. No one is trading for a big money player not on the field.

I remember being surprised he made the trip to Cincy when others were left behind to rehab. This video proves the Bears point that he is willing to do things on his own but not with the training staff. While Poles didn’t say that outright he alluded to it.

The PR on this aint great, and the Bears could say something but they choose not to which is a big sign. I mean i dont know anything about whats goin gon, but if you believe in the Bears, then it doesnt look good on Gordon. At the same time the talent is undeniable. If he comes back and plays well, i suspect we will trade him and he could well have a resurgence on another team, which is fine as long as we get something good in trade for him. It's too bad, because he is so good when he plays, but I dont think its so easy to earn Ben Johnson's trust after all of this. Kyler has to get back on the field and ball out no matter which scenario it ends up being. If not, he's out of the NFL pretty fast, and then, dude, no one is gonna care about your podcast. He's made enough money that he never has to work again, maybe he has Nate Davis vibes. i dunno. But the team is moving on without him whatever it is, and no matter how good he is - and he IS - it doesnt matter if youre not on the field. It's baffling, frustrating, and obnoxious.

I was waiting for this thread. Fireworks and popcorn could follow. I hope his intentions are to be the best and wish he took the route the Bears wanted. But that did not happen and IG posts about going to Paris for fashion bring back a taste Bears fans haven't forgotten.

He’s doing sprints / makes you wonder if frustration with Bears is - they look at that and see someone who should be on field but he just isn’t there or isn’t quiet willing to trust his body to make that final push. Clearly he is not aligned with the staff. I actually was glad to see this video cause it in some way shows a bit of a fight back like hey I do care and I am working…which is more than I could say about Nate Davis.

One day After Poles kicked him to the curb Kyler send out this video. I don’t think this means he’s close to returning I just find it odd he’s training in bare feet https://bearswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/bears/2026/09/02/bears-kyler-gordon-rehab-training-calf-injury/91581753007/
  13. Yesterday

  14. In the ‘because we have to wait 11 more days before the season starts, why not’ category; Zavion apparently swapped from 81 to 13. And in case you care to know; Kaden Davis swapped to Davis' old number (81), Clark Phillips is now #20, Xavior Woods 32 and Scotty Miller went with 82.

Never heard that and never heard of Street even getting snaps with the ones.

I haven’t been that enamored with Hightower. I don’t think he’s bad but he’s not one of the best.
  17. I found it interesting that we have 7 rookies draft picks and 7 UDFAs hanging around. 53-PS-IR. Usually when you start winning you have less turnover. https://www.ourlads.com/nfldepthcharts/depthchart/CHI
  18. Maybe they need a top ST coach, but even having one, Dave Toub, the Bears brought in specialists like Branden Ayanbadjeo, Blake Constanzo, McManis. Even Hester was basically ST only. I know what you mean that having players be good position players goes further than buying ST only guys.
  19. Stinger226 replied to Stinger226's topic in Bearstalk
I listen to Hoge and Jahans that had Stacy Dales on there and she said someting interesting. With Dexter gone, she said she thought K Street would be starting next to Jarrett now that he had the best camp of the DTs. Anyone else heard that ? I realize JVB and Loving has gotten all the press.

At some point I expect these “great” coaches to coach up some of this young talent to replace his performance for less money. if you’re going to pay for a special teams ace IMO they should be an elite coverage player who can consistently shut down returns and/or returner. Or that player should be better capable as a backup at a primary position. The bigger concern is we’re carrying two of these special teams aces in Blackwell and Hardy. Neither plays well at their primary position. That lack of depth at both positions impacted the defense last year.
  21. Last week

  22. Given Hardy is one of their best ST'ers, I can't imagine they plan on moving him to the practice squad.
  23. AZ54 replied to adam's topic in Bearstalk
Hardy can go on the practice squad.
  24. Bringing in Christian Jones/OT instead of bringing back Wills or Kiran( got picked up) speaks volumes to what they thought of those two. With Lynch coming back that gives us 6 DTs. Now Lynch and Street can move outside but we have 5 DEs on the roster. I would suspect someone is going to the PS , Loving?
  25. adam replied to adam's topic in Bearstalk
Yeah, I forgot players from external teams can't be announced until today. So they will be on there, plus a few more.
  26. AZ54 replied to adam's topic in Bearstalk
That’s a decent group. Several WR options that could contribute in a pinch I definitely expected Alexander would be in that group. I wonder if the deal with Davenport was always about the practice squad. He’s known Dennis Allen for a long time. If both parties accept he won’t play a full season then he’s hanging around for the final push into the playoffs. The RB from Minn is a clear backup for Roschon. Ahmed backs up Swift/monangai
  27. Looking at best available free agents still out there, there are some interesting names that might be calling. Poles FA splash a few years ago Larry Ogunjobi, Leonard Floyd, Adoree Jackson. We really don't have the cap available, but if there's a guy, they can get creative.
  28. I believe the practice squad is 16 players. 17 if you have an international player. 6 of the 16 can be veterans. 2 players can be elevated each week without having to clear waivers up to 3 games, they have to remain on active roster or be waived. The practice squad rules changed in 2020.
  29. adam replied to adam's topic in Bearstalk
Looks like with Christian Jones and Zavier Scott signing from external teams, there is at least one odd man out on the original 11-resignings. Could also be someone else going on IR and opening up a roster spot.
