http://www.virtualsportsnetwork.com/2009/0...-10-screenshot/ What do you think? I love the realistic player models, in years past the QB's are the same size as LB's and their arms look like hocks of ham. The player sizes look more realistic. Also notice the refs, chain gang, stuff on sidelines, I am not sure of EVERY new feature there is but Peter Moore & EA said 6 can be seen in the screenshot.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/8230678.stm Poland has been holding a day of commemorations to mark the 70th anniversary of the outbreak of World War II. Leaders from 20 countries laid candles during a ceremony near Gdansk. Earlier, Polish President Lech Kaczynski criticised the former Soviet Union over responsibility for the war. His words added to an ongoing row with Moscow, although Russian PM Vladimir Putin said he hoped the two countries could settle their differences. Mr Kaczynski said Poland had received a "stab in the back" from the former Soviet Union when it invaded and occupied the east of the country as the German army was advanci…

Per the AP story this morning: WASHINGTON — Al-Qaida supporters suggested in a Web site message this week they would welcome a pre-election terror attack on the U.S. as a way to usher in a McCain presidency. The message, posted Monday on the password-protected al-Hesbah Web site, said if al-Qaida wants to exhaust the United States militarily and economically, "impetuous" Republican presidential candidate Sen. John McCain is the better choice because he is more likely to continue the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. "This requires presence of an impetuous American leader such as McCain, who pledged to continue the war till the last American soldier," the messag…

I told Mad Lith some time back that I would write this so here up to this point is what I have. I have been a resident of Wasilla (the town she was Mayor of) for about 3 years now. All told I have lived up here for just over 30 years. I lived in Anchorage for awhile but when my wife and I went to buy a house things were too expensive so we looked to the "Valley" as an alternative. Wasilla is in that area and is and was growing. See my reason above for why that is. Wasilla does provide more of the large box stores and other well known commercial shopping alternatives so you don't have to drive into Anchorage as much. I might add that the drive from Wasilla to Anchor…

Interesting article By Tom Van Riper, Forbes.com Aug 20, 7:55 pm EDT What do sports fans spend the most time grousing about? Above all else, it’s lousy teams or high ticket prices. Woe is the fan forced to put up with both at once. Who wants to pay premium prices to sit in the stands and watch the losses mount? Fans in Miami know about that. Over the past year, the city’s four major sports teams – the Dolphins, Marlins, Heat and Panthers – have combined to win just 40 percent of their games while fans have forked over money for tickets and accouterments at the seventh-highest rate among 29 major sports metros. Throw in a $38,632 median household incom…

http://www.adn.com/opinion/story/567867.html Some quotes… * Gov. Palin's nomination clearly alters the landscape for Alaskans as we survey this race for the presidency -- but it does not overwhelm all other judgment. The election, after all is said and done, is not about Sarah Palin, and our sober view is that her running mate, Sen. John McCain, is the wrong choice for president at this critical time for our nation. ** Sen. Barack Obama, the Democratic nominee, brings far more promise to the office. In a time of grave economic crisis, he displays thoughtful analysis, enlists wise counsel and operates with a cool, steady hand. The same cannot be said of Se…

This is becoming a broken record. Nobody thinks McCain is the right man for our times. Not even the folks who know him best!!! Republican Charles Mathias served in Congress from Maryland for 26, years, in the House for 3 terms beginning in 1961, three terms in the Senate, retiring at the end of the term in 1987. Mathias who has known McCain for many years, does not criticize him in any way. Rather he affirms his choice: Source

The embarrassment of riches. Wow! http://www.politico.com/news/stories/1008/14963.html Interesting how this "Commie" "Terrorist" is appealing to so many folks who call themselves Republicans. Could it be, maybe, that they're looking through the smokescreen and seeing the reality that Obama is really a Centrist with better plans for the future of this country?

Just wondering if there any people on this board who play Modern Warfare 2 on Xbox live. I would consider myself a casual gamer some of the people... ok most of the people on the multiplayer seem to take the game entirely too seriously and play it non stop. It might be fun to set up a clan or do some multiplayer matches with fellow Bear fans. This is going to be a long offseason for the Bears might be a fun way to pass the time.

Since there are people who read this, after the customer service I've received over the past month, for God's sake, don't use AT&T for your home phone service or internet. My God, this is awful. This is the 3rd time in the past month and the 2nd time this week my service has gone out for no reason, and now it won't be back on until next Tuesday.
