Looks as though the Jets could be shopping both DT Sheldon Richardson and S Calvin Pryor today. I believe last year we were interested in Richardson (?) but they wanted too much. Now he might be had for a fourth (which we have extra of). As far as the financials go, not sure how feasible it would be. Since the Bears moved up and invested everything for the Trubisky pick, that signals to me a few things: 1. Pace is staking his job on this pick. 2. Trubisky will be given every possible chance to win the job. 3. Trubisky absolutely will be starting next year, regardless of how well Glennon does. 4. The Bears are embracing the new era approach to the passing game. With all of that said, I don't care who is there with the second pick. If Cam Robinson is available, that's a slam dunk. It seems to me that by picking Trubisky with this pic that Pace is not worried about his job. This seems more like an NBA draft pick in NFL draft pick. Picking on potential. And if a general manager is willing to pick a guy this high and sacrifice so many pics for a guy that is very likely not gonna play next year, then he has little fear of losing his job next year.

By beating the 49ers last season it cost the Bears 3 draft picks.

Now that we've thrown in on QB, the strength of the draft remains DB and TE. We also have big name defenders falling. Can we get a Jonathan Allen our Malik Hooker in the 2nd?

Pace talked a lot today about drafting players with top intangibles, who fit the positive "vibe" in the locker room, and wanting to immediately get better. I'm taking that to heart here when I try a draft that makes sense and that Pace might be trying to pull off based on that criteria. The analysts, beat writers of the national sports media outlets are the biggest culprits and if you listen closely to them they back peddle after they make they're claims. This year more than ever before the info has been flowing in a different directions everyday. The NFL Network is the worst at it as they try to scoop the others plus create a buzz for the league.

Hear me out... The Browns are the Browns. They could easily pass on Myles Garrett. There is also every indication they love Mitch Trubisky. I don't think it's likely, but they could very well pass on Garrett. There is at least some speculation out there about whether or not Garrett takes plays off, or if he's lazy.
