This may be it for Hilly what Zaidman is speculating. If so, thank you Hilly for all the years of service, I hope you're ok!

I was not able to actually watch the game, but followed it on NFL.COM on play by play and have read quite a few articles. Sucks being in a place where you can't watch the game, but next week I will be watching on the big Sky.... In terms of Lovie, nothing much new here as far as I am concerned, I tend to think he may have been trying to ingratiate himself to Bears fans by going for it on the 4th down call. Overall I think the game shows, again, that he is not a smart coach. As does the drafting, personnel decisions, and public persona. I am heartened by the D, and Url's, performance. I don't like Url much, I feel he is an overpaid lout, but if he can get b…

Bears' lineup of 2011 opponents nearly set September 14, 2010 8:24 AM | 1 Comment By Brad Biggs We're just one week into the NFL season after a doubleheader Monday night, but it's never too early to look ahead. Way ahead. Provided a labor situation doesn't go from bad to completely lost -- and football is played in 2011 -- the Bears' opponents for next season are nearly set. All that remains to be determined is which teams the Bears will face from the NFC West and the NFC East (they will play the corresponding finisher from each of those divisions). Here is the Bears' lineup of opponents for 2011: BEARS' 2011 OPPONENTS Home Atlanta Car…

In my morning perusal, read on another board about the prospect of the Bears entertaining the idea or signing Adalius Thomas in light of the recent loss of Hillenmeyer. Why not? Don't think it really will happen, as the Jets and Dolphins are much more interested, but intriguing nonetheless. Also from the Chicagobears.com website: Read that Forte won the "NFC player of the week" - http://www.chicagobears.com/news/NewsStory.asp?story_id=7076 And this from Larry Mayer's blog - Do the Bears lead the NFL in any statistical categories after their Week 1 win over the Lions? David H. San Antonio, Texas As a team, the Bears are tied with the Col…

I know that Mike Martz is supposedly all right with the current wide receivers that we have however, we had a chance to obtain two of the better receivers in league during the off-season and one of the two was just recently released. The question is would you send Devin Hester to Arizona in order to obtain Anquan Boldin and would you have signed T. J. Houshmandzadeh who was released by Seattle for some reason that is not completely clear. Seattle would have to pay Houshmanzadeh the majority of the salary that he would receive after signing the free agent contract last year since Houshmanzadeh was placed on waivers. I think with the fact that Hester return skills have d…

On beating the Cowboys......I think we need to have the same effort from the Defense this week as last. But if Peppers can put Romo out it would be a plus. Now i don't wish that but! Now lets see the Boys have Austin,Bryant, Williams, Hurd and Olgetree as WR and Whitten at TE so I think that we are going to try to cover more with the nickel defense.Lacker & brigger can stop the 3 Cowboy RB'S so thats not a problem there. I think that keeping Romo in the pocket and letting Pepprs chase him will be the difference to our offensive game. If we get good field position like we had in the Lions game we will be a different team. We are going to have to block the 3-4 meaning m…

September 16, 2010 Bears sign reserve linebacker Wilson to one-year deal By: Larry Mayer | Last Updated: 9/16/2010 11:08 AM LAKE FOREST, Ill. – The Bears on Thursday signed linebacker Rod Wilson to a one-year contract. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Wilson replaces Hunter Hillenmeyer, who was placed on injured reserve Tuesday due to a concussion he suffered in the Bears’ third preseason game against the Arizona Cardinals. Wilson was selected by the Bears in the seventh round of the 2005 draft. After missing his rookie season with a knee injury, he appeared in 28 games in 2006-07, recording 30 special teams tackles and 12 stops on defense. Af…

  9. Vincent Jackson to only miss four games if traded Posted by Gregg Rosenthal on September 16, 2010 1:56 PM ET A potential trade of Chargers wide receiver Vincent Jackson just got easier. Jason Cole of Yahoo! Sports reports that Jackson will only miss four games at the start of the 2010 season, should he get traded anytime soon. (Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union-Tribune also has the news.) Jackson remains suspended three games by the NFL for violating the league's substance abuse policy. Jackson was also set to miss an additional three games after he reported to a team because he was placed on the Chargers roster exempt list. But the NFL and NFLPA met Thur…

Some people are just capable of doing something amazing in their lives. Some run, sing, play the piano, etc. Idiot savant stuff. Tillman has been able to strip a ball since, I suspect, birth. I can picture it now... His big brother comes up, grabs a toy from Tillman. P-Nut calmly tracks his brother down from behind, and rips the ball clean.

    1. Devin Hester is a true reciever. He had several big plays today and looked the part like never before. Lets hope this continues. 2. Mike martz can adjust a game plan. His changing up the game plan was masterfull. Knowing his line was in trouble he took it out of the lines hands started the quick passing game that did not require a lineman to hold his block. Absolutely Genius. I say Genius because I never seen it from a Team in chicago before. Great win. No last minute blow ups. Truely a coaching win.
